First vaporizer ever. Should I pick up a Dynavap M7 XL or a Dani Fusion 2.0?

I recently started smoking, been rolling joints and packing bowls up until now. Reddit has really sold me on trying out dry-herb-vaping, but I'm unsure what device will best fit my wants.

- I like going through the motions of rolling my joint, taking the 30 minutes outside to smoke it, be by myself for a little.
- I'm not looking for an instant fix at the moment, I smoke maybe ~3 nights of the week.
- I'll typically just smoke between 0.6g-1g of bud when I do smoke, from a joint or a bowl.
- I have no physical or dexterity issues.
- I believe in you get what you pay for. I rather buy something great and not have to upgrade later on.

I don't think a battery-powered vape will match my wants the best. So from some research, I've stuck debating between Dynavap M7 XL and the Dani Fusion 2.0. Any thoughts or recommendations?

if you only vape at home you might think about buying a ball vape to use on a bong I think it's the best solution.
by ball vape I mean desktop devices composed of an electronic pid for temperature control, a resistor connected to a housing which is generally made of titanium or other similar materials with rubies or other types of spheres inside through which the air passes which, when heated, vaporizes the weed in this way and with these materials you certainly have a power and flavor that many other devices do not have... they allow you to choose to take bigger shots by extracting more quickly (even in 1 or 2 shots at high temperatures) but you can also enjoy a slow session starting from low temperatures get it if you are sure you want to continue using it, it will remain as a definitive device you won't need anything else at home... while if your aim is to get a vape to try if you like them and maybe later buy something better, the Dynavap are still excellent for what they cost and will certainly satisfy you to start with

Hey Bobby, welcome on FC !

I think you'll learn soon enough that smoking is a waste of material (beside other drawbacks) and that the 1g you put in a joint could last you 5 to 10 bowls/sessions depending on the device you use.

Even though the ballvape hype is at its peak these times, I don't think it will suit you...

I don't own any of the vape you mentioned (dynavap and Dani fusion), but I think you narrowed down your desire pretty well. What you want is the ritual and peace of mind that comes with it.

From what I understand the dynavap tends to be more session oriented (even though mods exist to make it a one hitter) and the Dani could potentially extract faster and hit harder... but actual users might correct me if I'm wrong.

However, if you're after a strong ritual I also encourage you to consider the vapman (and its new iteration : the vapman click). Perfect for outside use, mind-setting ritual and strong signature. (The signature is how a device alter / enhance the taste and effects of your material.)

If you haven't, you might want to look at the Thermal Accumulator and its derivates (tempest, stunner, verdavap...) that are dynavap shaped ball vapes. They can either mimic a joint session or a bong rip depending on how you use them and what thermal matrix material you use.

One last thing :
I rather buy something great and not have to upgrade later on.

There's a lot of great vapes out there and hanging with us you take the risk of buying a lot of them in the end...

Both are excellent. The M7XL is probably a little more flexible and all-purpose. It can do big, foggy hits or flavor sips. It gives several hits per heat-up, so it's reasonably joint-like. The Dani, for me, is more a one-heat-and-done vape, it's very powerful and the flavor and effects are as fantastic as any of these type vapes. It also makes several hits per heat, but I feel it's less able to dial back, though. I would say both if you want. The M7 for routine use, the Dani for a kick in the head. Other considerations: the M7 will can be stashed hot (in a Futo stash) and cools quickly; the Dani takes a bit longer to cool so it's not stashable in the same way. The M7 heats with a pocket torch, the Dani likes something more powerful.

I second the Vapman Click and the Thermal Accumulators. Both are top choices and amazing vapes.

This is a great response. But I'd add that the Dani Fusion can handle smaller loads pretty well, down to 0.05g and can run nicely using a standard 2 or 3 flame pocket torch. The heat retention of the cap makes it hard to stash away in a hurry when out and about which is why, although I prefer the Fusion, it's the Dynavap or Vapman that I take on the road.

Yeah, as much as I like ball vapes, those are major heavy hitters.

I agree with other folks on the Vapman Click. Just a beautiful device and lovely ritual.

For a battery powered experience, the XMax v3 Pro is tough to beat around the $100 price point. Or the slightly nicer Roffu by same manufacturer can sometimes be found for sale around the same price.

And and at a higher price point still, and a great complement to the vapman or one-hitter style vapes, Angus Enhanced is great at $200. A session vape so great to pass around with others. Swappable batteries (unlike the Mighty for example). And the superb flavor of halogen heaters.

Good luck on your journey in this fun vape world.

Dynavaps are overpriced imo. The Dani is superior to Dyna, but I recommend checking the Vestratto Anvil instead. Built like a tank and hits you like one for sure. Although I have some excellent devices around, the Anvil is still one of my daily drivers.

the anvil vestratto is more overpriced than the dynavap in my opinion... but I agree it's an excellent vape I often use it especially with Hash

Just picked up the Dani Fusion 2.0 y'all, thank you! Looking forward to trying vaping out.
well I'm sure you like it, even if you may not appreciate the first period because there is a learning curve on how to heat correctly and recognize the right color of the abv
and since it's your first vape, remember to do a burn off, heat it empty 3 times should be enough, then you can use it normally, otherwise wash it well first (usually isopropyl alcohol is used)

Hands down the right choice, even considering the ecosystem of vapes outside the Dyna or Fusion. The Dyna is a neat device that I still enjoy, but has been outclassed by the Anvil and Dani for years.

The sleeve that comes with the Fusion is great for putting a hot cap into to unscrew/reload, or just to store. As mentioned, it works natively with 14mm bongs, and the tip itself fits nicely into a 10/14 glass adapter with a few extra orings. You absolutely should try it through a piece with or without water. It milks like crazy.

It doesn't need a big torch unlike the Dani or Anvil. I find a pinpoint dual flame on the bottom ring, heated 3 seconds past the click, gets fantastic extraction. Or, for more joint like rips, you can stop heating at the click and enjoy the quick heatup/cooldown all the way through the load. ABV should come out between looking like latte brown to coffee grounds (if you push it hard like me).

To add/clarify this:
Burn off is good for parts that can't be cleaned, like electronic vapes, but anything that can be cleaned with ISO before first use should be. Don't dunk the cap of the Fusion in ISO. Just wipe off the inside and outside with ISO. This is enough and will keep the heat disk from harm.

The cap rarely needs cleaning and everything else can be dunked/soaked in ISO just fine.
