When I use Daisy in conduction mode like that, I like to place the herbs as far up towards the opening flare as I can.
This allows me to see the vapors form right underneath the bottom screen, inside the glass barrel, before they enter the wooden body.

Placing the herb conduction area towards the top also keeps the torch flame farther away from the wooden body also. Win win.

BTW, that is a sexy torch.

Thanks for the tips @TriiKLe I will try that, this was my first attempt, but I think I can put the material higher still, I am also still experimenting with different load sizes. My only caveat is before my heat intake never needed cleaning, but now it shall require an occasional scrub.

I love this torch, I have one in black too, but they don't fire as consistently as the stock torch that Triihouse sells, plus they eat butane a bit faster requiring more frequent filling and also flame length adjustment. But I love the feel in the hand and the flame quality.

Maintenance note: Just buttered a dry body Daisy, it feels like I'm waxing a surfboard (no, I've never surfed or done that irl). Also changed out the screen and found I could pick out a ton of sticky goo resin/abv chunks with a bamboo skewer that I use as a stir stick. A lot more came out than I thought was in there, it was soft and easy to remove with no damage to the wood bowl, another testament to this great design. I threw it in with my abv, maybe something will come of it. BOY, I guess I didn't realize how restricted the airflow was becoming because I was still getting enormous clouds, but now that it's clear, this thing sings like a jet engine.

Has anyone tried the Daisy block peace-style with a waterpipe yet? Mine looks like it might seal against a 18mm female joint, the metal rim is pretty close to the same diameter plus the block covers the rest of the joint. If I had anything that wasn't ground to a fine powder I'd be trying it right now

I have used it with a Hydrotube and was getting into it for a couple weeks, but I think thing about the Daisy that is so nice is that it's really small for the cloud you get. I have also run a MFLB whip from the metal cylinder that keeps the two blocks attached and ran that whip to a 12" tall beaker shaped bong. The hits were nice but I felt like it was just too much to hold the bong, hold the Daisy carb and light the Daisy all at the same time.

Once you start adding to the Daisy, I find it to be eliminating the convenience factor of getting such a huge and smooth hit with practically no effort. The Daisy really doesn't need anything...it is already the "BEST" vaporizer for most that have bought it. I know it is my "BEST" vaporizer.

I will admit though, it is fun to see how else and what else you can do with the Daisy. Just keep in mind that the fun may die quick once you start thinking about how easy your Daisy was to use before you went through all the trouble to hook it up to water.

@nosmoking I was thinking more along the lines of this, with the heat intake tube loaded up for conduction like the new Peace vape. Might be quite nice since you don't need to heat it while you're drawing, not much restriction either.

That looks like it could be a lot of fun as long as you can get an airtight seal. I have a collection of grommets and o-rings so I bet I could find something that would work to get a good seal. I did make a video of how to get the Hydrotube to seal to the block and I have a couple new pictures of the Daisy w/ Hydrotube.

The white tape in the pictures is Teflon tape I was using to create a better seal but it still is not airtight. The problem is the Hydrotube is not a true circle and the stem hole in the Daisy is so you will not be able to get it completely airtight unless you could fit an o-ring in between.
The tool in the video that I am using is just your standard packing/cleaning tool that comes with most Chinese vapes like the Flowermate V5.0s. The back end of tweezers would probably work too.

I have to say that I am quite touched seeing a "bunch" ( thanks @h3rbalist ) of Daisies in the wild.
There are Daisies in every continent, besides Antarctica, that I know of.

When I see pictures of all your Daisies and I see particular grain patterns, I am taken back to when that Daisy or any other Triihouse product, was in my hands. Every curve and edge...man it is a pretty cool feeling.

I am also loving seeing all the modifications and cool ways people are using their Daisies.
For me, all the fun ideas and innovations really captures the essence of what Triihouse is all about.

Think movies like Goonies, Sandlot, Stand by Me, Jack ( with Robin Williams ), Little Rascals, etc.

I can definitely feel the soul you've infused into my Daisy. I've only been vaping full time for just under two years and have only had my Daisy since, um, February (?), but it already feels like a deep and long relationship has bonded us.

The only other vaporizer I've owned that I can honestly say gave me the same sense of warmth was my original Flash Evaporator by Green Metals (they later made the Omega, Eterra and Pneuma) in the mid 1990s, it was electronic, but had a hand crafted wood and metal exterior. The rest are just objects.

Quick note,
When noobs are trying my Daisy, I place a cardboard cut out on top of my intake block to prevent scorching of the block by improper torch aim.
I guess aluminum foil would also work.
There is a learning curve, but the behavior modification reward system is so powerful that mastery is inevitable.

Yes go Lakers as well. But I would have thought maybe like a Scottie Pippen? I do not know why.

I have been doing a lot of developing and research lately. After working on Lily and the Peace for awhile, and other models , I have been coming back to Daisy full time again.

Boy, did I forget how much I love her. Man, seriously.

I obviously woke and boke.

Another cool thing: I talked about having Daisies, at least, in all continents besides Antarctica. I do not know if some of the larger vaporizer manufacturers out there still or ever felt this way, but I think it feels almost magical to know a " bunch" of people out there are using a Daisy and quite possibly they were blowing a big fat cloud at the same time I am. And we are all connected in this great vapor-cloud of life.

I will not name the legendary FC member here who always reminds us that the herbal tea in which we partake is the holy grail that binds us all here on this forum. It is cool knowing, and this goes for all vaporizers really, that many of us are having identical experiences of discovery, ymmv of course, but essentially the same. A question.....It came with two different sizes of heat intake stems. One is longer than the other. Is the longer for the conduction method or vice versa? It also came with some square-ish/rectangular screens. What are these for?

Yes, I would say Tommy hooked you up with a extra intake for conduction style use. Take two of the square/rectangle screens and fold each one into a v or u shape. Insert one from the bottom of the intake. (I place mine so the open end of the shaped screen is facing out.) Insert your favorite vaping material. Then insert the other screen on top, using it to sandwich your material between the two screens. Heat for 10~30+ seconds depending on what effects you are looking for. Hope this helps @jackmormon. Edit: Missed your other question. The two intakes. The intake that is longer, that one should also have a larger flare where you apply the heat. That is the convection intake. The shorter intake should have a smaller flare, that is the conduction intake.
