I agree with you, pangolin. I don't need to know all the nitty gritty details as to what's gone wrong, but I very much appreciate being kept in the loop so I can have reasonable expectations and not the ones I make up as my mind wanders.

Which brings me to.... @Dejan LimelightHerb, if the tax man doesn't fight some of the "dubious" claims I'm going to make on my claim this month (I'm not ommitting "fraud" fraud, just stretching the truth a bit) then I be buying asap. If not, I'll save a bit and grab it anyway as I was interested to start with and everything since the announcement has turned my interest into desire.

Hopefully or I might kick this off my list for a year to see how this gets received with all the aluminum already part way through my portable reviews anyway. With the delays already and self admittance of not being much of a vaporist. Makes me question a lot about this device clueless that aluminum and plastic wasnt going to be a selling point. Makes me wonder how well this will perform if its just theory in a box without proper testing.

The delays are what they are. Granted, this could have been done faster under different circumstances, but in thus reality, thus was the best we could do.

I have explained the materials a few posts above, PEEK doesn't have any particular downsides with this implementation and there is no bare aluminum in the airpaths, the contact surface is hard anodization.

In any case, a lot of units will go to reviewers long before any are shipped out to customers. Admittedly, we are late with this but will correct it at the expense of people waiting a bit before they pull the trigger.

I guess im just surprised that you were surprised that was a thing in Dry herb vaping which just makes me question how dialed in this will be or if ill be beta testing it basically. With the flex of best materials ever used I feel thats a fair thing to wonder. Mostly just content pieces for me on battery portables I tend to lean more analog on the go. Being it seems the 10 percent extra will be there ill end up purchasing it if the availability works out

You are correct, the parts around the oven and the cooler are PEEK, the body is PC on all the devices.

The idea was to have a removable oven without the need for any tools, but I have failed at designing this without compromising performance and heater integrity (depending on the user of course, but didn't want to risk it). I will stay committed to bringing this to fruition in the future (If the Frolic does not fail, everything goes to shit and I off myself of course)

Hi Dejan, I’m new to this forum and came across your device, it looks really interesting! Sorry in advance for the long post.

I’m looking to switch from combustion, but I know I’ll need a heavy hitter to make the switch worth it. I’ve looked at a few devices such as the TM2, Tafee Bowle 2, vestratto tornado, multiple ball vapes, and the silver surfer. I’ve narrowed it down to needing a portable, but I’d like as similar (vapor) performance to a ball vape as I can possibly get. The TM2’s battery life and the TB2’s form factor are both issues for me for how much I’d be paying. The tornado interests me a lot because of how many people I’ve heard say that it shelved their ball vapes, but butane vapes have their own set of challenges (plus its soooo hard to get). I’ve also heard its taste isn’t as good as more convection forward vapes, which is a bit important to me since coming from combustion I’ve never really tasted anything other than burnt plant material.

How would you say the Frolic’s performance is on-demand mode compared to the other vapes I’ve mentioned, in terms of how hard hitting the high is and the taste? I’m looking for a heavy-hitter device that’ll last me a long time, so I’m fine with the higher price tag (though the TB2 is definitely pushing it lol)

We will have the units at shipping points from where they will immediately go out to reviewers and some other guys and the giveaway winner and sales will start the same day. I owe everyone another apology. I have unintentionally been withholding details about the Frolic from the beginning. Firstly, the features, due to the changes during the final phase of development and recently the performance. The latter due to a few reasons. I have just realized how weird it was not to show these things in a timely manner but a set of circumstances got us here.

Anyways, here is a video where I tried to show the Frolic in action. It's somewhat underperforming here though because the herb I had at hand is really dry and not that good, but hopefully you get the idea. I will try my best to make some videos worthy of social media as soon as things allow me to.
P.S. The difference between on demand at 240 degrees Celsius and session at 220 degrees Celsius is negligible.

Yes, this is the max temp setting. Takes a little less or a little more than 1s in demand after the initial heat up, depending on the pause between draws.
Battery life, you should get around 10 bowls out of it. Take this with a grain of salt, could be less, could be more, depending on your vaping style. But this largely depends on the battery type and state because of the high amp draw, some cells spike in internal resistance, that's why we went for the 50B.
