Focus V Aeris

So.

I am about to do what they say should never be done……fix something that isn’t broken.

Just ordered this to try out.

And another mouthpiece from focus v so i have a back-up when i fuck it up.

Lead time is 2 weeks. Will report back here when i test it out.
So. Got it in today.

Took one hit and took it out. The hits are MUCH hotter with this setup.

I like the mouthpiece and the hole plug, but the snorkel is annoying as it whistles.

$42 was worth to try it, but i dont like it personally. At least Now i have an extra mouthpiece if mine breaks…..so i am not totally unhappy.

Oh well….back to stock i go.

Just bought mine, from to the cloud, 15% discount 202.00 with shipping. Not bad. Sold my Carta V 2 for this so I hope I made the right decision.

Send him a message and ask if he has any titanium aeris joysticks available. The ones on his Etsy store are for the proxy.

Debating one of these now just for the purer vape path compared to Carta/Puffco because it doesn't go through the atty. Must taste better.

The only reason I haven't tried one is because my 15 years of experience with Wax Pens tells me there's no way that short vapor path is gonna be comfortable. Yet every owner says it somehow works :hmm:

Anyone becoming a FocusV INVESTOR? lol Or am I the only one getting inbox spammed?

You're not the only one, lol. I was kinda interested in the white Aeris. But I kept getting spammed about becoming an investor, which immediately makes me suspicious of a company. And in a lot of the same marketing material, they're saying they want to be "the Tesla of vaporizer companies". What, so the Aeris is gonna blow up in my fucking mouth if it gets a little wet?

Gave me the same vibes as crypto scammers. So...

Love my Aeris, by far the best device in this form factor imo. Using the zach harrison kit with a gee west (from nope2dope) joystick cap in the non plugged hole. Prefer it over my carta 2 even, and it's leagues ahead of anything else in the form factor I've tried.

Looking forward to nope2dope releasing a dry top mp/"bottomless banger" that allows for a traditional cap to be used.

I know it might still take a minute but i'm curious once you get a proper functioning Pivot if it will shelve your aeris (/max?) like @80Sixed ! If it does that's enough for me to wipe this off my vas list! And it's a very short list! lol

I got the replacement Pivot base and there's 0 chance that it will shelve my Aeris. To be frank that idea is laughable to me. They are absolutely not in the same ballpark at all re capabilities. Not sure how much I can expand in this thread - if you make a comparison thread I'd be happy to go into detail, or DM me and I can provide more details.

What use case do you see for the aeris that either a water cooled rig or the pivot wouldn’t be pretty objectively better for?

Road use, hotels, traveling to friends - virtually any use case where I am more concerned about quality of hit re: Pivot. Aeris gets me a full size atomizer, temp control, custom hold times/profiles, modular batteries with wireless and wired charging. There's def an argument re: size for how discreet the Pivot is, but I don't think it's as discreet as people make it out to be. No one hits nic sticks vertically and the mouthpiece is strange and draws eyes. And a dtv5xl + pico looks more like an old school mod based nic vape that you still see around.

Re: water cooled rig, I don't use water with dabs anymore, exclusively lowish temp dry hits (this could change the calculus with others for sure), but I guess it depends if we're talking e-rigs or regular rigs. Regular rigs, obviously biggest difference is torch, timing/thermometer, etc, nothing really unique to the Aeris vs other e-rigs there though.

If we're comparing the Aeris to other e-rigs, with a few aftermarket accessories, my Aeris + max competes with almost every other e-rig I have, but is also easier to pack up and take with me. There are a couple e-rigs, specifically a new one, that top it in vapor production and quality, but otherwise - and especially for 3d ceramic chamber devices, I feel like I can get the best low temp, thick vapor dabs.

Has anyone tried the cloud vortex mod on the Aeris yet?

Looks like an absolute shredder, however the whistling is a deal breaker for me. Not to mention kind of being turned off by the stainless steel. This is the only one left on my VAS list, so hopefully won't be too long before I finally join the club but i'm not too happy about a member's recent experience on a carta out of the box cracked chamber and how FocusV dealt with it so we'll see.
