Lol thanks all! I love this community. I would have never dreamed up the original Urchin design if it wasn't for another customer request (and even then our first version had a concave profile instead of the final convex profile). Seems to be quite a popular design, I've already made three variations of the same piece!


In other news I'm proud to report I've been EXTREMELY busy keep up with customer demand, too busy to keep everyone up to date with all my latest product listings! I received my E-Nano stem stands yesterday. They work perfectly and are so convenient. Now I have an easy way to store a loaded stem without worrying about spilling or it rolling around. Sometimes I'll take a hit or two and then come back to the same chamber hours later.

The urchin stand is very convenient and would be great for dabbers too.

I'm up shopping while I wait for the sticky brick jr to go on sale and I can't decide between some stuff. The e-nano urchin stand vs the 14mm urchin stand. Also the scoop-n-poke vs the scoop-n-stir. Not really debating price, just which ones I want. I'm leaning scoop-n-stir and e-nano because the holes are bigger? My urchin will always be the pineapple to me. Even though I usually hate the color yellow, for some reason I bring myself to get it any other color.

Isn't it so fun to see how that happens. That reminds me of the Kracken GonG I ordered from @VaPeD&CoNfUsEd long ago. It was a simple highdea I had one night, but something I thought he could build with his skillset at the time. Fast forward to now, and it's so amazing to see how much tentacle porn he's produced ever since

Did you want it to fit a 14mm or 18mm fitting? Or do you just want it to be a mouthpiece?

If possible, would you be interested in some sort of fins inside the vapor path to divert the flow of air and make the vapor even smoother? (no guarantees, just an idea of mine) - the problem is you won't be able to unclog the vapor path by sticking a poker through it (you'll need to soak it in ISO to melt out any reclaim buildup)

14 mm works best for me. I always clean/reclaim with ethanol so fins sound great.

I just got a sticky brick jr and I wanted to try it through water so I used @Ratchett 's universal song adapter and it worked perfectly, as is tradition.

I've been one of those guys keeping our boy Ratchett busy I got these items a couple of weeks ago already and I love em The urchin is a lovely little design that easily adapts to a variety of vape accessory needs. I asked to have one slightly modified for me: I just wanted the holes / slots around the perimeter to be pointed straight up (not angled) with smaller bore sizes, with the intent of standing up my main array of dab tools. And for the large spot in the middle, we have an 18mm female slot, which is a handy spot for my 18mm M cleaning plug.

This is my urchin in its new home, in the main logistical corner / hub of my "dab lab" This is much more compact and pretty than my last stand I was using for holding my dab tools. But the urchin was my side project with Ratchett, my main idea was for a 5 x 1 box mod vape stand, since I have way too many of these things

It came out great! The design time and effort was quite a bit more for this piece. It's real purty with the honeycomb pattern and emerald color hue.

There is only one minor flaw in this custom vape stand.... can you see it?

It's not completely flat at one end, like it's a little warped or has a small notch missing out from it. Overall, the stand sits pretty flat and stable, but it has a minor wobble if you press down on one end. No matter, because the vape stand still serves its function perfectly well, and looks damn nice while doing it.

This custom project ended up being a learning experience for Ratchett, in that he learned the size limits of his current printing equipment and printing surfaces. He tried to make me a re-print, but it didn't turn out any better, apparently. He tells me he's planning on buying a CNC mill in the near-future, and that he can pop out a perfect re-print for me when that happens. Until then, I'll still be using my vape stand and urchin, another happy customer served.

My latest acquisition from Delta 3D Studios is a carb cap stand. Just a small tool for my vape station, nothing too fancy. I like it a lot though, it's great to have someone that can create custom accessories like this, and even better that they're an active FC member.

I left the design up to @Ratchett, the only instructions I gave him were the dimensions:

I had him make it a little taller than necessary, and I've lined the bottom with organic cotton to provide a cushion for the glass.

I am loving my scoop-n-stir tool. First my only criticism is it's a little hard to find on the site, I say scoop/stir tools get their own category or something somewhere. Maybe I just didn't see it? Searching for it was easy though.

This thing is great for my lily, daisy (or sticky brick), and sticky brick jr. The scoop and stir end both fit perfectly in the bowls. I tend to put chunks in so I actually use the scoop part to stir, then the stir part to break up bigger chunks. When I get free ground stuff (pre-rolls) the scoop is a good dose and the stir end works perfectly. I love my little ear wax cleaner tool I've had for over 6 years and I'll still use it, but this tool was designed specifically for this and you can tell. I actually didn't like the texture in the middle of it when I was looking online, but after using it I can't imagine it not being there, it gives you the perfect grip. A well designed little tool.

I must admit I am rather fond of my SNS tool - it was my first metal 3D printed design, went through numerous iterations to find the best tool for my own needs with the E-Nano. Two years later I'm still using the same golden Scoop-N-Stir pretty much daily and I still love it!

Been a slow few weeks so I've been trying to enjoy the weather finally (took my first wakeboarding lessons yesterday! Not a bad start to a Thursday morning if you ask me). Looking forward to beautiful sunny weather for the next 6 months while my family up north freezes their butts off!

In other news, the Firefly V2 vaporizer is desperately calling my name. Can someone PLEASE give me a reason not to buy one and suggest an alternative on-demand convection vaporizer?? (Sorry, Milaana is out of the question)

Are you cool with butane? If so the Sticky Brick Junior and its big brother are fantastic on-demand convection vapes. The Junior is the more portable option.

They are almost like cordless E-Nanos when it comes to performance, truly desktop quality vapor production.

Other than that there's not many other options for portable on demand convection. If I'm not mistaken you already have a Grasshopper.

There's the Elevape but that seems very fiddly and mod-heavy to me. You'd probably be better off with a Firefly 2 than that.

There are some interesting portable convection vapes coming up from Haze, Boundless, Flowermate, and Focus. There's probably even more that I'm forgetting to mention.

I love my Delta 3D Studios products! I think about 75% of my vape station was created by @Ratchett, and while it feels pretty complete, I'm still thinking up new stuff to add. I might have the first documented case of D3DSAAS: Delta 3D Studios Accessory Acquisition Syndrome.

So much exciting stuff happening around the studio, I've got a few new products nearly finished development and I can't wait to share them.

However, due to the ravaging success of my first two "Nearly Universal" adapters, I've decided to release a new "larger" version which has a large 16mm opening (it can stretch a bit if needed), and tapers to a smaller diameter so it can handle a large variety of vapes.

I too was hoping the Firefly was going to be mine but I am hearing too many less than satisfied reviews to make the purchase.
The PAX 3 looks very interesting.

@Ratchett - I'm with Silat on this. Seems like there are a bunch of people who think its the best thing since sliced bread and others who think its a complete ripoff.

What I don't know is if both groups are experiencing the same thing and just view it differently (hard to believe but its possible) or if the two groups are having very different experience and, if so, I have a hard time just chalking that up to "learning curve" and "technique".

I don't know what the difference is and would love to get two people together, one with an FF2 that they love and one who thinks it just doesn't work. Get these two devices together with the same herb and see what's the truth in all of it. I don't know how else to make sense of the various reports.

If you are cool with this level of risk, then give it a shot. But if you are looking for a locked in, guaranteed satisfaction this may not be the one for you. I mention this because I have seen too many posts from owners who spent a LOT of money on this device and feel completely left out in the cold with a non-functional device. Got to weight that against the many who think their FF2 works perfectly.

Me...I'm still on the sidelines with this one.
