While self stirring is attractive in theory (Arizer tried it with the Cyclone bowl but it’s been attempted by others) I find that anytime you induce a vortex and the herb flies around like that it contacts the hot heater wall, chars, and tastes burnt.

The herbo Ti does that. There is a vortex but it's not that strong, herb isn't flying around. And it is far from tasting burnt.

That’s a different type of vortex entirely.

Their “vortex” is referring to the fluid dynamics which takes place when turbulent heat transfer occurs in the milled channels on the titanium heater core.

This is an induced vortex spin at the bowl taking inspiration from air spinning bangers.

If the heater induced a vortex but the herb isn’t spinning in the air chamber then it’s already stabilized into a laminar flow by the time it passes over for hot air extraction to occur.

I can get it flying around but it requires a very strong pull while I'm a lazy sipper.
The vortex does exist but at a flow rate that is too low to get material flying (with a coarse grind at least).

watching again the video in the OP I realize that the design of the injector might include tilted air channel that could help getting the air spinning... and we clearly see bits of material getting stuck to the injector joint.

I'd still love to try this bowl with the herbo (assuming it's 18mm).

I just got mine using a xl v1.1 uni heater on 1111. Love not having to stir anything, I just leave the top on until I fInish the bowl.

I got the quartz bowl in 18mm but kinda wish I went with boro (assuming the boro are thicker). I need to try out different packs, just using 6mm pearls right now. Fun vape if you want all glass and no torch. I will pick up the 14mm mini to try it next, I think it might be better for my purposes.

Oh the roller coaster I’ve been on…

My Lotus has been on order since July, originally planned to ship in October. The second wave of anticipation from October had just subsided when I checked this thread lounging on the couch with a belly full of turkey, in my tryptophan induced haze I had a little “if it ever does ship…” quip typed out and never hit post.

I get home Saturday and find I completely missed a shipping notification from Wednesday, and it’s actually at my local post! Should be delivered Monday, happy dance!





Yeah…it’s still “processing” at local post, I assume they got slammed with holiday time off coinciding with our massive consumerist group splurge just putting the poor carriers further behind…

I suppose it’s apropos at this point :|

I'd like to see this version. I had one ordered and in the meantime been using the pukinbeagle version, which I haven't used much since diagnosed with heart issues :( Had to contact DNail and cancel my VGW pre-order because of said heart problems. So now I'm just an innocent bystander to the vapeworld.

Been so concerned about my lung health for the past decades that I completely missed the heart tissue and electrical impulse damage. One of the many side effects of prohibition--we haven't had access to high quality clinical trials or medical information. Anyway, enough of that, please post pictures and impressions.

5 days from arriving at post to delivery seems totally reasonable…at last it has arrived! I underestimated the heat this thing would require, I think it’s better suited to UTH than a coil, I was slowly ramping the coil but when I got to 700° on the DC PID and still wasn’t getting much I gave up and went to UTH. I got one bowl out of it, I think I will like it once I get the ritual down.

ETA: I love the quartz, especially the bowl!

Edit 2: added in some small boro balls to fill in. This morning with UH @888 on a DC PID, starting to get the hang and it’s enjoyable! The auto-stir works much better than I expected, will see if I find any drawback.

I just got mine an hour or so ago. They threw in some quartz balls and suggested those be used in the top joint because they didn't expect them to expand as much as the other media (I also got Shinju).

I hope they make it right for you, I am not calling that one user error.

Nice, glad you finally got it! Did the boro stand come with yours? I had thought they said they would include one with the early pre-orders but mine didn’t arrive with one…

They are usually pretty good at taking care of me; I once complained about one of the Victoria variants I got being a little off, so they added me to the pre-order for the next variant. And when that variant got delayed they gave all the pre-orders a store credit PLUS a free gift for waiting. Including me the jerk who was just there because I complained :D

Mine had a note on the packing slip. It said something like, "stands are arriving and will ship soon!"

Yeah, supposed to come with stand. Wow, those balls caused that? I'll have to snap a shot of mine because I've got all the balls in it haha.

Did anyone get the full order with the heater? When I had my order in, I had all the options ticked off. Has anyone seen the heater they include/developed for this set? I'm mostly curious to see what kinds of improvements they were making over the UTH.
