Its a troll job from the vendor - ITS NOT A LEGIT QUESTION REGARDING A VAPE. If it MUST live, at least have the decency to put it in the Vaporizer section.

I moved it to Ask FC out of respect for the vape models thread. The OP was phrased as a question to the community, so it goes here. Now, if the manufacturer chooses to show up here and take his lumps like Todd did with the WDZ, then it can go back to the vape models thread with an appropriate title. Unless that happens, it will stay here and die.

I don't care how many PD knockoffs come to fruition; they all deserve their own thread if they make it through the fire. This one hasn't yet proved itself. We'll see if ChronicVapeShop chooses to go that route.

Electrician...I take offense at your last post. You continue to try to stir up things suggesting the administration here (of which I am a part) is biased toward the PD. That is not the case, and I will put an end to the accusations. I don't care how many brilliant duct tape modifications to your Extreme you share about here, I will not allow you to be divisive on this forum. Continue on that road and you'll be gone for good.

IMO, let Joe "the rip off artist" R. sell as many units as he wants, and when he makes enough that it is worthwhile to sue him for trademark infringement (you know how much the parts cost and how much he is selling them for) cash in.

Glad you got your money back! The PD is a great vaporizer, so far there are two known ripoffs of the PD - the "happy days" and the "woodeze' - doesn't even matter to me if these vapes work OK or not, it's just bad energy.

Like I said before, there's a major difference between stealing and evolving - a great example is the most obvious one - the Eterra.
I think in the case of the MZ/PD - they're both legit offshoots, reconstructions, and evolutions of the Eterra.
There's no basis for comparison here.

This isnt about 'copying a design' - this is about purposely misleading people with an ALREADY WELL RESPECTED NAME to promote your own warez. Sure others have modeled their vapes around the PD/MZ/AZ but they at least had the decency to not try to use the trademarked name to draw attention to it.
That is the shameless part of this clown.

I've been following this thread. My question is this. So what makes this guy ANY different then the other 2 PD knockoffs? Yea his guerrilla sales tactics in the beginning were horrible and downright trickery, but he's done the same thing right. Took the PD and made some changes now he wants to sell them.

I at one time when I first joined FC thought the PD was going to be my vape of choice. Then I found out about the wait time. Who in this day and age has a wait time for anything????? Screw that, they just lost my business. I know that sounds childish but come on, no one wants to wait for anything these days.

So if someone is able to get their asses in gear and pump these things out so that more people can enjoy and switch to vaping over smoking then I say more power to them! The more the world learns about vaping the less of a fight they'll put up for legalization.

If that were true, there wouldn't be a wait list.

When people buy the PD, they are not just buying a piece of wood and a resistor. They are buying into the whole concept of old world manufacturing done by a husband and wife team who are totally committed into making the best vape that they know how to make and will do so while using the safest materials and methods available. You are not only buying a PD, but also entering into the PD family for that's how the Tom and Pammy relate to those who purchase their products. Now some may not have any desire for this kind of relationship. All they want is a vape and could care less about these things, and for those, a PD is not for them, but for those that value the things I mentioned above, they will wait months and do so.........willingly.

He was and as far as I know he/she represents it in ad form "as a Purple Days" This for the vape, which now, as it was different before, he has written "description only" that it is a "Better Days." While in Bold lettering above the pic it says "Purple Days."

Its fine for him to make the product but not to use the purple days name. He is not doing the same thing as others. In fact, I have spoken positively on others endeavors of this but using the purple days name is improper as it not only potentially misleads the buyer but it also gives the maker a potential unfair advantage over similar competitors of the Purple Days by making it appear that the "Better Days" is somehow associated with Purple Days. Considering we know nothing of the insides or quality of the materials used in its construction this is very misleading and calculated. He/she wont want to do remove the wording because they would lose the advantages I have stated. He/she is stealing recognition and playing a switch game on the customer. Once they gain a foothold they will begin talk of being superior and will turn on the Purple Days who laurels they are currently stealing. This is actually rather common but he went over board and crossed the line in his aggressive marketing of the name purple days for which he was enriched.

I also would consider this. "If" someone is willing to go such lengths to steal like he/she has how much faith should you have in the product? What other shortcuts have been taken and may take as material and other prices/costs fluctuate. I can only surmise as I do not have this product in front of me but I would not consider it due to a lack of trust in the company. They are not acting honorably. If that is not important to you, buy away.

As far as I am concerned simply remove Purple Days from title, description and/or in any manner stop using the Purple Days product and I am fine with the product but it would take time of quality service and product manufacturing to remove my lack of trust in the company but that is my view and my reason. Take from that what you will.

I find the MFLB much in the same category as the PD. It's built buy a small company right? Aren't they only a few employees at most? They are able to keep up with demand.... I just think the world would be a better place if we all vaped and quit smoking.

No need to apologize for it's the very reason that there are so many great vapes on the market to choose from and they each provide certain things that appeal to certain people. Not every vape is for everyone, including the Purple Days.

Be that as it may, the integrity of this guy on Ebay is in question, and as such, in my opinion, so is his product.

I hate the fact that Ebay lets companies advertise other companies products name in the topic. For example; lets just say you search for a vapezilla, you instead get a bunch of results with other companies saying "just like Vapezilla", that is just an example, it happens with everything it seems.

I don't think anything is wrong with creating your own log style vape as long it is advertised as what it is.

NOT A PURPLEDAYS.

This is completely misleading to the consumer(really it is outright lying)

It is not only wrong it is ILLEGAL This man needs to be prosecuted for trademark infringement
