Now that I think about it, I like it better with no wood or anything else on the front or sides. All in plain color (black) and nothing other than black on the sides.

The Mighty is a plastic POS, fins fall off if you look at it sideways and the screen keeps dying, I just got another replacement and that screen is almost unreadable.
I like carbon fiber as long as it is carbon fiber as it is a good insulator, not like the fake shit, wood is OK too, I said linoleum(fake wood) as my XMax Ace has it, I run that at 255c back to back on rosin to the point where the metal parts will burn but the good old commercial lino is just nice and warm.

I like wood on its own, not on top of a plastic housing. Same for carbon fiber, unless any of that has a purpose and is functional to the vaporizer.

So just to clear up a couple of things.
Elium has moved to a metal housing. Most likely Kirksite with a outer coating to help keep things cool. The wood accents will be real wood and the carbon fiber ones real carbon fiber. The accents are there for looks, I believe vaporizers can be both functional (i.e. why we are using surgical grade stainless for heater and glass inserts for the oven and even including a glass waterpipe with the kit) as well as beautiful which is why we are spending some time to finalize the outer look and feel of the device. We are making what we believe will be a premium product and are not focused solely on delivering something that functions and delivers maximum profits.
I do not think the general public agrees that function is the only thing that matters. However, there is room for a plain device without the accents for those that want it and I am discussing it with my team.

I can stand a unit with only functionnality in mind although when it's paired with a great design, it's awesome!
Whoaw! That's a nice Mighty housing, I have a functionnal Mighty in bad shape (and an Alternate) I would like to "re-build", you gave me some ideas... thank you and sorry for derail!

So how are things going...? I know it might be a critical time, but I was wondering if there were any updates with what's going on, as I am one of the first 50, and there's been no more posts since Jan. 2nd...? I understand what the industry is facing soon. Is that why there's been no updates since then...?
We are fundraising currently. There are no guarantees on when the round will close but I will make an update once I have one. We do have our 3 new prototypes in and are testing the waterpipe as well as the new housing design. Next we will order a batch of prototypes which will utilize the internal chassis and unibody design which will make production assembly easier. Fundraising is the biggest thing that is consuming my time as well as the most important factor on when we will launch.

We are also working on a charging stand that will have an external battery pack in it to improve on the go battery life as much as we can. Pictured here is the new dry herb carb cap. This will allow you to stir the herbs in the oven without opening the chamber. We also got the prototypes in for the glass and are testing those out.
I haven't had much time to make videos or posts, and for that I apologize. Once we close this raise I will be able to focus my efforts on getting the devices ordered for launch and start making more regular updates again. I appreciate all of you and can't wait to launch this thing!!
As most of you already know the updated definition of ENDS within the PACT Act is doing great harm to vaporizer companies whose main source of customers is through e-commerce. This is something we as a company thought would be fairly easy to solve but after speaking with legal departments for various shipping partners (UPS, FEDEX, USPS and DHL) it seems to prevent us from being able to operate an e-commerce site and ship product to customers. We are working with our legal team to find a solution that fits within the law but the penalties are very stiff if violated. I have been updating everyone who is in the shipping ban thread on our progress and will continue to do so.
Sucks to hear that! What if you launch in Europe and Canada first?
We are looking at Canada and Mexico right now. EU will come with time.

Why don't you do what other intelligent companies are doing, who are going full steam ahead with their companies, knowing that this is supposed to be focused on nicotine e-cig vapes, and have just stopped using the word "vaporizer", such as Dynavap (along with some others who are using their same term) who are now referring to them as "TED's" (Thermal Extraction Devices)... Or there's 7th Floor/Elev8 who are now referring to them as "Vehicles"... Or Divine Tribe who are calling them "Exothermic Flora Devices" and "Volatile Terpene Distributors" for concentrate devices... And there's many others. Basically, there's nothing they can do about them legally, because none of these devices contain any substances at all whatsoever in the first place, unlike nicotine e-cig vapes that these laws were created for. Now, because they made the law confusing and vague in some parts, tons of people misinterpreted what it's actually supposed to affect and be pointed towards... That's why these companies just simply have changed the name and are confident that they can continue, unphased by this ridiculous "vape mail ban", because there's nothing anybody can do about it, because like I said, these are just devices with no substances in them, which was the focus of these laws in the first place. What are your thoughts on just doing a simple name change like these smart companies, and just avoid calling them vaporizers from the start, since you have the advantage of not even having your company truly launch their products yet...??

Here's a little tease that what I said is correct, getting worked out hopefully, and even heard that the government was postponing it as well due to the confusion of what it's supposed to affect.... So it's looking brighter and brighter.....

We are still struggling with our fundraising round. We have decided that we may do a smaller, limited release of our device. We are weighing our options for what the total number of units will be but we are thinking it will be between 250-500 units, we will switch to a wooden housing and make it a special release. Each device will be numbered and have a unique look to it. If this limited release is successful it will give us the traction we need to get the funding for a full release with the metal housing. I wanted to see if this is something the community would be interested in? I want to keep the Elium project going and have put my life into it for almost 5 years and would just really hate to see the project die because we can't raise enough funds for a full release.
