So it sounds like there are a lot of dead Venty's floating around right now.

Does anyone have one they'd be willing to loan me in exchange for some store credit and a bunch of freebies after I finalize some widgets? Send me a private message please!

Also don't miss my latest sale:

A “POWERED DOCKING STATION”, would be a good Venty accessory!

A stand similar to your:

jbm

Not a Vapman “beta tester”
I’d love to see some sort of stand or holder for use with coils for untethered ball vapes like the CC Omega. I’m using a concrete ashtray at the moment but the coil rests on the bottom of the ashtray, not ideal.

Already in the works as soon as I have a venty for measuring and test-fitting the placement of the bottom charging cable. Just like my newer plenty stand - I'll likely print it hollow and then fill it with added material to increase weight/stability so it's a bit more stable than that Grasshopper charging dock ;)

Great, the challenge might be what USB cable connector is used, as there are so many on the market, and the plug shape itself can vary by a lot. I suggest using the USB charge cable that comes with the Venty. While it may look generic, after testing many of my current USB cables, most not cheap, the S&B included cable, tested faster then ALL my cables, and can deliver a 3 amp charge. Any questions, let me know.

Here's some examples:

IDB has something like that here.

Another example from koil boi here.

Personally, I like the minimalistic style of the flongs over the IDB style which has a bigger footprint but the flongs only work with their custom coil handles which they don't sell separately unfortunately.

It seems there is a demand for a smart and cheap 3D printed design for wireless ball vape coil handles.

Especially for those who don't like to DIY or pay for overpriced options like this one from cannabis hardware.

So if anyone could solve that dilemma and fill that niche I'm sure it would be you @Delta3DStudios

I like the flongs but I feel like a closer analogue from CC would be this:

But I would absolutely love to see what @Delta3DStudios comes up with!

Lol, I love seeing so many more 3D printers in the industry. So many more than when I started way back in 2014! And dang, wireless Ball Vapes? What a world we live in now - remember when you could count the number of portable dry vaporizers on the market on one hand? Pepperidge farm remembers.

So you're looking for a stand for this:

That should be doable. If someone has calipers and can give me some measurements of the diameter, I could possibly come up with some sort of stand/holder for the device.

Problem is we're leading into my busy season so I don't have much time for side projects unless I have a custom order in the queue pushing me to finalize something. If anyone wants to work with me on the project, by all means send me a private message with measurements and I'll see what I can do :-)

I believe folks are looking for a way to hold the coil. So the Terp Hammer already has a good solution for the coil (the dab ready), but other wireless vapes (e.g. the Omega) are more DIY. I currently use a small panavise to hold my coil but there are lots of other DIY solutions.

Anyway, I am confident you could come up with a great coil holder.

I have a venty on loan from another generous FC member

I have finished a Venty flexible funnel - just need to print some other colors and photograph for the listing.

I also have finished a Venty WPA which will be printed out of stainless steel (hoping to have that finished and available for sale within a month).

I'm currently working on a rough 3D profile for the Venty which I'll be using to make the stand design, although the holiday festivities have slowed down productivity. Hoping to have something finished next month!

Happy New Years All! Hope you had a good NYE

Last year was a hell of a bad year for myself so I'm happy to see 2023 in my rearview mirror so to speak

Anyway I've been hard at work catching up on orders as well as more R&D work. And now for some exciting updates....

First, I've got a new stainless steel Venty WPA which should be ready soon as I confirm it fits perfectly as intended. This version should be MUCH more durable than my silicone mighty adapter  - pictures coming as soon as I have confirmed this new 18mm stainless WPA fits/functions as desired.

Next up I'm nearly finished my Venty charging dock! Although I could use some feedback on the design. I'm thinking about keeping it simple without any extra slots (aside from a charging port in the base). However I'm open to feedback/requests/suggestions from users. Here's the current design:

My plan is to finish this design within the next few days so I can publish both this and the loading funnel at the same time. Still tweaking the charging port fit so it's easy to install. I also might print the item hollow and fill it with a resin to increase the weight if necessary (although don't know if that'll help much in disconnecting the dock from the vape after charging, still need to do more beta-testing).

Lastly, as some of you may remember, many years ago I sold a basket screen press to punch out your own basket screens which was discontinued due to manufacturing costs and build quality concerns. I never forgot about the basket screen press and have recently come up with some new design changes to re-introduce the product. So far it has been coming along nicely and I'm hoping to introduce a new v2.0 basket screen press in the near future. I've already had feedback from beta-testers to confirm my new 12mm size pleated baskets fit the Phase3 vaporizers, and plan to introduce several size basket screen presses sometime early this year

Cheers to 2024!

Need a 14mm adapter. :(
I fully intend on creating a 14mm version as well. Although the sponsor of the project specifically wanted an 18mm WPA adapter exclusively.

Given the price to 3D print in stainless steel, I'm still torn if I want to create a dual 18/14mm WPA, or dedicated 18mm and 14mm WPA. What are y'alls thoughts? Any preference one way or the other?

Separates are ALWAYS better!
Personally, not sure of using a SS adapter, as even past HARD PLASTIC versions of the Mighty glass/plastic WPA was reported to potentially CRACK the bayonet mount of the Mighty body. I’ve use it carefully, as well as your silicone version. Not sure I would want to potentially crack my new Venty with a metal WPA. I am willing to test it for you, but otherwise will wait for sometime for buyers feedback eventually…

Totally get it - I had my concerns as well. However upon close examination of these competing chinese adapters it seems that due to manufacturing limitations - the design for those plastic/glass WPA's lacked the stopper segment found on the original cooling unit. I did a lot of prototyping using plastic WPA's to ensure my version stops in the correct position so one cannot over-tighten the WPA causing it to split the plastic locking threads on the housing.

Regardless, I still have concerns about someone using the WPA with the Venty on a waterpipe with a 45-degree joint (like a beaker-style pipe), so I'll likely include a warning only to use with vertical inline joints such as hydratubes and oil-rig style waterpipes.

Due to the costs for 3D printing these WPAs in steel, these will likely be exclusively available on my website for the time being.

There is a huge startup cost to making a WPA out of FDA compliant silicone rubber so I don't think I'll be going that route anytime soon..... however I am experimenting with other in-house silicone rubber materials so I may consider bringing one of those to the market in the future.

Look forward to that. As you know I’ve “commissioned” a few loading trays, but am not in a position to do so for a metal WPA adapter. Good luck!

I'm with @RustyOldNail here. I currently am using a 3 way China glass WPA for my Tempest and it just doesn't feel stable. I haven't yet found a decent 18mm adapter for it, but I continue to look. Maybe I'll get lucky, or give up an custom it. I have a couple 14mm ones that are cut down Wands...

The Mighty OG rubber/silicone WPA can work in a pinch. It’s just a bit too small on the new Venty, and unwanted AIR gets in. I tested it, and can wait till we get a proper one.

Yep, my thoughts were similar on 3-way WPAs. So I'll likely keep them separate.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Venty Charging dock? Really trying to debate if I should make any major changes to the design before I finalize and publish this one.

I only see the one picture, looks like a good place to start. Why not make a few test units to ship to testers before making a final design? I know your prices are extremely fair, but this might be a big seller, and getting some in hand feedback before a final design might be worth it?
