Shit Snacks
Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
So since I've got one of the first earliest units ever to be sent out, I figured I'd just start a new thread for this one so its ready when they start shipping (or maybe they are already for sale on the website? I'll have to check) I'm sure eventually @Dreamwood will get a chance to post and introduce it here so then the mods can move that post to the front at least. But anyway this design is ofcourse based on the Triihouse Peace like how all the wood/glass direct torch convection vapes are based on Trii originals...
Anyway like the Peace, the Roasty Vaporizer is a simple conduction design using a torch and glass tube with wood mouthpiece body. They will come in a variety of shapes and sizes (S or L), while I've seen many different shaped customs in beautiful woods on Instagram (lot of tutorial videos there) along with caps or round bong connector versions. Mine is a very soft smooth wenge wood thin around the glass, so very compact and portable with the tube inside, but most are larger and still plenty small
In these you load the glass tube with herbs (or in this case I added a little mystery crumbly hash to the Sour OG) up until the glass pinch which is your screen (scooby snacks can be a risk so if you are concerned you could add a screen there or in the mouthpiece I am sure). You can load as much or as little as you want and pack it down, then wave the torch along the tube while spinning for several seconds to make some conduction vapor in a very simple form, just like the convection vapor the other vapes provide
In this photo it is freshly packed (tool is from MistVape btw, perfect for mine but production glass screens could be different, pokers good):
While this is after a few heating cycles, stirred and repacked (all inside the tube sideways):
Then after a few more cycles of that pattern, two or four, I am not quite sure bc of the last one:
On that last one I got a little more confident with the torch and heated a little longer and breathed in a little deeper. It kept puffing and puffing out vapor, definitely had a roasted taste but no combustion even after many cycles (makes sense since this was a decently large bowl, can do smaller and bigger size loads easily) I think technically it may be toasting herbs for vapor, but Roasty is a great name that suits it well
So I emptied it after that, but the bottom right half of the avb here was courser or hashy and still had some life left (added to a diff bowl):
So yeah this is a simple, surprisingly effective vape and I think it will make a lot of people happy, especially those who like to take their herb to dark dark black extraction (*cough cough* @paytonpenn). I am digging it as a sort of vapor joint esque experience, chill back for a good stony session semi-on demand style, pure taste with no other materials cept glass and wood, it is a nice way for convection snobs like me to appreciate full conduction again
