This is how i dab these days.The lightning pen by Divine tribe and SZ crossing.

It basically a tiny heated ceramic bucket, similar to the v5. It tastes way way better than the coil king, but also has more of a learning curve.

Thing is, its quite easy to make the tiny bucket overflow. At first i put the lightning pen in setting 2, held down the fire button for a long time and my rosin would go all over the place. Did not like it at all. Now i use the lowest setting, use less concentrate, and only use the firebutton in 3 seconds burts. It rocks.

It tastes just as good as the v5, but more portable. The tiny bucket is very easy to clean, a que tip is just the right size. The top has a buit in 14mm WPA. It is slightly thicker than the coil king and parts are not interchangable. The battery does not last as long on the ightning pen.

I am having loads of fun with this. It was only £50.

Glad you started this thread. It was time for this device to have its own place.

I am starting to learn the same tricks on pulsing. When I first tried it, I ran it on the session mode and it was way too hot with that short airpath. Once I realized the pulsing, it has become a killer vape. I also love the V5 heater and use it in my Core erig.

This little guy is a lot of fun. I tend to load very little so I haven't had a "boil over" yet. I am amazed by how many good hits you can get with a small load. I use a regular 14mm J hook and just flip it over so it comes off the LP like a saxophone.

I have been surprised and impressed with the hits from the Lightning Pen, it has earned a place living in my pocket for the last few weeks. I preload it whenever I leave the house for that easy access on the go, perfect for a quick hoot on my way in to whatever store or event. It’s quick and easy to swab up and then reload with a toothpick.

I haven’t tracked the battery usage yet but it lasts longer than I expected it to given the size, certainly more than enough for a day out for me (at least a dozen hits)

Some say that the hit is too hot, but I find that I like to hit it at max temp and a full length draw. It also works great with a hydrotube, wet or dry

2 tips I have for everyone; Turn the cap so the air inlet is facing away from you (I keep blocking the airflow with my fat lip), and pre-melt your dab for reduced splatter (obvious to some, maybe new to others).

I would love to see a stash jar that screws on to the bottom of the pen

I want this lightning pen heater setup that I can put on a mod with TC. I don't really want the pen as my Rim C is small enough and can swap batteries. Wonder what the increase in battery life and decrease in heat would be like? Could be mounted in the DTV5 housing hmm. I want to be able to load and clean without uncapping as well as a travel cap for lint but I can dream.

Yeah I think so but I heard a couple people say the center pin isn't making contact in their mod so I don't know for sure. Also saw a couple people say it worked on everything they own.

I mean just the coil with the two legs.,can be fitted on almost any dual post atty.

The two lead wires are very short, pre-clipped to just fit in the LP female socket.
As far as trying the the entire top section on a 510 mod/battery, the male thread on the top is 510, but very deep.
I tried it on a bunch of my ECig mods, and it was bottoming out the mods spring loaded 510 pin, I didn’t want to force it in and break or short out my mods. I was lucky to find some old odd 510 to Ego adapter that allowed me to connect it to aa mod, connection is a bit dicey, but I’m only using it when I want to do some burn off cleans, and not use the LP battery, as that 600mAh battery is not removable. I’ve found using the LP in its stock configuration works best. I have other DT heaters that use the larger Lightning Cups and are used on any 510 mods.

I have been using my LP with my Linx Blaze battery and loving how efficient the device is. I'm using the LP also when the Linx Blaze battery needs charging. Both batteries at the lowest setting, Using half a rice size dab. Cleans out easy with no waste.

The customs here is at the airport which is 25 km away from me. I avoid ordering from abroad like hell. Anyway i hope someone else stock it soon ,like LCV or VDNM .

Also I have read you need not more then half a rice grain… how much hits you get out of this half rice grain size dab and is the lp capable of producing clouds?

The “leads” that have been referenced in this thread are leads in the sense of the Wikipedia article I posted a link to. Nothing to do with the metal/element lead.

I too would like a LP in black. I just purchased it in silver, should arrive Saturday, but if it’s as good as I hope it is I’d gladly order another in black and give the silver one to my brother.

Hot tip:

Click your V5 'drip tip' (mouthpiece) into the top of your lightning pen.
It reduces the draw which is very necessary in my opinion.
Works great.

Would the Sai Poseidon bubbler fit the lightning pen? With the mouthpiece/metal cap off the LP is what I mean.
I realize the cap on and a silicone adapter on the cap would probably make it work.
I meant more “fixed” than that. Using orings to seal.
Maybe I’m way off because I haven’t owned one and I assume it’s a little too wide. It could also be too short I guess.
I like the side by side look of that Poseidon better than sticking a Hubble on top.
