Hello and good morning everyone, been busy with all the wood and getting stuff squared away for the getaway with the wife tomorrow night. It sucks there will be no evening dinner on a river boat cruise on thursday nights! Say what??? Yeah was kinda let down but thats ok, I got it all scheduled to see the art exhibit when we get there, go to a really nice restaurant downtown for dinner, carriage ride picks us up there for a 1 hour historic tour where it will end on Beale st. so we can watch some live music and have a few drinks before calling it a night! Should be a winner, I know I will all ready be one for having the most wonderful woman by my side!
@Reflections @Caligula &
@RUDE BOY I am digging the brass ferrule on the tamper end of the tool, it seems to really finish the piece in my eyes. Its really no more work to add the brass to the tamper either since I am already doing so to the other end of it. Its all up to ya'll or you Reflections, which would you rather have on the end of your tool? Its all I have left to make for you and hope to get it done by the end of the weekend so I can ship ya Monday. Oh and Reflections yours will also be getting the titanium blade instead of the SS now.
@Caligula I gotta tell ya, I was surprised just how lite that titanium is. I had held a sweet titanium Taurus pistol once that was badass and very lite weight but had forgotten just how lite. It sharpens very nicely but I was also surprised how it doesnt polish like SS. It has more of a grey tone to it which even after I hot it with 800 grit sand paper it was nothing more than soft and smooth so to speak not bright and shiny at all. No sweat though it is grade 2.
@FlyingLow Thanks for stopping by and posting the pics bro! I hope you had a good time while away for those days. Glad you made it back safely! The pics look great and I dig the look of that piece, really glad youre happy with it! I really like how I am finishing the pin now on the outside of the bushing, its so flush, you have to pay attention on some of them to even notice it has a pin from the outside. Did you get any butter with it? That will really give it a shine after some use. Wipe a little on and wipe it off for a lustrous sheen. Hmm dont know about cleaning the screen without removing the clip, it isnt really that hard to remove the clip anyhow. All you need is something thin and pointed yet strong enough to apply pressure while lifting it up to dislodge it. Swap out the screen, re seat the clip and your good to go. Thanks again for posting the pics, I love looking at them as do everyone else I am sure.
@P666R My man, sorry for the delay in getting to you, as I said above its been go go go round here. Its a freaking heat wave down here, not sure if you wanna come this far south, the humidity is miserable. They say its gonna feel like its 100+ here today. Gets awful hard to find a cool spot especially in the shade! Am gonna reply your PM shortly.
@Vicki Hope youre home and on the mend, hang in there and holla when you can girl!
