Hope this one don't get anyone mad....but....
FUCK YOU people who don't leash your dog in areas where the law requires it...and...while we're at it .... stop crapping up my lawn!
I've taken my dog out for a run only to be chased by someone else's dog off leash in areas where a leash is required. And yes...I steer clear of the dog park. My dog is 'run' trained so that he remains in a heel position where his head is always inches from my left knee. It took me a long time to teach him to be dependable like that during a run. He's so cool about it that unless his space is invaded by surprise by another dog I can almost forget he's there. The few times I've tried to explain to the other dog owner that I specifically pick the location to run in because it has a leash law and that toward the end of a run I may not have the speed or strength to react to their dog causing my dog to leave his position and trip me up, cause I'm holding a leash (Duh)... has not always gone well. On other occasions I've been told by the other owner as their dog is rapidly approaching ... "it's ok, my dog is well trained and loves everyone" .. my response to that one is "That's good to know but the problem is not your dog... its mine..." in the hopes they'd back off.
Oh, and another thing....I never take my dog out without a couple plastic bags in my pocket to pick up his crap. Ever run over dog crap mowing your lawn during the afternoon sun on a muggy day in Florida? You start to understand that picking up your dog's crap is more important than you thought.

No shit man!! We said fuck that a long time ago. We have our own Thanksgiving feast for ourselves and our elderly neighbor who lives alone. We also had a friend over this year too.
