@Iwien I do not know of many MMO's on the PS4 other than the ones suggested. If your choice is between FF14 and Elder Scrolls online and you're looking for a more WOW like experience, then I think I'd pick FF14. I had a lot more fun with the time I spent in FF14 than Elder Scrolls Online. For me FF14 scratched the MMO itch and Elder Scrolls just made me want to play Skyrim.
How does it compare to WoW?
I felt they're pretty comparable, but I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Both designed by studios who put all the money and lots of effort into them, both games feel like very complete MMO's. But I preferred FF14 personally. The art direction immersed me more and I really enjoyed that any 1 character can play any class or role. Just equip a different item and switch jobs; didn't need to make 5 characters to try each gameplay style.
Like WoW, is it important to join a guild to raid endgame instances or do they even exist in FFXIV.
There are guilds and many active members as well as end game raids. They also have these world events where large enemies appear and anyone in the vicinity can join into the fight; pretty neat.
Are there still a lot of players playing it?
Yes, I believe so. FF14 was the second biggest MMO in the world a couple years ago. Not sure where it is now but I'm sure it's still very active.
How easy is it to set up raiding party?
How do you or do you need to communicate with other players?

Can you play just PVE or is PVP an option?
There is a PVP arena or whatever with several game modes ranging from 1v1, 4v4, 8v8 to big battles where they split like 20-75 players into 3 teams to fight over an objective.
And finally, should I also be looking at Elder Scrolls on-line as well?

Was playing Nioh up until last week, which is really really good. Beat it and was on "The Way of The Samurai" end-game. But once I started Horizon Zero Dawn I can't stop. It's like a cross between Witcher 3 and Farcry. It's the most beautiful PS4 game I have seen and is the first one to make me think that I may not rebuild my gaming rig next time. Here is a screenshot I took yesterday.

Started playing the 14 day free trial of Final Fantasy XIV a few days ago. Started off kinda meh but yesterday I lost 5 hours of my life. Funny how a good MMORPG can warp time.
Was seriously considering getting Horizon Zero Dawn. Still considering it but after yesterday, I'm no so sure anymore. FFXIV could seriously dominate my gaming for awhile.

Would like a go at Horizon Zero dawn beyond 30-60 fps games like that and Wind Waker + BotW make me annoyed. Speaking of which i actually like the look of the Switch over the others consoles due to 720p 230ppi 60fps games on that 2.5 hours without a charge on Zelda is quite a feat. This is the same PPI as a 19 inch 4K screen which is twice as sharp as the average screen most Scorpio or PSPro users will have.
Zelda + Mighty/GH for a 3hr session away from home would be quite amazing and mario kart and rocket league and overwatch might come. I can see this as something all my fav online games get squished into portable mode which is exactly the direction they needed to go. Two consoles was spreading out Nintendo anyways switch suits them perfect. It is just like the fly fishing rods and i bought into that switch concept too because it was smart.

EU or US? It is great the only downside is i like 4v4 for more spaz! The weird flicker on advertisement boards bothers me it mght go away at 4k or 8K i run 1080p 120fps and that is all i dislike, Heck how can u dislike RL? They will kill it on Switch with local Wifi and online.

After hundreds of matches, I am on break from rocket league. I go through spurts with that game but damn it is awesome. Got my brothers modded Xbox and have been loading it up with classics I find at flea markets. Just found kotor, sims 2 and a ton of metal slug games. Already have a ton of games on the hard drive. Fun!

Yess! Such a great game. I remember I convinced my Dad's friend to let me borrow his copy then played it so much he just let me keep it
. I was never that into Star Wars until I came across the series! Honestly I think most of my love for Star Wars comes from those games. The movies are great but it just doesn't compare to building your own lightsaber and force choking chumps while being a galactic detective.

The game is pretty timeless, I mean if you are a graphics whore it might bug you a bit but game still looks great. Old Xbox games are rare and hard to find. Anything good try to hold onto them. I set the console up on an old tv and just blast away on it. I even have that old loaf controller (the huge one). Wish I still had my dreamcast, used to love virtua tennis, power stone and bass fishing

Still obsessed w BotW. Playtime over 150 hrs now... almost done with story but I'm just basking in the glory of it and collecting stuff/doing sidequests/upgrading armor.
All I will say is I fuckin hate Lynels and I need to kill a ton for mats to upgrade this set I have. I just cheese em cos I can't figure out anything good/reliable besides animation-locking them w my own attacks.
Also thought I was doing good on korok seed progress (well over 100 now) til I looked up how many exactly there are......... damn there is so much to do.

Just had a moment when the power went out today in the middle of my gaming session 
.. Thanks to the Switch that didn't interrupt my Zelda though! I never really thought about it before but it's awesome that if the power goes out you can just undock and play for a few more hours. Loving this thing more and more every day! Have you tried the pro controller or amiibos yet @muunch? Amiibos are OP .
Also I want to vent about For Honor.. Pre-ordered the collector's edition last October when I was all hyped during the beta.. Ubisoft STILL hasn't sent it out yet even though it released in Feb.
Bought it right from their store!
I contacted them right away and they've been running me around telling me it's about to ship any day now for the last month! Sheesh. Gonna contact my credit card company to do a chargeback as soon as I can. I didn't really even want the game after the announced they weren't supporting servers so it's running on P2P; now it already has 10$ cosmetic micro transactions.. Super disappointed in this game. I was really looking forward to it.
I hope Mount and Blade 2 comes out soon to wash the awful taste of For Honor out of my mouth.

Haven't used amiibo. I'll wait til after I finish first cos I'd feel cheap using em to play through.
I managed to get that REALLY big horse the other day and man it's sweet.

My pro backpack had already shipped or else I'd have gotten that but the pro backpack is definitely nice. It has a lot of room and the quality/fit is top notch.
The cityslicker just would have given me the ability to use my regular backpack AND the cityslicker slung over my shoulder at the same time but I doubt I'll need that unless on a big trip.
The pro backpack can fit my system+all wires+procontroller+shitload of games plus my 3ds (and it's case with wires&games) and a vape or 2 +accessories so I'm happy with it.
only complaint is the "Nintendo switch" patch, showing off the contents of the bag to everyone around you. I may just cover it up and put the
@underdog patch over it to be a lil less conspicuous

MarioKart8 will be awesome, Will it blur slighty in motion though on ips? I am Mr Fussy but Nintendo Switch + Nintendo Switch Everywhere Messenger Bag + HORI Switch LAN Adapter would be wanted for MK8 Deluxe. I think that is all i will sell the dock + joyonthingy + HDMI cable + box i will just lift out a charger screen and 2 grey joycon.

Hoping it's good, I've been playing BotW on my IPS 21:9 2560x1080 with no real issues, but MK8 going to run 1080p 60fps rather than BotWs 900p 30fps. Not sure about undocked, as I've used it really sparingly. I should probably try it out more but I've been extremely careful while waiting for my tempered glass screen protector to arrive and thus have been minimizing the amount of docking+undocking I do.
Maybe I'm just really good at justifying my shitty/frivolous purchases but I feel like videogames are pretty cheap entertainment per hour. I bought the switch($300)+BotW($60)+pro backpack($50) = let's just say $420 after tax/etc, which is probably on the high end, considering I got 20% off the system+game (maybe just the game idk) and 5% off the backpack...
$420/150hrs so far in BotW.
$2.80 per hour of entertainment. (and I could probably not factor the system into the equation til I get more games/etc and could probably just leave out the backpack period as it's completely unnecessary, I just wanted the #s to be as high as possible to make a point)
Compare that to going to see a movie etc. Also I bet I'll sink at least another 150 in.
