Over the past several months, I have collected a "schwag jar" of previously vaped material and unused material. Yesterday, I combined this 1.5-2oz of schwag with just over 1 pound of butter. Unfortunately, the schwag was pre-ground, so I couldn't strain it effectively. I ended up with evergreen-tinted butter filled with tiny bits of vegetation. Undeterred, I bought a cheap brownie mix. The recipe called for 3/4 cup vegetable oil, so I substituted 3/4 cup (10-12 tablespoons) of my homemade schwag butter.
The brownies turned out quite moist and chewy although the schwag scent is unappetizing. Since I hadn't cut them quite evenly, I picked out the smallest brownie. It was a half-sized brownie just smaller than my thumb. I ate the brownie slowly over the course of 90 minutes then went to bed. About 30 minutes after going to bed, the effects began. I talked myself through a brief anxiety attack then tried to sleep. I kept having interesting dreams and getting up to urinate. I woke up around 11am today with a headache that I treated with Advil and Excedrin. Over the past several hours, I experienced what is probably meant by "couchlock", a sense of lethargy and mild disassociation.
The effects are wearing off, but I'm reluctant to eat a regular-sized brownie given how dramatic the effects were after eating a half-sized brownie. Also, I'm a bit of a pussy about anxiety attacks (ya think?). Interestingly, I can exercise hard for 30 minutes and not care about my heartbeat, yet I eat a brownie and start obsessively fingering my own neck for a pulse. Any thoughts on this?
