Hey everyone,
I wanted to reach out to you guys, since we are very close to reaching our next milestone : raising funds.
We are about a month away from having the cash we need to take our proof of concept from just that, to an actual manufacturable product.
Given this big step, I wanted to ask a simple question:
If we are going to develop this over the next year.. and make this product as good as we possibly can.. would you, as a customer, rather we crowdfund / launch pre-orders halfway through our product development, or launch at the end of our development?
If we launched our campaign halfway through, whether it be crowdfunding or pre-orders on our site, we will likely be showing you a product that will evolve and change before production. The advantage here is that we can gather input from our backers (you guys) and make any final improvements based on that input. It will likely take around 8-10 months for us to deliver the final product at that point.
Alternatively, if we waited until the product design / engineering was essentially finished and ready to be tooled for manufacturing, and then launched our campaign at that point, you would have a much clearer picture of the final product and would be waiting roughly 5-6 months to receive your product.
We have seen companies succeed with both ways, but the first option I outlined has seemed to be the riskiest.
We would love to hear your specific thoughts on this. We want to get this product in all of your hands as soon as possible, but want to do it in a way that won't upset our backers (you guys) or have you waiting forever for the product. Vapor infusion is truly unlike anything else I have experienced, and the proof of concept is a testament to that. We are excited for you all to be a part of this!!
Thanks again for keeping an eye on us, everyone. We hope to hear back!
All the best,
Hg
