Got my beta stem today,

Here is everything that came with it. Stem three screens wooden rod for screen replacement, and a edtnt.com card. I think the lenghth is great. Here it is standing next to the Nano for size comp.

Logo looks awesome, I really like how it turned out! Here's a pic logo out on my Nano.

Other side of stem, these pics don't do it justice. It is a awesome! I love it @Ed's TnT . You can feel the work that went into this piece as soon as you hold it. Silky smooth finish. Smooth transition from wood to metal. It is well made.

Im sure loving my UD stem, thinking about getting a lighter wood next time, i missed out on that logo by like two weeks!!

Glad you dig the branding, as I said I will be branding everything that leaves the shop if it has enough space to do so, shoulda been doing this long ago. Thanks for posting the pics, you are right, its really hard to capture the personality of it. I really want you to give it hell, put it through its paces and beat the shit of it! My main concern is whether or not it will come apart due to the heat. I feel good about it and hoping it won't, I want you to be tough on it! Thanks for your cooperation and I look forward to your findings!

Good morning, started my day at midnight last night, gave it hell til now, got a few custom orders knocked out! Now I can get back to working on one of my distributors order. I am about halfway done with it and hope to be finished in another couple weeks. Then I have another big MF order waiting for me to get to it. Its crazy round here. That Ascent stem set should be at Davinci today or tomorrow, hoping to hear good things from them. I am so excited to get these made and available for to everyone. I have a couple sets going out for special requests first of the week and am anxious to hear what they think and how they perform for them. Really hoping the beta testing with the Nano stem goes well. I have so much working lately its almost overwhelming! Hang in there with me I am trying to get everything done one piece at a time.

I wanted to share with you all what I have just made last night. All three pieces are made from African Blackwood, a super short 2" Solo wong with the normal 14mm tapered mouthpiece, a 14mm female/female adapter, and a new spin on a Solo wong, it has an 18mm tapered mouthpiece. Took me a little longer to make being my first one, it turned out really well.

Really like how these two pieces match. The fit is nice and tight and will outlast any glass.

Yo Ed i start a new job Monday so i might have two customs for you.. Would it be possible to make a 14mm Gong like tha UD stems? But without screen, id be using it for a mouthpiece. AND another UD stem, haven't picked a species yet, let me know about that WonG mouthpiece!

@KidFated. You bet I could do ya a UD wong, it would have the tip though and would still come with the screened insert and sleeve, which you can remove and keep, you may find that you need an extra one for your purpleheart stem. Pick ya a species for the two and lets talk more about it!

Yeah, I've been recently volunteering hours at a local glass/head shop in hopes to eventually get to learn to blow glass, as they have that on site too (or will once it's all set up). So that has ruffled my routine a bit. I hope these guys are gonna make good on their end since I am not getting paid. Glad you are keeping busy.

Good afternoon, I just couldnt help myself, I had to try and make a 14mm male/male adapter! Took a little time between jobs and spun this little piece. Its made from Cocobolo, 2 3/4" in length and a little over 3/4" OD. Doing different stuff like these adapters breaks the monotony of turning all the stems. Hope you all like this piece!

Was hoping that I woulda heard something back from @1_gr8_underdog by now about how the testing was going with the Nano stem, hmmm getting anxious and not feeling good about his delay in reporting, I sure dont wanna hear bad news!

I'm looking forward to trying out the Granadillo stem for my Solo and the Ascent stem that will be getting from Ed. I should be getting the Ascent stem in a week or so. Not sure about the Granadillo actually I ordered from Puffitup when I ordered my Solo. Hopefully I will get that one soon. I don't mind waiting.
I'm glad business is going good for such a nice and talented FCer.

I am dying to try out my new Solo adapter (the 18mm one on the right). I have my new Solo, my cranberry extract, my bubbler, and.....no adapter yet. But I know Ed is extremely busy with the workload he has (good for him). I just gotta be patient a little longer.

Incredible new adapters!!! Don't forget to 'brand' all your new stems and adapters. I have some beautiful amboyna burl blanks coming next week from Danny @ Isle Woods, and will be sending some to you Ed for some more custom pieces to add to my treasured Ed's stem collection!!!

This is the first 18mm piece I have ever done, dont have a 18mm female to exact it with but measured it up and down the taper with my mic set at mm so it should be spot on. Yours will ship first thing Monday also.

I spun these Launch Box Stems a few weeks back, these were hell to turn, the wood just couldnt handle the pressure of turning on the lathe, outa dozen or so, I was only able to make 4. These are truly one of a kind pieces of Bog Oak, 5460 years old. Havent posted them to my site yet, if anyone is interested pls let me know.

You can kinda see my brand in the larger outer wood stem, really digging the way these brands look on these pieces. I should have my ass kicked for not doing it long ago!

@Snappo pls forgive me bro, I forgot to address you! I will never forget the brand from here on out! I am glad you got some wood from Danny, he has the finest pieces of all the species I have seen. Just wait til you get his pieces, they are clean cut and true, sealed and ready to work. You done good getting some from him. I cant wait to see what all you have made from them. Hell yeah send some y way, Ill turn ya some beauties! Thanks for letting me do some work for ya!

Ed - Super glad you're using my 'branding' suggestion - it looks OUTSTANDING!!!

Here's what I got so far (see below), but plan on ordering another blank to make an E-Nano ...this one is for an exotic HI I'm having made. The narrower blanks are for you to make me some Solo & E-Nano adapters and stems (3/4 x 3/4 x 5):

@Snappo those are some mighty fine pieces you got your hands on bro, you done good! I like to have em a tad larger for Solo stems, just have to take my time is all. They will turn Nano stems no problem! I look forward to working them for ya. Just let me know the specifics when youre ready! I wish you woulda mentioned the branding idea way back, as I said I have had the branding iron for a couple of years or so. Had intended on branding LB stems when I first started making them, but they are so small and delicate it just wasnt possible.

I assume the glass on the bottom is still used and then it's wood for the top stem? What is that small stem for?

Do you need them to be kiln dried first, or are they fine as they are? What size do you like to start with for Solo stems and the 18mm shortie Wong?
