I'm not a fan either given some previous actions by the company, but this is sort of insulting. So, they stuck their logo on it.....that's like the "new and latest vape from company x is.....a new color!!". haha

I'm glad that they relieved the draw resistance to some extent, be interesting to see some feedback on that.

And the tweaked heating algorithm.....wasn't there something like this before....???

Right outta the gate:
“The best thing to happen to cannabis vapor since Firefly 2 is on its way.“
And in closing:
“Firefly - designed for people who love the plant.“

Yeah... I hate these kinda statements^

And anytime I see a “+” designation after a model name, it typically seems to be cosmetic changes/rebranding. It’s like marketing-speak for “nothing much”. Why even bother with this?

Given how long the FF2 has been out & its well-known shortcomings, this seems to be little more an attempt to remain relevant amongst newer entries in a fast-paced & competitive segment of the industry. This company is disappointing imo.

There are so many better ways to promote your product. But here it's bold claim after bold claim, lots of superlatives and zero evidence.

They say it's best in the world, so it must be better than any other vape out there right? We're at the peak of the tallest mountain here, you can't find anything higher to say about your product at this point. Alright!

Then they just put that here without any glimpse of even the beginning of a comparison? Zero facts? No explanation? No study? Nothing? The thing burns so hot and shiny they just lay it there on the table and you got to believe them like the Holy Revelation...

Well.... :suspicious:

Sorry, I'm a bit the other way on this. I mean I agree with all of this advertising being over the top and mega cheesy corporate.

I bought my FF2 last month. I had read forums reviews etc etc. I had tried a lot of other vapes first - didn't like the idea of the window. Not discreet. I actually thought it was open. No glass until I read more in to it. I knew something was bubbling but had a bit of overtime cash and the ff2's were also reduced.

I didn't like the learning curve- I combusted and ended up reaching out to FF on their website. A little help sorted me out. I don't like stirring after every draw, sometimes I'll leave it an extra one and then it gets 'charred' or I'll just worry about combustion again, just sitting in the back of my mind.

One thing I do enjoy is the flavour of the firefly 2. I never tried a 1 but they look really nice. Like a vintage car? I know we're not here for looks or JUST looks but once I got my sweet spot I was away. I feel like I was pulling too hard for too long.

If they have ironed a few of those things out with the airflow and heating and the plus is much more forgiving in that respect. If they have got the battery sorted and this also accommodates the owners of the previous models then I'm on board.

The only thing I think they could have done would have been to change that logo to a small display. Guess it would be expensive to get a mini round screen manufactured when a lot of people carry a wireless touchscreen in their pockets that. I just think a screen with temp and battery readout to eliminate the need for a phone would be nice for those without a smartphone or if the phone dies or is in the house or on charge. I know the ff2 flashes and you can do most of it on the vape but a screen leaves less to chance. Less guessing.

I don't think these vapes are aimed at, how do I put this tactfully/pc, elder, less capable users? Is that ok? I mean this with respect. I think a volcano and a carer could be a much better solution for these people.

I guess the ff2+ is more aimed at the 'trendy' crowd those who would buy the newest iPhone on release. Those who have more money than sense or a bit to splash out. Something that's a 'treat' birthday gift.

I mean if you look at their advertising- some info was removed from the ff2 thread. I don't think they're that active on these forums and there's an article on Cnet? These guys aren't going for the seasoned vaper that has their comfy chair and their sublimator, volcano, evo or herbie set up next to it.

Personally I don't like this throwaway culture we're in with mobile phones and batteries. I would like to see an option to send the 2 in for a screen replacement and firmware upgrade. I doubt that would happen though.

I really hope they have sorted the batteries AND kept them compatible with all previous models. That would make a lot of current owners really happy.

Everyone has their own thing, I know these are bold claims but I really do enjoy my experience with the 2. I do feel like the vapour is up there. I have a Ghost MV1. That changed my mind on what I thought flavour was. The firefly was bought after and I enjoy both in their own similar but different ways. Feel like the ghost has more of a PUNCH where the ff2 has fuller flavour which can last a little longer if you start at low temps, under 300f on some strains is really tasty. Couple of pull + stirs, bump it up. That's just me. I'm a year in to vaping, I'm still discovering and that's what I like about it.

Except there's no reason to go with an expensive desktop, the Zion and then Milaana is what killed the FF to me for good. Now with SplinterV2 on a mod, the performance is truly unmatched by the Firefly in my experience. Its learning curve may seem a little easier at first, but with on demand pure convection there's probably always going to be one... Even the Grasshopper had too many flaws to fully defeat the FF, but these convection mod based vapes are truly killer (while even an unregulated Milaana really puts it to shame for vapor, flavor, battery, imo)

Sorry Firefly, but I just bought an ArGo to replace my Firefly 2.

After several years of struggling with battery issues and being told to “just leave it charging when not in use”, to now being told to replace my batteries (which would cost me something like $70 CAD plus shipping), and now not even being able to find any batteries for sale, I’m done. Not a single firmware or app update in over a year, and no update since it’s release that has corrected the battery issues. No support or even recognition from the company. I can’t support a company like that anymore.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve really enjoyed my time with the FF2. The flavour is great. It got me into vaping and away from combustion. I will still probably use mine occasionally as long as the batteries will allow, but I’m moving on.

They said the same stuff about the first edition FF2. They advertise like apple that's for sure.

This company isn't the culture I want to support.

To be fair, it is the best tasting vaporizer I've ever used, at any temp. Notch above anything I've ever posted about.

I can't complain about their customer service as well; it is good.

But yeah, bad advertising is bad advertising. Do we know who owns them?

I wasn't ever that happy with the FF2 hence making new chamber plates and hole sizes / patterns but the 'plus' sample I got from FF makes the vape a LOT better and easier to use. Much less restriction in the airflow, much more even extraction, I personally feel that the new plus version is what the FF2 should have been.

I could care less about any advertising lingo......I do not buy vapes because of what is written about them...I use them because they work for my needs and desires.

FF2 works awesome with the pad and concentrates.....for flower....not so much fun. Have to see what happens with that minus point when it is in people hands......oh.....it is in peoples hands now...ie reviewers.

No rep to stand up for their product?
Run away if it stinks, and something does not smell right.

Maybe you should wait till users get it in their hands for a couple weeks.....or maybe yourself?

I never expect any manufacture to rep themselves here.....and I do not put them down if they do not. It is nice if they do though for sure. I mean...it's not like they just made a Zeus, Square, or cheap Chinese low ender.

SLANG Worldwide is now the parent of FF. Not sure if this is good or bad. Improvements made are definitely in the right direction but I don't like the new logo/branding they chose.

I'm hoping they revised the battery. There's a newer model due out. The batteries definitely fit the previous iterations. We're just waiting for confirmation from early testers to see if the new sets of batteries have improved.

Very interested in replacing the restricted screen. I've only had the ff2 a few months. It would be nice if they offered an upgrade service if it's just the difference of the screen and firmware

So in the mean time there's no batteries around to buy. Sorry but I buy for longevity and by using a custom battery that's unable to be kept in stock killed this one for me.

It's sad cause I liked the FF2 it but mine is worthless with out the customer support. How many months has been now that company can't even supply the batteries? That's not a good way to garnish future sales IMHO.

Same thing happened with the Elevape smart. Why do companies feel the need to use a crappy custom batteries. Drop a 186500 battery in it and I might be interested again. I don't need another paperweight and this company has shown me they can't even keep batteries in stock. Sadly I feel this thing will not be viable in the future. Heck I can't even use it in the present. Unless they improve or do away with the batteries currently used I'm no longer comfortable in recommend it.

I am in the same boat with dead batteries and no ability to buy more from the website because they are out of stock. I’ve contacted Firefly and have been told batteries will eventually be back in stock so don’t lose hope.

I am also confident that they will address the battery issue by making a higher mAh battery like they did with the FF2 or a firmware update that makes the FF more efficient.

Can't blame people from being put off though. Fingers crossed.

I guess things wouldn't be so bad if there was a bit more communication but I guess that's their angle. We'll find out soon enough.

Ahh weekend. Happy vaping all!

The VAS is not strong with this one...

I gotta agree. Mostly because I bought the ff2 back when it was first released, and it was expensive. Mine is still working well provided I have a working battery. If they offered some sort of upgrade program maybe, but there are other vapes I have interest in more than a second somewhat improved ff2.
