Hello @vaporonly
Regarding the ceramic screens, I find them to be perfect for the Flowermate. You can use them as spacers at the bottom but I think they really come into their own if you put them on top. Pack in your herbal blend then add one or more ceramic screens. Although I'm no scientist, they seem to contribute to the "heat sink" effect cuz I feel the vapor density is thicker this way (although the bowl may finish a bit earlier) They also help prevent stuff getting caught up in the mouthpiece if you have removed the fine mesh screen which many of us seem to do.
I was puzzled by the "cannot be used in vaporizers" bit on the SSV website too. I think what they mean is that they don't fit in their vapes as screens. I got my glass flowers for the Ascent there and have been using both types of screens without any problems. You'll have to ISO soak the ceramic ones periodically.
I can give the ceramic screen a big thumbs up for use with the Flowermate.
Well-, come, & read, the answer is in this ( rather, yes ) long thread; in short, however, if you "X"-periment, the extraction process becomes more efficient with progressive, "HIGH"-er temps.
As for effect, it may be an individual experience, however, there is info here as well; other threads also, for the full spectrum, as a function of temperature (of course the real genie is in the NUG. wink-wink).
Re- search, Grasshopper.
There is no better satisfaction than than answering one's own questions. Experiment.
& yes, unless I am in a blaze of a haze, I read. & learn.
Off course, I two yam won heckoffa serial Puffer to. Hey. maybe dads why I have had ADD since I was 12!
Anyway, extraction @ progressively higher temperatures becomes more efficient, and the effects @ different temps can affect body, and mind, differently.

Try it out Bud, end LUK. PAX.
PS If you can snag a FM 5s ( or its clones ) 4 a good bargain, it has 3 temp settings.
I have no money to dump into vaporizers. I think there is someone on this forum who got both.U can tell us? After you get an 5s, or the many other toys on the marketplace.
PAX.
Someone on this thread mentioned they had both, but preferred the one temp version due to the longer run time before the auto shut-off. YMMVI have no money to dump into vaporizers. I think there is someone on this forum who got both.

or, you can make a makeshift one until you can invest in one. Thanks to Max, some of us got a 5s basically for the price of the single temp. Gotta strike while the iron is hot, if you can.
Really? Are those specs chinese company gives us wrong? That is great news for me. Just considering edibles is there difference in effects when using vaporized or non vaporized marijuana doing them and what kind of difference it is? Just less potent? I know there are all these boiling points of compounds but i am more interested what user can feel.I prefer the FM5S to the FM5 (have both at home), and I would wait before ordering the FM8 (have a beta to test)
And there's little difference in temperature between the FM5 temp and the FM5S on red.
Says here that max temp of herbal aire is 205 c.I have the V5.0 that I got on the massdrop, and I have NOT been able to get a buzz by revaping my AVB from the FM in either my Lotus or my HA. I am pretty confident that the 5.0 gets all the goods out of my product. I will say, however, that the last few hits don't taste very good, but taste is secondary (for me) to effects. And the AVB is quite dark at the end.
Edit: Not my ABV either...
