Dani BFG vs Anvil Vestratto

The other unique feature of the Anvil is its ability to regulate the air flow before it reaches the loaded bowl, not after like the air port on the DV and other third party stems which simply dilute the vapor after the extraction. The only other portable vape that I'm aware of that offers adjustable air flow is the Davinci IQ2. Both vapes sell for a premium for a portable.
Im in doubt with it, how restricted is the Anvil airflow full opened?? much more than the Dani?

Sorry if I cannot explain myself better but I’m not native english. The major airflow constrictions are not the holes on the cap but those spiral things on the tip. If you want more airflow you need to widen them.
I heard about that from a guy on reddit an his results were amazing!
This is the thing, I dont like the restricted airflow in the Dani, this is very good for using it through water but natively is very difficult to have good control of the situation. Too much negative pressure. I think the trick in these kind of vapes is to use natively, at home with glass I prefer bigger sets

What you say is true, can try one thing, if you unscrew the Dani's cap a bit enough to show the open area under the holes and inhale, it is restricted anyway, the problem are not the holes, it is in the tip. Im interested in opening those 'convection rails' and try to arrange a less restricted airflow. Dremel's ready😈

I would like to reach something like the Vector or Vaporgenies does, a more opened heat exchanger where you have full control when the thing goes hard

But I dont know if maybe the Anvil could do this natively, it seems to have the same problem, you can open the hole but still have a very restricted 'convection rails' again 🤔

Is there a huge difference between full closed anf full open in the Anvil??

You can open it completely no restriction amd close it completely restricted and anywhere imbetween. The anvil has full airflow control.

In the Anvil full open is very open, you can almost free breath through it. it is very good natively

@maremaresing I agree with all your points! The crown jewel of the Anvil is the oven as mentioned above. Every other part is an after thought IMO, hastened to design to rush it to market. The mouth piece and air flow adjustment have already been redesigned and offered as a option, now the condensor, cooling unit and stem need to follow.

The first thought when I received the Dani V2 was this is what the DV should and could of been. Minimal O rings, good cooling without buying a third party stem, medical grade SS and Ti used throughout and the main parts securely thread together. Add to that very low risk of combustion, plus anodized color choices with out paying an extra cent. All for around the same price as a DV 'M'.

Found even with a large bowl you can micro dose just like the DV. In fact I've been vaping non cannabis medicinal herbs through it for weeks, something that I would never, ever consider with the Anvil and DV. Both would not have the control to do lower temp extractions.

Vu at BFG has provided great customer service and I will continue to support his future work.
At other herbs do u use?

@padmatara.clo There are a number of different herbs flower/leaves that can be used for vaping. Temperature control is far more critical than with cannabis as these are normally more delicate and rapidly lose their essence at higher temps. There are a number of places online that give info on vaping non cannabis herbs, but only a few that are 100% trust worthy.

The folks at @Davinci_vaporizer have been producing quality vaporizers for medical cannabis and herb users for well over a decade. They have an extensive Blog posts plus a YouTube channel that provides an abundance of info on this particular topic. Well worth exploring. You can find the link to the Blog HERE.

Always use chemical free organic herbs, best being home grown or a trusted herb store. Good luck!

I understand that the BFG can't be heated by an induction heater; whereas, the Anvil can. I'm not interested in using a torch, but love the VC+IH ritual. Maybe some day another IH-heated vape will supplant my VC.

Question - Does the anvil tip fit in the Dani V3 metal stem? I ask coz I already have a V3 on the way & wanted but couldn't really afford a full-featured, full-priced anvil aswell, & then John just now announced free international anvil shipping till end of Sep, so I could potentially now get an anvil WPA kit for just 179usd, but of course I'd then forever be curiously wanting but not able to try it native, it'd be really cool if I could whack it in the Dani stem & save cash by not getting an anvil stem if it's not needed - Capisce?

There are two options for attaching the Anvil stem to the Anvil oven. One is with the Integrated Stem where the air flow control and stem are one solid unit that's pushed into the oven and attaches with O rings. The other is the original air flow valve that's also is pushed into the oven and held with O rings on one end, and the opposite end is threaded into a standard stem with O ring seals.

The diameter of the original air flow valves threads are considerably smaller than the opening on the Dani V2 and V3. Even if larger compatible O ring set up was possible, making it a push in instead of a thread joint there would still be the problem of adjusting the air flow, as the threading on the valve is the air flow adjustment.

Now if some ingenious individual could create an adapter to accommodate this pairing I would be first in line to buy it. ;)

Doesn't the Dani V3 fit into 14mm with no need for a WPA? If saving cash is an issue, why spend the money?

I don't own a Dani, but I'm looking into one, excuse me if I'm misunderstanding something here

Hi the v3 ss stem and wooden stem fit a 14mm without any adapter or o-ring.

The wooden wpa just fits better, is for “rule-of-cool” and for a shorter “stem” so less surface to catch your chemicals.

But instead of a V3 i highly recommend the Dani V2 vooden stem + Dani Titanium tip.

The titanium tip is game changer for everyone that looks for a heavy experience. Very similar to no differences from the anvil talking about airflow, vapor quality, quantity and density. Also the effects delivered are similar. Highly reccomended

I def just got a Dani and tested it with my wand. It works. Takes one heat cycle and about 15-30 seconds into another cycle depending on how much heat you want. I even set it to 360-390 f and get results along those lines. It works somehow

I have an Anvil, can someone comment on whether the Dani oven gets just as dark and ugly looking as quickly as an Anvil, drives me nuts! Thanks.

I use the green side of a sponge to shine mine up daily, takes 1 min. I use a metal poker in the oven holes to spin it quickly. ISO helps but not necessary.
