Good morning you all! Wow been an exciting last few days round my way, my ll year old got several awards as well, he got highest average for math and reading. My oldest got proficient for math and language. Wednesday was their last day so now its on, its summer time!!! Its crazy here, we had full intentions of going fishing thursday but in comes a cold front that dropped the temp to like 60 with slight rain and drizzle so fishing was out so we just hung out. All was good, I cooked a big dinner and they ate really well, was cleaning up after all putting dishes away when in comes my 11 year old holding his chin with tears in his eyes, his brothers werent far behind him balling and upset. He took his hand away from his chin I got a good look and he had a small gash under his bottom lip, I may have over reacted somewhat, I am not one to handle blood and such situations well when it comes to people and especially not when it comes to my kids. I knew this was more than a little cut for a bandaid so I snatched him up and off to the ER we went. I calmed down as did he on the way and all he kept asking was dad do you think they are going to give me a shot???? I was dodging the question as best I could. I hated to tell him that yes you most certainly will. We got to the ER they gave him a look over, got a CT to make sure he hadnt broken his nose, then they gave him that dreaded shot to numb the cut, he nutted up and got the numbing with a dozen or so stitches. We got back home about 9pm and off to bed we all went. He and his brother had been playing in the bedroom, they have these rocking games chairs for playing the PS, his younger brother was on it and he was on it as well somehow and when his brother got off in a hurry it rocked upward and got him from the chin up. He slept all night and woke up the next morning with a fat fat lip. These were not his first set of stitches and am pretty sure wont be his last. We have much to do this summer with plans for fishing and camping as well as what ever else they wanna do. Have to be back in Bham June 4th. and am taking the boys with me, its just a follow up to see how I am healing is all. I have been doing some googling bout Bham and the happenings for kids there. I gotta tell ya there isnt much to do in our state as far as cool museums and such. Bham has much much to do, all kinds of stuff, and on the first thursday of each month they have this family night out in the city, we are going to the Zoo after the dr that day and we are debating on whether to go to the aviation or motorsports museums which will be open for free this day and will have events geared to kids and families that evening. We have been taking virtual tours and of each, both are really neat just letting them think about which its going to be. I am really excited as they are as well, its going to be our own little minication is what we call it!
@Reflections My boys, my boys, how they warm my heart! Their mom said my youngest came to her the other night before prayers and told her they had to pray for BB King, he had seen that he had past and felt they should, he is so caring and thoughtful. He brings so many smiles to my face! I am getting better, just feel all this comes with age I suppose. I gotta couple few customs to get done ASAP and such then some other pending priorities, should be able to start a new list in a couple weeks or so if thats cool. Thanks for stopping by, I hope all is well for you also!
