OK so he's about two weeks behind. Not bad.@chicago_animal I received the Sept 30 email that said that I should expect an invoice the following week.
I’m well-versed now in the process if you run into any issues or questions.Got my invoice yesterday! Sent a message to Marc @firewood if he can preset my temps for me. Hopefully he can help me out here, as I am a little nervous in the process of setting the temp levels. Maybe it will make sense when I have the vape.
Can't wait to try it out!

A prior post of mine went over the steps that work too.
It's not as hard as it seems. I stressed a little before I got it, but reading here had me primed, and the directions we're fairly easy to follow.
Coming into it cold would have been harder, but if you read back a few pages it will be easier.

Thanks for the support, hopefully the directions will make sense when I start tinkering with the unit.
Here's how I remember the what the button clicks all do. It helps me to think of all the possible button presses that exist from first picking the vape up, in numerical order:
1- tells you how much battery is remaining
2- set fw to level 2
3- set fw to level 3
4- set fw to level 4
5- tells you which level you're on (2,3 or 4)
6- tells you the temp of the level you're currently on. fw responds with 2 sets of buzzes: first is the hundreds column. Second is the 10s column. So bzz bzz bzz (pause) bzz bzz = 320°
7- enters fw into temp change mode of the level you're currently on. Once it buzzes back 7 times to confirm you're in the temp setting mode, then you set it to what temp you want the current level to be, using the hundreds/pause/tens method from number 6 above, but you tell it instead of it telling you.
So as an example, to make level 4 be 420° first you click 4 times to put fw on level 4. Then click 7 times to enter temp change mode. It buzzes back 7 times. Then you click 4, for 400° and it will buzz 4 times to confirm. Then you click 2 times and it buzzes back 2 to confirm.
If you want to make sure it took properly just click 6 times and see what she says back!
It really is a very nice system that makes a whole lot of sense. The big takeaway for me is thinking about there only being 7 possible choices when you pick up the vape. And I usually start with 1 to see where my battery's at.
that's happened to me once or twice. One time i tried for 6 clicks but I think it only registered 5, so it told me only 2, 3 or 4 instead of the two-part answer I expected. Another time I was already becoming medicated so I lost my count in the moment lol. I make sure to click with conviction now and it hasn't happened since. Not too fast, not too slow. Think the song "stayin alive" (just like Michael Scott doing CPR in the Office lol) in your head (or out loud) and that's a good tempo for clickingI got mine today. Will be putting it to the test later tonight. So far I really enjoy the look and feel. It’s a beautiful device with a clever design. I’ve messed around with the temp settings already - I was confused at first, but some of the posts in this thread helped. The click system makes more sense now.
One thing I noticed - it seems like my clicks aren’t registering perfectly every single time. For example, I kept trying to get to temp change mode with 7 clicks, but instead of getting 7 buzzes back, I was getting a different result. Has anyone had trouble with clicks not registering? Is it possible to click too fast or too slow?
(edit: I know a few others have given their redux of the click instructions, but I feel this is just another approach that may help some)

Truly you are AWESOME!

Hope this helps anyone that sees the temp change as kinda daunting. I only had to follow the instructions word for word the first few tries. It definitely becomes second nature
Also, I'm noticing the same thing as other users. So far it seems the heater takes a bit to warm up to get the best vapor. I also would love a boost option. I've been experimenting with putting basket screens in the bowl to its volume in half. It works well, but makes more sense to pack the bowl full and hit it over time, rather than pack/vape/empty every time. Becomes tedious, and for not much different functionality.
Still learning it. Taste is wonderful. Vapor production so far is not as volumous and quick to appear as I'd like, but I have been spoiled by some fast Vapes lately. If I have a bit of time to sip I'm reaching for the fw6 every time now, because the flavor is totally worth slowing my roll
edit: fwiw on my fury edge (and previous f2 and potv one) I always start at 368° and temp step up to approx 385°....and get vapor the entire way. So far with the fw6 I get MUCH less visible vapor as quickly from cold as I get from those little Chinese Vapes. And almost none at all at those temps, so I have to set it way higher to be satisfied with the vapor production. Like over 400 (and I NEVER go to 400 on the others) I think I need to just warm the fw6 up a bit more before really toking.
Off to do some more testing...
However my biggest fear before I bought it came true last night .Don't remove the stir stick then decide to discard abv lol . Hopefully that will only happen the once.
What I am really worried about is breaking the glass mouthpiece... Hopefully spares will be offered?/QUOTE]
I'm sure the glass tube is available to buy in his store
Ok, so I had never noticed this and some people started reporting these series of random buzzes at shutdown. I looked into it a bit and here's the story... On fw5 the heater would stay on after you let go of the button, for up to a few seconds until it shut down after timeout. The original idea was to keep the heater on if you had to release the button for a second to switch hands or adjust position, etc. On fw6 I decided it made more sense to shut off the heater when the button is not depressed to give more control back to the user, however it has a side effect - since the heater is not on during those last few seconds of draw, continued drawing causes the overdraw sensor to activate. On fw5 it almost never activated because the heater was still cranking. So on fw6 those extra buzzes at the end of the draw when you release the button is the overdraw sensor going off. I never keep drawing after releasing the button so I had never noticed the extra buzzes. This may not affect you at all, but if so and you want it fixed I do have a firmware fix for it in place. Anything shipped on Oct 23 or after has the fix. Anything from before that can be easily fixed if sent in....aaaaaand there it is, in the manual LOL
under the temp chart:
"The vaporizer will give a power down buzz within a few seconds of releasing the button after each draw." --thats gotta be what this is.
edit: "rtfm" solves most things lol
edit2: nevermind, I misread this. It's only referring to the final power down buzz, not the series of up to eight buzzes that occur while continuing to draw after the bitton is released.
There were a few delays but things are going smoothly now, hopefully will be back on track soon.OK so he's about two weeks behind. Not bad.
Thanks for posting, this is a way more intuitive way of showing it than what i have in the manual, I may have to use your format.(edit: I know a few others have given their redux of the click instructions, but I feel this is just another approach that may help some)

This is almost certainly due to not waiting long enough after the last shutdown, which includes after checking the battery finishing a draw, or setting the level or temp. You need to wait a good 3 or 4 seconds otherwise it will miss your first click(s).One thing I noticed - it seems like my clicks aren’t registering perfectly every single time.
