Hi, I see a new vape pen in the french market, it's called the Focus, 6 t° settings, replacable batteries (18650), ceramic chamber and adjustable airflow...seems rather nice for the price!

I got bored waiting for my Grasshopper and ordered one. 100€+10€ for the water adapter. Finally a product where we don't have to pay extra in Europe. For a 150$ Solo I had to pay 180€

I have lots of 18650 batteries and chargers from flashlights. I always wanted adjustable airflow in my Solo.

I can't wait to hold it in my hands (supposedly it is heavy), touch the strange looking surface (I imagine something like fake leather), hit it dry and and through water tools with different loads and airflow settings.

I did not get any extra shields. The have 3 different kinds for different places. One ceramic and two stainless steel. Available colors were black, white, coffee. I bought black.

I think it comes with two stickers for the LEDs. One in °C, one in Fahrenheit. This probably looks cheap, like the surface. Click 4 times to turn on, click 4 times to turn off. I am not sure if I like this. The hidden usb port to charge I may or may not use. We'll see....

Hi everyone, I'm new to this informative community; just joined after lurking for years! :/ anyway, my question is relatively simple: how big is the bowl on this focusvape? I am hoping the bowl is the same 'standard' size of titan 2 and most importantly the pinnacle pro as I love the loading system of the pinnacles bullets, fill em up, insert a pipe screen folded to fit the top of the bullet and leave preloaded in the revolver bullet holder. Brilliant system for an ocd herb connoisseur such as myself. I leave my bullets loaded with different strains all labelled up for weeks on end. Anyway thanks in advance to all u guys. And thanks to this forum it has made my life as a vapist / vaporist so much easier. :)

I have no idea as to what size the 'bowl' is on this thing. We need to wait and get some reviews first and see if its up to scratch. The PNP bullet system was great, As far as i am aware not available on any other vape.
The Solo or air has an interchangeable stem that's quick to load and clean.

Hi lookhigh, the bullets for the pnp actually fit perfectly im the titan 2 however the temperature isn't calibrated correctly for conducting the heat through the metal bullets so 1 has to up the temp accordingly to accommodate the necessary extra heat required for heating the bullets as well as the material inside. Also yes I like to keep the air stems (i like the tipped 1's ) prepacked also labelled with different strains. :)

  • Looks very good and the rubber material feels very sexy.
  • It weighs 180g including the battery. Size 172x23.6mm. Battery is 2500mAh 20A
  • Heating chamber is 18mm deep and 8mm in diameter. Holds 10% less than a solo/air. Grasshopper is 18.5x8.5mm
  • Came with tool, brush, 3 spare shields for mouthpiece, spare mouthpiece, usb cable, charger, manual in de/en/es/fr. The shield for the bottom of the chamber was loosely lying in the chamber. I used the tool to push it to the bottom. Now it does not come out anymore
  • It blinked 12 times to reach 160°C. I'll use a stopwatch tomorrow. Felt like 12 seconds
  • Had to use the usb cable it came with to charge. My phone's micro usb was not long enough (it is only 6mm vs. 6.5mm of the include cable) to reach inside. See photo

  • It came partially charged. When turning on the device the red light was on indicating a low charge (white > 3.8V, red < 3.6V)
After burning for a minute I charged it and it showed red for a second, then green indicating a medium charge. After 45 minutes it was white and off (= fully charged) after less than 3h total.
Too late to vape now. Just heating up to 220°. It remembers the last temperature. Blinks 14 times and buzzzz, it is there. Took around 30 seconds

You press 4 times to turn on / off, twice to increase the temperature. When on 220°, pressing twice goes back to 160° (buy why does this take time???)

From the manual:
Each bowl heating duration will last 3 minutes, after that, the device will go into a sleep mode for another 5 minutes,and the ceramic oven will stop heating. In the sleep period, press the power button down for 2 seconds to wake upthe device, and the ceramic oven will start re-heating back to the last temperature setting used.
Press the power button 4 times to turn off the device, the unit will vibrate once. Each cycle duration of 8 minutes (3 minutes of working + 5 minutes of sleep mode), after that, the device will automatically power off.

Hi mods, I created another thread about the Focus some days before this one, is it possible to fuse them for less confusion...?

I heard it blows the Storm/Flowermate/imag out of the water....wait and see...

Yes, it's a review unit lacentralevapeur.com sent me, it was planned for delivery today although it didn't arrived....maybe tomorrow.

Thanks PPN. :) Yes however the website is in french and is a little confusing to me (I was using my air lol). Nothing google translate and half hour of mucking around wouldn't resolve though. Also sorry for not stating earlier but those measurements for the chamber sound about right for the pinnacles bullets. I swear a (bullet loadable) ceramic chamber with isolated airpath and interchangable 18650's if reliability holds up and warranty is good then this is the answer i maybe looking for and i will b ordering 2 1 as a primary & 1 as a backup. If I order now I will prob have this before my (July 2015) preorder ti gh :p

I ordered it from vapowelt.de, the link is at the end of post #6.

I have used the focusvape now twice, dry on green/180, through water on blue/190. First my complaints:
  • When filling a load it is hard to see how much material is already in the chamber. A solo stem is transparent and easier to fill. No problem for people who always use a full load, but my solo stems are always 1/3 full because of my low tolerance.
  • The intake holes make noise. They are not exactly whistling, but blow hard through a solo/air stem and you know what I mean.
  • I did not exactly get big clouds, just normal, a little more than with the solo. Strangely, the clouds came later. On the solo hits #2-4 are the strongest. I used 2/3 of the chamber with medium grind.
  • After 3 minutes it goes into standby, no beep, no vibration. You hit and the air is cold. Happened every time. A long push on the button and it is back almost instantly.
On the positive side, this is a good vape. After 2x3 minutes the ABV was darker than with the Solo after 12 minutes, so it extracts faster (no surprise). I got equally high. I'd say flavour is better on the focus. I really considered canceling my order of the Grasshopper.

Focus is arrived yesterday!

It seems to be a very solid and well built vaporizer as well as a performer in term of vapor. I'll post my full review soon but I can already tell you it's a great contender to the X-Max/Storm and it doesn't come with a strong plastic taste/smell (only a bit of "new" taste).

Six times now for 2x3 minutes each. Battery is now at 3.6V (measured). I haven't touched my Solo since. On pink or red it produces nice clouds. I can finally clear my bubbler at the end of the draw. With the Solo I had to touch the hot GonG and often I pulled the GonG out of the Solo
