Uhh no I'm not using bubble, heh. I got BHO here... I dunno but it seemed I wasn't getting good hits at lower wattages iirc... but I'm certainly willing to give it another go ! Awesome sauce. Peace.

So my thoughts on the 2.5 versus the 2.0 - retains most of the same issues (gaps between the skillet and body result in oil loss over the side, difficult to clean, not easily rebuildable), but that air intake on the side makes a huge difference versus the 2.0 -- definitely an upgrade. I don't have very good life expectancy on anything my iStick 50w powers, so we'll see how well this lasts. Sounds like with temp control will be significantly better, but since I don't have tc, I'll see how many times it fires on my iStick before it cracks into 2 pieces.

I f you have a good concept of pulsing it will work forever. how big are your sessions? i get leakiness when i pack too much. its pretty clean when you pack a session at a time . please keep the watts low, with skill you should not crack the donut ever.

Sweet. I'll keep wattage low -- had to crank the 2.0, but with the added air flow in this design, I didnt need to go as high voltage/wattage to get cloudier results. Really amped to see the 3.0 when it hits!

Hopefully I'll be nicer to this donut than I was to my DT 2.0 and my w9 1701 (v2). The DT 2.0 died incredibly fast, and I wasn't particularly nice to the 1701. I'll baby the 2.5 for a while and see what I think Thanks for taking care of your customers who tried the 2.0 by sending a 2.5 to try.

I also have an extra FC-2000 donut wick, but I didn't think it was all that and a bag of chips when I tried it in the 2.5 the other day. I'll give it another go and see if my opinion can be swayed.

What's the difference between the shallow and deep dish versions, functionally? Does the shallow version not fit a wick?

I decided to break out my V1 ceramic donuts and give them another try. I never could get satisfying results with the included batteries. Tried them on my Persei with a thread adapter at 7.4 volts. I know it's well above the recommended voltage but the only vv mod I have is the Iris and the donuts have too low of a resistance for it.
Wow! These things are great. I don't think they'll last very long at 7.4 even with quick button pulsing but I'll replace them with a proper vv mod and a 2.5 donut when they're done.
The 2.5 donut must be a big improvement over the 1.0 donut I guess?

So I was not surprised this morning to find that my friend had overfilled the v2.5 donut last night and oil is now leaking from the two small air holes on the threaded base.

What is the recommended way to clean the v2.5? I've watched the video @divinetribe posted showing holding one of the upper air holes closed while blowing into the other and firing the cart. However, that doesn't appear to do anything for the oil that is leaking out of the lower air holes. What should I do?

Heat the donut up a bit. Take it off the mod. Cover side air holes and blow from the bottom. Repeat a few times then soak it in a bag of iso alcohol. Throuroughly dry n good as new

So it is safe to soak the entire base in iso? Do you take the orings off first?

I'm using it on a Joyetech eVic VT at the moment. Do you mean to stay you run it at 450F when cleaning the donut or hitting it normally?

Personally I take the orings off. And I can only suggest using 450F to clean the donut on the invader mini. I don't know if the temp Control on the evic behaves the same so idk what temp on The evic will crack the donut. Play around with it. I suggest a good cleaning heat setting is one that gets the donut glowing red.

Oh and when you blow from the bottom, I twist up a napkin and wipe away the reclaim and repeat a few times before soaking in iso. The whole base in iso no problem. Just when you dry off, use same method. Blow from bottom and wipe away before firing. Make sure it's dry before firing. When dry enough fire the donut to burn off excess alcohol

Personally I flip the mod with donut upside down while firing. Let the reclaim drain and wipe with a napkin every r couple of hits. It's not required every couple hits but I just like keeping the donut clean and flavorful. I've had the 2.5 donut when it came out and never soaked in iso and never leaks.

This is the first portable combo I am actually recommending to friends and fellow patients without reservation (w9 stuff was not bad, but way too fiddly and tough to keep clean). There have really been some big advances in this market over the last year or two. Let's hope it continues!

I'll have to break down and order one I guess. Hopefully I get more satisfaction out of it that my v1 donut. I haven't been able to recommend any portable oil vapes to friends and family yet either. They all work great for me but I like fiddling with stuff and I spend a lot of time on FC. Everything I've tried so far has been too finicky (w9) or too fragile and expensive like my favourite the Cera for any casual users or non mechanical types.

My experience at 220F is very lackluster. At 220F I need to take at least 2 hits to finish the same amount at a higher temp. Vapor production and more importantly, the high, was lackluster. I like to use 300-330F at 16w. I change temp depending on strain or if it's crumble or shatter

356F is the ballpark temp you want to vape your goods before reaching any sedative effects. At 220F I do not believe you are vaping most of the cannabanoids. A real life test experiment with the 2 Temps (220F at 16w and 300F at 16w) with the same amount backs the data up in my experience. But if 220F works for you then that's cool too. Everybody has different preferences. Just a reminder, benzene and other carcinogens are present pass 365F

The actual temperature numbers are obviously way off, so I would not worry about that too much. They just provide a framework for adjustment. The key is to find a temp that works for you. I am fairly sure that 220f in the display is around 400f in reality, if not higher.
