FC Help me pick the best vape for me

I ONLY WANT SUGGESTIONS ON THESE 2 OR SOMETHING IN THAT PRICE RANGE

So, I'm looking for a portable vaporizer. I'm thinking of waiting for the Grasshopper, but I'm just on the waitlist. I'm also looking at the Pax. Money is a big factor for me, but I can choose the Pax because I see plenty on local craigslist for ~$100 new. Is the Grasshopper thought to go up in price after launch?
I like that Grasshopper is basically the first actual vape pen for flower. But, Its not a necessity for the vape to be that small. I want portable, but I mostly vape in my house. I want discreet but doesnt have to be that tiny.
I usually session with another person so the size of the Pax trench is more ideal than the Grasshoppers.

It's become more about hit quality than discreetness. So if the Pax is hypothesized to be a better hitter than the Grasshopper, I'd choose the Pax.

Also, Ive seen counterfeit Pax online and I've heard they have gotten better at counterfeiting. Is there any clear signs of fake Pax's still? I dont want to get scammed on a fake from craigslist.

No one can give you any advise on the GH because it doesnt exist yet. Maybe itll be the best thing since Jesus turned fish into sliced bread... maybe it'll be a really expensive paper weight. Regardless, you wont know the truth until its release, and thus you cant compare it to a Pax or anything else.

Also, the Pax retails for $250. If you are buying one from CL @ $100, I can promise you its either a scam, its a fake Pax, or its stolen.

I can tell you that the solo is a great portable and you should really consider it. Go to planet vape and click promotions. I think they have it for 160? Consider that the solo is compatible with a bong. And consider that most experienced vaporists like vapebonging. Choose the solo and get a pvhe gong.

Saaweet just picked me up a Pax for a hundo! Got to haul ass down to Florida to pick it up though. Good old Craigslist, you can get killer deals if you can find em, that's the tricky part.Surprised the seller was up so late. He is happy to let it go so cheap, needs money quick n all. Man, i really just don't want a fake even though it's pretty cheap.
I'm trying to figure out exactly what the signs of a fake are (except the price ugh) but theyve been changing so much!

Well there are tough fakes to spot, which sucks! But there are obvious ones too. Such as a circle that lights up instead of the X. Stick around and peruse this massive collection of data here and you might change your mind again and again. I know I have and will again...

I think I'm leaning toward this one being fake.
The finish looks streaky with vertical lines like other fakes.
The real ones look smooth with no lines.
Also, the screw looks wider than the original.

Honestly, I just want it to be portable.
I don't really go around and smoke alot, but I definitely want to option to easily bring it to a friends place.

And no I dont own a vape, I've actually never vaped. Completely combusted. ugh

I would recommend the Lotus, I can't wait to get mine and really loved my vapor genie coil when I switched over! Or like @cawshook recommended the solo,is a great choice too. I honestly would choose between those two, and as you will see more and more people will chime in along this line.

Hey Derek… Welcome to the forum! I am all about portability as well! Had a log vape (plug-in) for some time but I felt I was stranded! I just need to pick up my vape and vape anywhere, anytime.

After 3 years in searching I have gotten myself a Lotus and sold everything else (glass is going as well… Check my sig)! I am also picking a Firefly for very special occasions but it will never replace the Lotus… It is the vaporizer that ended my VAS… The one vape to rule them all! At least until @Max Jitter comes out with a solar +/or hot coal version and Lotus becomes the ultimate perma-vaporizer ever!

Derek, I hope you are aware about the differences between conduction vaporizers and convection ones, right? GH, Lotus, Firefly are considered convection vapes while the PAX is a conduction one...

I do see ebay Solos for ~130. Is it a problem getting ebay Solos like it is for Pax's? (counterfeits, loss of warranty, etc)

....I told myself I wouldnt let you guys sway me to a different device. lol But If i did it would be a Solo.

The little party face next t the Solo suggests I have found it's best use to be when sharing with friends and used through a Vapor Lung preferably…
I really couldn't vape with the Solo after getting the Lotus... It was just an overall inferior experience. Contrary to it's name, the Solo is best for parties due to the simplicity of use and the nice pairing with VL's. When vaping alone or with one partner the Lotus or Firefly excels cause of the vapor quality.

go and check the auctions on ebay. should say authorized reseller. if you're worried email the auction link you want to Arizer and ask them if its really legit. you wont have counterfeit problems like you would with paxes. go check out the solo thread here lots of info.

e:not a firefly fan but never have had the chance to use a lotus yet. been wanting to but isnt that lighter powered? have you used yours yet or is it on the way

Yeap, it is! Some of it's major pros are the results of the flame!

There are also times when a power plug is nowhere near or there is a black out or you just find yourself forgetting to charge… So many scenarios…. After so many battery vapes I have found the use of a lighter to be liberating to say the least!

either way, i still think the op should consider a solo, you just cant go wrong with it imo and i have used it so i can speak to it

Solo is outdated… Firefly is the new kid in town! But for the price and if you also need your portable to be silent, to work against a wind and be able to use it in public without raising an eye then the Solo is a no-brainer… Although I would get a Firefly instead… It has heat-on-demand! Solo doesn't. Game Over for me!
