No, that was over a week ago. I've texted with him since then, paid the man, and haven't heard a peep in a week.
I have no problem with the wait, I just prefer continued communication and haven't heard anything since I paid. I have no doubt that I'll get what I paid for, but the lack of communication and wait confuses me considering I purchased an existing piece and am only waiting on a dropdown to be made.in all fairness he doesnt have the best track record with superior communication but I dont think anyone has had a flat out bad experience here.
hopefully he is just diligently busting your piece out with no time to spare.
Awesome. Hey, is it me or is Cory's communication not good?
He actually just got back to me on Kik. Things are looking good.I gave up a few weeks ago and never looked back.
Hahaha, not just you my friend It's abysmal, but hopefully worth it His pieces look second to none in terms of quality appearance and functionality so I'm willing to forgive his customer serviceAwesome. Hey, is it me or is Cory's communication not good?
Man if only he would have twisted those straight ribbons all around. It looks like a really expensive piece though.
Payment would be due after completion which means photos would be available. I don't see how that would be an issue.
after reading some of these posts, i have a strange feeling every time i hit my CGD piece lol. it's a combination of sympathy masked by pure bliss. so glad i caught this ride before it had a line
I think you will enjoy it if the recycle chamber is clear... there are times I wish mine was. watch that baby swirl! Not sure if he does that with others, but for mine I paid upfront. Good things come to those who wait, especially when it come to a true artist. It's been just over a month since I paid him, had a few Kik conversations with him but a few times it's been a week since I got a response, like the one he just sent me
The mouthpiece is the last part he has to do. Kinda wish the return from the 2nd can was colored, but this way I can see the entire whirlpool. I want now!!!!
Not true. He invoiced me and I paid already, but haven't seen any pictures or proof that the work has begun (hope it has). Last KIKs unanswered, why keep messaging? Friends, believe me, I do not play around with business transactions, and he's near the end of my rope.
I expect horrible communication, but the "you make my dreams come true" post from Cory doesn't warm my heart. I'd rather see a message that says "my work has gotten popular and I'm having trouble making adjustments to a better business model." Admit there's a problem. Don't use a phone for business if you lose it! Back up KIKs. C'mon, this is basic ebay selling 101!
I paid for a piece that may not exist right now. It wasn't a huge amount, but it ws more than I've ever paid for a piece. I had higher hopes for the transaction. I have a right to bitch, but my next post on the matter will be in the FU thread.
Edit: That's a gorgeous piece posted above! I would have paid the extra money just for an update like that.
Just to clarify my rant--it's not about how long the wait is, or even how bad the communication is. It's about how poor some of these artists are at expectation management. If it's going to take 3 months and I'll get 1 update, just tell me that already. I get that people paying $500 or more are more important. Feel like I'm in effing Disneyland, where the line snakes around so many times I don't know how many people are in front of me. Have I already lost my place in line, but just don't know it yet?
But I do know, when blowers treat customers all over the map, I'm thankful for forums like this one where we can share experiences to bring that to light.
Also still want to thank @Caligula for sharing his finds with us. Hope my bitching doesn't discourage you from doing it again in the future.
Edit: Ah, that actually felt good to get that out.
