Ok, I'm about to go into some sort of tangent.
I like MLB, I always remembered and liked the song, "This is Shangri La" because of the octave Guitar chord progression that is used. No one was really mixing "80's style vocals" with 90's music. Although Shangri La was more of an 80's sounding song.

Then in 97' Guano Apes came out with "Open your eyes". The octaves used in the beginning of that song remind me of This is Shangri La for some reason.
Then, I remember looking at youtube videos in 07' when I was practicing martial arts and came across Martial Artists using the Guano Apes song for their demo video. After going back and watching it again today, it reminds me of @stonemonkey55 and some of his vids.
