I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
I'm in love. Please add me to the order list for the Lily stem. And have a great time with the boys and the adorable Major.
Hi Ed,
Please add me also. Looks the nuts.
I'm in love. Please add me to the order list for the Lily stem. And have a great time with the boys and the adorable Major.
I sent payment for that today! I had a purpleheart one made with a brass crz tip, but I'm looking toward the ss tip.I was in the same situation but the UD SS tip goes inside the wood vs eds bushing which goes on the outside causing the wood to break. If u have a UnderDog I HIGHLY suggest getting a SS tip WonG.
Sometimes I look at these and think to myself "that's wood?" And it blows my mind, absolutely stunning collection!
I'd also like to add that our beloved Buckeye Burls can also have voids in them that have been known to house rattle snakes & other small critters. I do have an order in for 5 big beautiful log blanks due in a few weeks, and also have many more stem/wong blanks for Ed's masterworks (100% guaranteed of course if a problem with a void occurs).Hello and good morning, all is well my way, could be drier but hey it is what it is so we do the best we can! The day yesterday started out a wet one and just rained and rained all day long and is still raining even now. We still dressed for the parade and had our green on except for my oldest, he for some reason didnt have a green shirt, hmmm guess we could have found something else but when I told him you better watch out all those girls are gonna be pinching your butt he got this little grin on his face and said itll be ok dad! He is almost 14 so think I know what he was thinking! We had to drive about an hour to get there, the closer we got the more it rained, til I was like boys maybe the parade just isnt a great idea today. Two of the boys had had a cold earlier in the week and I really didnt want them to be out in the cold wet rain standing for a couple hours. I had looked at what was going on around the city for kids and had a backup plan for just in case. The Natural science museum had a new dinosaur exhibit and who doesnt like looking at alligators! So off to the museum we went, we checked out all the great stuff, walked around for a couple hours, and most importantly stayed dry! Then we were off to red lobster, my 11 year old has been wanting to try lobster for a while and my youngest loves the super rich chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream. Had a great late lunch drove home, got a payperview and called it a night! What a day we had and what a great way to spend it, not a cross word was said, not a punch thrown, my boys were great and I am blessed!
@Reflections Hello and good morning, yes yes yes, you are right but oh so many people are upset and emailing me everyday, why are your dugouts out of stock, why havent you made any yet, pls start back making dugouts! I really hate it, I dont have enough time to make everything and it sucks. I started my biz making dugouts and were for such a long time the bread and butter of the biz but take a little more time to make with all the steps of production and will always be a major tool in alot of peoples pockets. Maybe one day ill get a week or two of down time and get some made, I do have a couple trays somewhat put together about half way done. Major is freaking loving it, he has been all over lately, the rain hasnt slowed him down a bit. He seems just as happy if its wet and dreary, guess this hot southern weather and that thick curly coat can make you happy for these kinda days. Thanks for stopping by!
@beach bum I too have so been enjoying the pics, thanks! Nah Major isnt fetching beers yet but he is fetching, not quite as hard core and determined as my black lab I had. He has a way about him that is kinda like cool and calm not in so much of a hurry and just happy go lucky. I hope all is well and wish yall the best!
@KidFated. Thats a beautiful set you have there my man, really like how the stem has a brown streak in it as does the vape, looks like the two are a perfect fit! I hope you are enjoying them and thank you for posting the pic! Aint it a trip, thats wood, say what???
@Philreal187 Wow those pieces look stunning! I am really glad you are happy and I thank you for the work! Thats the thing with Buckeye I have learned after a few years of buying it and working it, that its so hard to know whats within the blank itself. @Snappo has a great eye for wood a great eye, sometimes these voids or inclusions work well for some applications and others not so well. I once bought a slab of BE that was 40" across x 2" thick, my dealer told me that if I was lucky enough to get 30% of the slab to work then I had done good. He told me that alot of the burls that come from BE come from below the ground in the stump and root of the tree and dont be surprised if I hit pockets of dirt, sand, or even rocks. Not sure if I got 30% or not but I learned a valuable lesson. I was just happy I could do what I did. Thanks for posting up bro!
@Melting Pot Good morning my man, hope your weekend went better than the week and you are sitting at home reading this! You hit the nail on the head, treasures for sure. Mother Nature is capable of anything. The longer piece is a trip, the wild mix of colors is out of sight! You are still on my mind and in my heart, I wish you better days, I do!
@NickDlow @Philreal187 pieces came from the same slab I got yours from!
Well I am off to the shop for a couple hours before the boys wake up and start looking for something to eat! Hope you all have a great day and wish you all the best!
