I almost regretted not paying extra for priority mail for it to get here early, but it still showed up in two days :uhh:

Now I need to get to letting the battery to charge and power watching some YT demo videos... but this is great because I wanted to take it on an adventure tomorrow :D:brow:

Excellent news. Congrats......you must live right.....

Thanks for passing the good word.

I used and love my DT on a simple 30w VW mod. I used it at 14w-16w and got great results. It actually hits harder that way than using the TC mode with a proper TC mod (one that you can change the wattage in TC mode with ie. Pico, VTC mini, Cuboid, et.). So you may need to take it a little easier on the button so you don't char the load, but you definitely will get as big of hits or bigger in VW mode.

I programmed my Vtwo mini to 245 TCR at 16 watts. I use it around 390-400 and it's hitting really nice now!!

I figured once I let the battery charge for a nice long time I would do a few dabs at 12v and then push it to 18 tops.

I had w9 stuff before so it's not like I'm completely new to it to the wax pen game so i'm hoping it won't take long to get fully used to it :D

Well, my donut has been treating me well (and me it) for a little over a month now. VTC mini is a perfect mod (the Vtwo mini too, which is just the updated FW and comes with a silicon sleeve)... catching up on the posts here. Been using 255 TCR, 12 watts, and 390 degrees F with great success. Totally portable and stealthy. I've used this on a road / camping trip with amazing results. Gonna experiment with a lower M value, 245 ish, and higher watts, 12.5 probably. The reason being, I was getting a lot of splatter, melting, and just not efficient hits (on the road). This was mostly because I was unable to keep the ATTY as clean - being on the road, trying to be stealthy... The crust/buildup was manageable, but I know I wasted a good bit. Now that I have a feel for the heating/vaporization properties of this device, I believe I need a little bit more of a one-load, one-hit, or at least a more rapid vaporization (power) if its a bigger load, so that its not just melting... (rambling stops here)

For the any person with a donut not being detected - I had a similar experience my first time cleaning a donut... I must've rotated the donut when using a Q tip. My solution: rotate/spin the Q tip the other direction. One of the leads must've been loose. Been a solid donut ever since, with more delicate/precise cleaning. Cheers!

Although I have not used the TC mode yet (I am waiting to get a second and maybe third and fourth 2.7 before trying :p) I have done a few loads at 12w exactly.

I like the seconds counter with the decimal place!

Laughing because i spent $50 on a battery and atomizer combo that did what all the W9 stuff promised it would cheaper and better.

also i thought they didnt include the dabber but it's tiny and is inside the atomizer box ;)

I had no problems using it, i may be able to go even easier ont he buttons than i was, but using a QCB on my favorite rig versus this with the same size loads, gave near equal flavor & effect so I see no reason not to use this even around the house!

when i get some backup atomizers ill try hitting it with TC mode for fun.

nice one divine tribe!!!!! i am a dedicated customer now

good to have a reliable portable as it seems this is going to be pretty solid if i don't abuse it!

and he proves that shipping doesn't have to be a hassle. His orders reach me faster than anyplace I've ordered from.

Matt is the man. I wish everyone did business like he does.

Ordered 3 coils for my Siaonara from him today.

Thanks for this piece of advice. This got my dead atomizer going again.

Thoughts on the Saionara? I received mine but am waiting on some concentrate before I can try it. I only ordered the kanthal coils and I'm curious how the other two perform. The DT 2.5 has been my go to personal device for some time now. I'm hoping the saionara will be a harder hitting, more idiot-proof device that I can hand around to friends without having to give them lengthy instructions or babysit their hits.

You will get your wish then. This thing hits HARD and it chews through wax. Load up a big blob and in 3-4 hits it's gone. Biggest clouds Ive ever seen came out of this thing.. even bigger than an enail.

I was gonna buy a couple more 2.7s so i will find one of these on the store too and have to get it... sounds too good

But you guys who like it to "hit hard" might want to consider this: back in the days all we had was a torch and a nail. There was no way to control the temp other than judging the cool-down time before applying the dab. By analogy to smoking, the big clouds theory ruled. It said that fat milky opaque throat cutters were the ticket.

But with flowers in good vaporizers people had started noticing that at lower temps a more transparent vapor was also headier. The higher temp hits were sleepier. And higher yet the oil was starting to decompose and approach the texture of smoke. It's a mater of what you want, at what time of day.

So maybe try running these wonderful rigs more gently before pushing them, and see if a more transparent vapor doesn't fix yer head just as well or better, while making the atomizer last?

Exactly. There are times when what I want from a rig is a large, dab type hit. In group situations, some people who you are handing your device to may have little or no experience vaping. Many do not immediately grasp the concept of feathering the button, modulating draw speed, etc in order to dial in a desirable hit. For instances like these, a device that quickly delivers a large satisfying hit by simply mashing the button and inhaling is ideal.

Hoping the saionara fills that need for me.

Im actually running my unit at several watts below the recommended setting. This thing doesnt produce harsh vapor, it just produces a LOT of vapor. By the time you feel it in the back of your throat, its too late. Youre going to be coughing your lungs up. 3-4 second pull is about all you can get away with unless you have iron lungs.

The sayonara is an amazing device. Quick to heat up and monster rips just don't expect your wax to be in the bowl for long because those hits vape up a lot but oh my god the rips are beyond any vape I have ever hit and I have tried almost every one out there. . Im sure the v3 will be comparable to this considering its larger donut size.

sipping slowly has prevented any spatter whatsoever.

im considering the DT dry herb atty but wonder if it can perform as good or better than say a grasshopper, crafty or pax2. anybody have an opinion on experience ?

I have looked all over the site and can not find the さようなら anywhere

do you have to email about it to order one?

I am an old school dabber from the nail torch days (still rock a quave with a torch at home) but slowly the DT 2.7 and eLeaf is taking over. I have ordered a couple spare 2.7's and when they get here i will start messing in TC mode, so if i kill one i won't be so sad waiting for more to show up! i keep using it at home the 2.7 is really awesome.

I load a dab a bit smaller than I would do on the quave and stick it right on the middle, after 2 small hits to melt it on, i get like 2 dozen really nice size hits, this is so perfect because sometimes i want to dab but i want to take my time going thru it, not always do that bong rip-esque head rush rip. I have locked it at 12v so far

I got the deep bowl one BTW. It seems perfectly sized for me so i haven't ordered any of my spares as the normal bowl size. Anyone got both to take a picture of the 2 side by side?

In any case if TC is working we no longer need to feather the button.

@Volteric I don't have one, so take it as prejudice, but judging from Matt's videos it, ironically, it requires a lot of button feathering once you get it hot enough to start working. I'm sticking with dedicated flower vapes like the Solo for now.

Is anyone here only using TC mode with their DT 2.7?
I'm still only using it at 12w in wattage mode happily...

Guilty. And with the 2.5 as well (same base.......).

TC is the same 12 Watt deal to a point, only it automatically cuts back to half that (or so) to hold temperature. Without it there's a pretty big change in results with load changes (Slower when full, hotter when dry or nearly so).

You get very predictable (uniform) performance and basically 'can't burn the oil'.

Put another way, how many guys got TC going and then decided to take the DC back to VW mode? I bet basically none?

I get crazy battery life with my eleaf 40w. I haven't even plugged it back in since the first time I took it off a full charge, i've brought it so many places and ran so many bowls thru it.... and it still looks like the dang battery is full!!!

I think @OF is mastering the craft of explaining TC to non-TC vapers. Except that what I see is not half the wattage - after target temp is reached - but a tenth . Then it hunts up and down between 12 and 1 watt to maintain temp, effectively doing all the hard work of feathering the power button for you.

I've even switched to TC on e-liquids, running a Goblin Mini full of butterscotch flavored VG on an eVic VTC mini - no more burnt wicks, no more burnt juice. And SS316 coils are the cat's me-ow, or whatever cats do. No more oxidizing Titanium, no more toxic Nickel.

@DrNick420 that battery tells a sad story. YOU'RE JUST NOT VAPING ENOUGH.

Hey folks....sorry for the newb question but how do you fill these donut coils....do you just put it on the donut itself
