Is the firefly 2 plus a buy under 100€?
I am a microdoser.
Thx
You're better grabbing one of the alternatives we've mentioned here instead now honestly

how far back on this thread should I look? Seriously, I don't want to take time to read all the recommendations.
I still have a FF2 revamped to a plus. Still have two good batteries, a new mouthpiece, and I've learned how to use it. It still looks more Portable and available for microdosing than any of the new ones I've seen so far. Too bad they went out of business. BTW - I'd like to know if there is more to the story why they went out of business? Even without support I think #$100 is a steal for this vape. It's not perfect, but what is?
Yeah, I appreciate the reply. Probably good advice to get something else. But I've been looking at what's available for @ the same price and none of them except maybe $250 - $300 vapes seem to have the versatility and on demand action that was achieved by the FF2+. But it's like the only one I've ever had so I'm not that experienced.Shouldn't be that far back skimming backwards, thread has been pretty quiet... Easiest ones in my mind would be tinymight and tafee bowle though for readily available different style... Subjectively better?
But if you like what you're using with it and it's serving you well then there isn't a problem? Might as well get back ups if you feel that confident in it, I'm just not sure it's something I would recommend for someone new at this point (and I much prefer the other options in many ways personally)
If I go to use the blue tooth with the phone app and it's been sitting for longer than a couple of minutes, I have to press the button on the vape in order to connect. That tells me the blue tooth has probably shut itself off.. Don't leave the batt in the ff2 for extended periods off of the charge doc because the blue tooth is always on, it will kill a battery. For long term storage take the battery out of the unit.
feels, i love my ff2+, it has great flavour and hits with the complete entourage effect, but it is very high maintenance, I got the external charger and extra battery and it still works perfectly, I use it from time to time for taste tests on freshly cured herb.Yeah, I appreciate the reply. The FF2+ has it's + and - for sure. But I like the long-lasting li ion battery; the fast on demand warm up time. It fits in my pocket. I know how to open it up and clean it. Very tedious but I've done it twice. Concentrate gets down in below the screen too easily but it does seem to burn off. The small size of it makes it easy to cary discreetly. I have alcohol pads around the house for other reasons so those help with the cleaning. I've learned how to best pack the bowl with herb for better performance. The one I've had for several years though is anything but pristine inside from some hash oil I tried to use in it. Now with the cracks in the vapor path I should get something else if I'm going to keep vaping.
Frequent stirring is a con for the FF vape. It's hard to stir without knocking some material out of the bowl and onto the floor or whatever. The mouthpiece gets clogged up frequently and the draw is pretty hard. I have a difficult time using the concentrate pads. They don't seem to fit tight in the bowl, after a few uses and it's hard to tell when it's time to put in more material. Consequently I end up overdoing it and end up with a mess. But, I think that all those cons that I mentioned are probably not a lot better with other portable vapes. Am I wrong?
My FF somehow got cracked on the vapor path but it still works.
I've got three batteries. One of them is falling apart - at least it looks that way. Just the outer cover falls off revealing the inside of the battery. Probably still usable but I use the other two. When I did the upgrade to FF2+ I was having issues with the batteries. Firefly cust service back then wanted the serial numbers off of the batteries because, as I recall, they said they had a bad batch of them. When I got the vape back they included one new battery.I got four in rotation ....just got two put up....
But, I think that all those cons that I mentioned are probably not a lot better with other portable vapes. Am I wrong?
As a microdoser I find Dynavap is good, specially when paired withan IH as the Wand. You're better grabbing one of the alternatives we've mentioned here instead now honestly

Different machines, completely different approach.I wouldn't say that is anything like the firefly though? Not the same type of heating or anything at all use-wise is similar??
How do you keep your batteries healthy. I've been rotating my three but haven't been religious about it. One of the three came apart when I took it out of the vape so I'm reluctant to put that on the charger. I often leave my FF2+ on the charger for days; even weeks. Is it bad to do this in your opinion? Or would it be smart to just take them off of charging once they're 100%? What I've been doing for years seems to be working, They last for several sessions still.dynas/wand are my daily drivers, but the firefly I keep it around just for the unique ritual/change of pace that ff2 has, along with super clean flavor!
Not worth selling off at this point with used selling for 30-50$, but for that price it's a fun distraction in the rotation for non-butane guys like me.
trying to keep the extra batteries healthy so it should last me many years on minimal use.
This is generally a bad idea that will degrade your batteries. I can't speak for the Firefly specifically but most cheap built-in chargers do not turn off when they reach full charge. This semi-continuous trickle of charging is bad for the cell and reduces capacity over time. You should charge for long enough, and not longer (at least not a lot longer). How do you keep your batteries healthy. I've been rotating my three but haven't been religious about it.
