i think i need to get the daisy first. i probably need some pratice. and i like big bowls on my vape.

Daisy's bowl is quite a bit bigger but Lily's isn't tiny. Get both and save on shipping. Lily fits into the same box with Daisy.

Edit: Oh, and grab yourself a stainless steel mouthpiece while you are at it.

I doubt that the Lily will replace the Daisy as my favorite peice, so I think you'd be doing the right thing by getting the Daisy first.

Now that Daisy's little sister has her own thread, it's safe to say that Daisy was getting a little jealous of all the attention her new little sister is getting like all older siblings do.... The daisy to me is a bench mark vape, you measure other vapes to her

Maybe I've been watching too much ancient aliens but I'm convinced Tommy was visited by advanced alien visitors that showed him with a few pieces of wood and glass how to rip through material...

No offense to the ladies of FC,

So, Daisy is the, um, fuller figured sister and she's PO'd that we're over on that 'other' topic, fawning all over her younger, lither, and yes perhaps sexier little sister?

I do feel like I'm ignoring the Daisy just a bit. On the Lotus tonight.

Just to show that I'm still commited, I purchased a couple of spare parts (neck, couple stems, o-rings) to keep the old girl running.

I have had both Daisy and Lily for a little over a week and I have to say, the Daisy has totally blown away my expectations. I will leave Lily talk for the Lily thread. this post is about Daisy:

first and foremost - the "vape signature" is devastating. this thing hammers home the goods in epic fashion.

it is extremely efficient, like any damn-near-100% convection device. i can get 3-5 massive clouds out of a load that just covers the screen.

taste is incredible now that I have broken her in. I was put off by the woody taste at first, and in fact I thought for a bit that I was tasting butane. after about 15 or so sessions, the flavor improved greatly and I can confirm that there is absolutely no trace of butane, at least to my nose (I did several tests in an attempt to taste butane, to no avail. its simply all burnt up)

form factor is 10/10 for me. it's classy, and just fun to use, take apart, etc. and it is the quickest vapor experience I know of. zero-to-shanti in like 2-3 minutes. potentially less. I suspect that there are some things going on here that aren't immediately obvious. for example, the torch itself provides a forced-air effect which provides huge clouds with a strangely very light draw. and I think the water vapor produced by the butane burning off is smoothing out the hit for my throat and lungs

I think more people should be using this vape. it is stellar

EDIT: I should add, the technique does take some practice and I'm not an expert yet. but it's not hard to get good results. just don't expect to get her to whistle every time right away. also I don't really see the point of the wood mouthpiece. those are the only criticisms I can come up with.

I'm totally of the belief now that there's something special about vaporizing your Bud in wooden bowls.

The Daisy (along with my ev2 and UD using wooden bowls) Really give maximum benefits from my herb both in where they take my head and how it seems to give the full spectrum of medical relief I seek. All out of one bowl and session.

Where I would be doing a low temp session to deal with nausea so I can eat then do a high temp session for pain hours later after eating since I lose my appetite after 'em, now using the daisy I can finish off with fully vaped AVB and be right where I wanna be physically and mentally.

Still lovin' on Daisy daily she's awesome, while now waiting on Lily.

the EV2 and UD might get some well deserved rest.

I dug out my Lotus last night which hadn't been used since the Daisy arrived.

It was good and all, but there's something about the Daisy that I prefer. Maybe it's the whole mouth peice thing. If I had to describe it, it's a bit like taking in vapor thru a oxygen mask...there's little restiction, so it's really easy on the lungs. The vapor is very cool by the time it hit's the lungs too.

My other vapes by comparison, require some form of slower draw through a more staw-like stem. The vapor can be a little hotter IME as well. But they offer their own advantages....

What a world of choices we live in eh?

yes mouth piece and over length I think has a part to do with it.

My friend used the Daisy for the first time and was equally impressed. I was wondering how he'd do with it, but he caught on right away.

The Daisy smooths even huge clouds and there is hardly any coughing during sessions.

The lack of restriction is refreshing compared to other vapes

Very happy with Daisy. Got her today, have used her three times now and shocked with the results each time. Very good vapor from just a pinch. Using it I found to be very easy. I was able to extract all to a nice even brown from the first use. I did adjust the flame of the included torch to about one inch. I don't mind the size as much as I thought I would. It feels very comfortable in my hands. The grain work in the wood is very nice and I also like the darkness of the walnut. It is a straight forward design that provides a great effect. This is a awesome product for the price. I can't wait to take her camping with me next week.

So am i.

The round edges almoste made me order a second one with lilly but VAS is undercontrol, one vape, not two, some Daisy Bundle just slipped in the cart to compensate.

I felt the same compulsion when I saw 'curvy Daisy' and somehow held off for now myself. I Have a family member who wants me to pick 'em up a daisy in the next month or two(he won't do internet commerce) and when I do order it, it will come here so I can try it first ... he may just end up with my original "preseasoned" gal instead.

(makes perfect sense to me)

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my box and found a curvy girl. I don't have a square one to compare, but I'm guessing less sharp edges mean more comfortable in the hand, plus the curved edge on one side of the blocks makes reassembly more intuitive since there is no symmetry to confuse which side is which.

Arrghh! Bloody jittery jumpy jet lighter flame!

Acrid urgh!

I think I may feel a Vapman lighter purchase coming on . . . or perhaps I'll just go for an actual Vapman vape +lighter bundle & that way add to my torch powered arsenal at the same time. . . & no, it's not VAS, I just need a reliable torch lighter & it's a better deal when you get it with the vape :D

Come on now Daisy, let's go get you cleaned up m'dear...

:peace:

When I load a Daisy bowl I tamp it flat over the screen. Does anyone else out there use a tamper?

I just bump the side against my palm to settle the load evenly across the screen. I try not to load more than half full like Tommy has advised, I find that and maybe even a little less makes activating cloudage a bit easier.

I really love the ritual aspect of the Daisy.

I was dropping nugs in the Daisy and then busting them up and stirring througout the sesh.

But I've found that grinding and doing it the way Tommy suggests (just enough to cover the screen) does give optimal results.

I never tamp my loads in any of my vapes.....my theory is that the heated air needs to evenly and freely pass through the herb in order to vaporize properly.....maybe I'm way off on this, but it's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

The relative ease of removing the lower block inspecting the contents and giving it a stir makes it a pleasure to OCD over the act. Being a big, deep bowl helps keep from getting ABV all over the place too.

There's nothing not to like about this vaporizor. I can usually find faults and point out constructive criticizms on just about anything...even things I like a lot, but this hasn't been the case with the Daisy.

I'm loving my Daisy!

The flavour from this thing is massive. Only tasting wood now in later hits when the flavour of the herb is diminished.

I have owned 5 different portable vaporizers including Solo and Lotus. The Daisy is my favourite by far.

Ease of loading and stirring is a huge plus as is the low resistance draw.

Can get good hits with a smaller flame with a moderate draw or a longer flame with a fast draw. No sign of scorching or uneven vaporization either way.

Is there a consensus on optimum flame length? I see one inch mentioned. Does this mean the inner blue flame? Seems a little big?

Cheers

Hey Tommy, I really like your website. It's clean, the color of the wood pops, and aesthetically pleasing. I mentioned to G once about upgrading the w9 website to look nicer, but I guess you don't need it if you are selling as much product as he does. (if it ain't broke, don't fix it).

Going to purchase the Daisy today. Any recommendations for extra parts and accessories? I am definitely picking up the the SS mp and some extra screens as well as the lighter.

Daisy doesn't have an SS mp, that's for the Lily. Extra screens is a good idea, other than that you might want to consider the "wood butter" to keep her body in good condition. Thankfully Tommy does not overcharge for his accessories, his prices are great!

Overall length is an inch, if you look at the graphic it shows the inner blue to be about half an inch . . .

screenshot_2015_02_06_at_07_43_57.jpg

I like mine just a tad bigger, with inner blue going to about 3/4 of inch.

I have developed this method of rapidly working the carb while I rip, seems like it extracts even faster and evens out the done-ness of the spread out material...I don't play any instruments but I can imagine myself playing a killer sax riff

Oh and for people wondering do I need a Daisy or do I need a Lily, think back to your combustion days. Picture a small water bong vs a small hand pipe. You could do the job with either one, but one is better suited for home use and one is better suited to portable use. They really compliment each other and kudos for Tommy for this home/portable lineup

I wanted a Dasiy soooo much. But its really not right for me now. Can't have glass lying around at home. I will own one some day though. Got a Lily on order to replace my iolite/backup vape and feel I have made the right choice, just playing the waiting game now...
