That is super cool!

We need you to make something that holds all the shit we collect as vaporists!

Soon as I get a CNC or lasemachine, I could make everything from drawer organizers to standlone boxes.

Can't wait to get it! Looks awesome @Ratchett. I am glad you were able to add the honeycomb. That sets it off!

Yeah, the Honeycomb texture didn't look so good in the 3D renderings, but it looks great when 3d printed!

I am really loving my order.

The Nu-song is so great and convenient! I have used it so far with both my Herbalizer and my Flowermate 5.0 and 5.0s. The tool is super easy to use. I have not yet used it with my Ascent or my Haze (which has regrettably turned out missing, so I will likely have to re-purchase). But I really love the nu-song with my herbalizer and flowermates.

I have also found that I can make a perfect fit with my pyrex flowermate mouthpieces into my D020 using the 18mm-14mm reducer. Very excited also with the plugs because I think it will make cleaning my D020 and F-bomb much simpler.

Thanks again for a top knotch experience @Ratchett! If nobody has tried out the Nu-song with the Herbie or Flowermates I highly recommend it.

Lol, sadly not yet! I've got some 3D models made for some Nano stuff, but I need to wait for Shapeways to launch Porcelain 3D printing so I can provide high-temp vapor safe products for the Nano!

I am waiting on shapeways to finish printing some steel accessories for the nano though. Can't wait to share those!

@Ratchett, has shapeways provided any info on if, or how much, the firing/glazing process changes the final dimensions? I toyed with the idea of ordering a ceramic piece via sculpteo, but ended up abandoning it because I figured I'd need greater precision. This is from their materials info: "...the glazing process will slightly alter the object'€™s geometry as it adds 1 mm of additional thickness. Keep in mind that the kilning process can also shrink your object by up to 3% as the water is heated out of the the object."

Sadly, I do not have any information, I would already be a beta-tester. But I'm trying to keep a low-profile on what I'm doing since it's not clear what their stance is on 3D printed accessories for vaporizers......

Although, I'm hopeful Porcelain 3D printing will have better precision and reprintability than Ceramic
(Note, Shapeways discontinued Ceramic printing because they were not satisfied with their partner providing the ceramic printing service)

@Ratchett I'm surprised yo haven't designed you're own grinder yet?
Porcelain grinder sounds sweet. It might not be just sounds sweet.Eventually I'll be placing an order with u.A lot of good stuff in the work.
Keep up the good work my friend!!

Sadly, it comes down to the safety of my customers. I could easily design thousands of grinder patterns. But I can't safely bring them to market at an affordable price to customers (I'd have to place a bulk order to have them milled). One day I'll get there, but metal 3D printing needs to evolve a bit more before I could print a working grinder.

Keep up the good work my friend!!

I feel blessed to be in this position, and love spending a bit of time EVERY day working on at least one new invention. Even if it's a simple tweak and recompile. Like I've said before, at any given time, I've got at least 7+ inventions in various stages of development. Hell, right now I have two 3D printed metal accessory prototypes waiting to be shipped to me, and two plastic accessories I outsourced to Shapeways so they could print with a more durable plastic (to ensure longevity of the finished product).

Hopefully I can introduce one or two of these accessories for sale shortly (They will printed by shapeways, but I may consider stocking some at my shop for those who aren't willing to wait 2 weeks for them to print the order).

so, a few weeks ago I ordered a few silicone plugs from @Ratchett who was quick to respond to my inquiry and had my request out to me by the end of the day I requested it.

I received them so fast they still needed to cure a bit so after a week or so I tried them out and pop! what a fit!
I have a larger mouthpiece plug that fits my Fbomb of about 1" ID and would plug a bigger diameter mouthpiece as well. I also received a 14mm plug which I have used on 14mm male to 18mm female joints. although the female joint required the plug be inserted upside down.

they have been hold up well against 91-99% ISO as well as citric acid solutions. I waited so long to post a review cause I wanted to see how they held up against said solvents and I can say without a doubt they held up perfectly.

@Ratchett thanks again for the plugs buddy! I use them so often they rarely get put away!

Haha, yeah the thick silicone requires quite a bit of time to cure - that's why I've been trying to cast extra plugs so they have plenty of time to cure before I ship. Unfortunately it seems I can't make them fast enough!

Thanks! Happy to hear they're working out for you. I agree, I love those plugs, I have about 7 of them in several sizes sitting on my shelf next to the sink.

I've got a new size rubber plug I'm releasing soon (just finished polishing the mold last night) - Jumbo tapered plug. Designed to fit huge mouthpieces up to 1.30 inches (33mm)

Interesting. @Ratchett can you confirm that the silicone is not adversely impacted by prolonged ISO soaks? I've yet to expose mine to ISO for fear of damage.

:peace:

I have done extended full immersion testing with my Silicone adapters in 91% iso for a week straight without any signs of deterioration. I've also done a full immersion test in PBW without any signs of discoloration or deterioration. As far as I can tell, nothing you'd put in your waterpipe for cleaning will affect these plugs.

The only thing which did have an affect, was my cigar torch, even that didn't produce as much excitement as I expected.

If you'd like me to try any other full immersion solvent test, by all means let me know what and I'll grab one of my 'rejects'.

Just placed another order for two Nu-songs! The original I received functioned great, but I carelessly left it within reach of the same puppy teeth that destroyed my original Ascent. It will actually probably still be functional once I trim it up, but no longer probably as useful for 14mm glass.

However, I'm such a big fan of the Song that I decided I need a replacement and a backup!

Honestly, I'm surprised it took any damage too, but that split is the only damage incurred.

It trimmed up pretty nice The area I trimmed off can still be used to connect devices to my F-bomb and the remaining can be used with the D020. However, things definitely sat better when the song was in its intended 1-piece form.

The nu-song is simply one of the best tools I own because it has accommodated all my vapes effortlessly. Mark my words that I never want to be without one in my arsenal.

Hot damn, I'm on fire!

Now available on my Etsy store:

19mm Male GonG stands (Lotus Petal design)
il_570xN.640421125_o2ny.jpg

(Male-Male fitting not included, shown for reference)

Yes, this is the first of a series of stands I'll be listing on the store over the next few weeks.

Currently this piece is only available in PLA plastic (withstands temperatures up to 140C), but I'll be adding this model shortly to my Shapeways store for purchase in exotic materials including ceramic and steel!

14mm version coming soon (although a reducer fits very nicely in this stand if 14mm is desired!)

I have a question about this piece. I currently use several hydratube stands and like them but sometimes I like to put an 18mm glass to whip adapter (http://www.vapornation.com/vaporbrothers-h20-adapter-19mm.html) on the bottom of my hydratube and it would be more convenient to have a temporary stand that could taper to accomodate this but not so deep that it would get stuck in the stand. Do you think it would balance ok with the current design which is for an 19mm male?

Hmmm, this sounds like something I'd could do as a custom order to ensure it fits your needs (and remains stable!). PM me and let's chat, I might be able to help, especially if you have a pair of digital calipers to help measure that taper.

Also note, I am running a 4/20 Holiday sale! Please view my signature or visit the storefront for details and coupon code!

Awesome! I will take advantage of this in the near future. I am scouring dhgate and other sources for a whip adapter because I keep breaking these things so I feel my best bet is to buy 5 at one time. Does anyone have any good Chinese sources they recommend for adapters? I posted something similar in the Open glass source thread.

I have digital calipers at work and ironically we have a 3d printer as well. I just don't like the quality of it and you seem to have reasonable prices for what you are posting.
