Ed's TnT Wooden Vapor Tubes & Vapor Stems

I have just ordered a solo wooden stem from vapefiend, I love the glass but I have gone through a few stems now. None of them have broke fully and you wouldn't even notice the tiny hairline crack, but it has a noticeable effect on the taste, especially after a few hits when the taste starts to die off any way. Looking forward to trying these, have only heard good things about them and it will make my mountain bike rides a bit less stressful worrying about broken glass

Hello and Happy Easter everyone! I hope all is well out there and you all are spending time with friends and family.

@jambandphan03 You bet it was a lot of love and alot of fun making those Ascent 14mm Stems, they will be on their way to France tomorrow morning! Thanks for the kind words!

@Sleepin in CA I feel ya on the rush thing bro, I aint one to just jump into anything either. I gotta sleep on it for a night or two before I make any decisions. Thats why its no rush in getting that stiff to me, gather up some dough and a little time and holla at me. You know I will get ya right, may take a little time on my end but you know nothing any good happens without little time and hard work!

@Reflections Thanks for the kind words, I am excited to get that turquoise in, am just gonna have to put work on the back burner for a day or so and get a few Nano Stems done, thatll be a fun day, getting outside the box!

@KidFated. Oh I got plenty on Nicaraguan Cocobolo, in fact I just bought $500 worth a couplea three weeks ago and already had a few hundred $'s worth before I ordered. My guy has the best I have ever worked, the time before the last time we spoke he mentioned it was gonna be going up in price so I couldnt not order some. I think he just told me that cause he knew I would buy more. You see it for yourself, the vibrant colors and contrasting tones, oh I dig it! I can do ya a piece fo sho! Just holla when your ready and give me a week or two to make it happen!

@Snappo Wow thats an amazing piece, @ACE OF VAPE he does some really great work! You have yourself a winner there! I read your post at the Nano thread, that thing is a heavy hitter, took you down for the count. I hope all is well this morning! I am anxious to get your stems done soon too, gonna take that day when I do something for @Reflections and work yours in too. Hang in there with me my man, and thanks for mentioning the changes to the website, it had been in need of freshening up for quite a while. A little touch here and there, get rid if this and that, bump this a bit and help from a great guy makes all the difference! Like a quick kick in the ass, I needed it!

@iowcatalyst Glad you got a piece from them, I hope you enjoy and pls let me know what you think of my work. Thanks for stopping by!

I have just added the Ascent stems to the website and made them available at my shopping cart for purchase. I have the Blackwood Stem Sets and the new Cocobolo Ascent 14mm Stems ready for purchase if anyone is interested. Heres some pics below.

I am really happy with the way these pieces turned out. They took alot more time and work due to their hardness, they arent like turning maple thats for damn sure! You gotta have a sharp tool and a steady hand. Its crazy though, the sharper my chisel the less I like working with it. It seems to be so sharp that it will catch and dig in the wood gouging it if our not extra careful. A freaking sharp chisel can be a really bad thing especially if your wearing flip flops or sandals like I tend to in the shop! Hey its all about comfort right, if I aint feeling good and comfortable there aint no point in turning, I turn on the stereo to XM radio got the AC running already and hit a fresh bowl! All is good then and the work can begin!

I gotta let yall in on something to, I havent really had much time to stop in the last few days and post, I got a heavy heart right now! My old man is not doing good at all, his 67 birthday is today, on 4/20 how bout that, he has been battling Parkinsons disease for several years and its getting the best of him now. We werent very close when I was coming up, he worked offshore and on river boats for all my life as a kid. He was in the top 5% diesel engineer mechanics in the Gulf of Mexico back in the 80's and early 90's making hella dough but gone all the time. He got in some trouble having an illegal grow and did a little time, since then things at work went down hill for him and we started to spend alot more time together cause now he was at home all the time. We got close and it really was good to find out what he was made of. My old man is as tough as they come, he didnt put up with BS, he would make you look him in the eye and when he told you something you can damn well better count on it. Thats one thing I learned from him, you look a man in his eye and be honest, tell the person you are looking at the truth and all will work out. He was right, you show respect, you get respect! Its just that simple, if you dont get it back, then let it be. My dad only has a few more days here on this Earth, his time here has been full of good and bad, our times have been some of my best! The smiles my boys put on his face will be something I will remember forever. The brownies he made for my boys, they still say "Nobody make better brownies than pawpaw!" No matter whats failing him, his heart is still beating hard! The nurse said she cant believe how strong his heart is. I know how strong he is, he's my dad! Pls if you will mention him in your prayers for us, may God be with him in this time and bring him home to glory! God bless him and us all!

Im glad you and your dad were able to get to know each other again. You will always have the wonderful memories. Your little guys were able to get to know him, that will be a cherished time for them too.

Ed,

I've had the good fortune to work remotely with you and have respect and affection for you.

Although they are just words, these have helped me when dealing with loss.
Peace Bro!

I really like the Cocobolo 14 mm stem for the Ascent, I plan on ordering the 14mm Blackwood Wong for the Solo too, but I want it in a 3 inch length, Ed said he could do that. I will just order both at the same time.

Ed's in much demand right now professional and personal, he can get to it when he has time.

I got my tnt wooden vapour tube for the solo yesterday and have been using throughout yesterday evening and today. The initial woody taste [ that I actually quite liked , almost like wood smoked weed whiskey type taste] has gone and I am very impressed by this stem. It looks great, there is no worry of it breaking and it vaporizes evenly. There is a slight increase in warm up time because of the metal but otherwise it's superb, thankyou ED

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Ed lost his father yesterday afternoon.
He mentioned his gratitude for the outpouring of FC and appreciates everyone's patience.

Let's keep sending our love and positive vibes to the wood carving maestro as he goes thru this terrible time.
