Hey, let me demonstrate my noobness. Just came across some Green Crack Bubble Hash concentrate. I'm confused cause of the texture. Can this be put into a pen vape? That's all I have on hand at the moment.
What about the old car cig lighter? Heat it up, Drop it in and get ready to cough!Just throw it in an herb vaporizer.
I know were all about vape here but if your like me and dont have a nice herb vape than I would throw in in my bong with a pipe screen. If you dont have pipe screens you can pack a half bowl of bud than put the hash on top. Ive also had people tell me to smoke a little out the bowl and leave the ash, once the bowl is cashed flatten your ask and put it on that.
If you dont have a bong, break it up fine as you can and mix it with bud in a joint.
Haha you can also go old school and try the two hot knife tech or a needle and a cup.
I have this one. I chose it because the gasket is reversible. The gasket on the one you linked is stuck to the lid. It works great by the way.are pyrex vac chambers a good way to go? Im comparing these, looks like a relatively cheap option

Im looking at the vac chamber you mentioned here. Can you place this on a griddle to heat it while it purges as well I keep seeing mixed reviews some ppl say you can't put pyrex on a griddle so how else could it be heated to the right temp?I ordered this one to canada fm amazon and it works great http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KCXZULE/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_3p_dp_1
I had a 3cfm (not one of BVV's) and hated it... too long to achieve -26 max, too noisy, and only single stage. Ended up ordering this CPS 6cfm 2-stage and love it http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002YKAZ0Y/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_3p_dp_1 (but this one I picked up at the border to get free shipping as the weight made shipping direct the same as the pump lol).
Look at my pic. The chamber sits on a wire rack in the skillet. Then water added to the skillet. It has been suggested to use sand instead of water but that is not for me.The other items you see there are used for precise temperature control over the skillet.Im looking at the vac chamber you mentioned here. ok great so ill go with the three quart if theres no time difference might as well go with the extra space, getting pretty excited now!I'd go with whatever is wider. Surface area is hugely important for purging. I'm guessing you won't be using a rack setup in your chamber, so you don't really gain anything with a taller chamber. Although with that pump, the difference in evacuation time between a 1.75 and 3 qt chamber is pretty insignificant (like seriously 10 seconds).
Tx for the tip! The 15800 was the most affordable choice with 2 stage in its name on amazon.. Now, if I read the descriptions, even the 3cfm robinair 15300 says it has 2 stage. I like the less noisy 2 stage feature btw:Those robinair pumps are super solid. I bought mine off craigslist from someone who used it to service ACs for years. Cleaned it up and changed the oil, and it's as good as new. I have the robinair 15600 (2 stage & 4 cfm) and tbh, you really don't need a pump this powerful for individual use. My vacuum chamber is about a gallon and the pump will evacuate it in less than a minute. Something on the smaller side will save you a decent bit coin while still working almost as well.
@killick That will be my plan. I like to hve the ability to move my concentrate on a slick sheet from one place to the other. Plus I prefer to fold and peel to collect vs scraping with a razor blade. But I read a few positive bho comments about blasting directly in the pyrex vac chamber. Experience will tell!@spoutti - would you have your product on a slicksheet in the bottom of the vessel? It would be super sucky to scrape that bowl...
This is an important post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I don't think I ever saw a "vacuum purging 101" guide online, so here's a quick lesson using DieHards pic:
The mechanics are pretty simple; maintaining stable purge conditions and tweaking time/temperature/pressure to get your ideal product is where things get complicate though!. Best of luck
- the red box is a temperature probe, you can use other methods, but keep the temp around 110° (+- 5°)
- check that chamber/concentrates are warmed up before starting the pump
- make sure the chamber seal is clean and filter valve (# 1) is closed and the pump valve (# 2) is open
- start pump and run until you hit ~ -29.5". close the pump valve (# 2) and turn off the pump.
- to drain the pressure, always use the filter valve (# 1), never the pump vale (# 2)
- IMPORTANT - When chamber is pressurized, never open the pump valve without first turning on the pump. Doing so will cause the chamber to pull vacuum oil from the pump and ruin your concentrate.
@stroonz If it is full melt, you should be good to go man. You might need to press it to get good results.i dont think using bubble will work with a concentrate pen vape. you need something that will fully melt.
you may find some vape pens for dry material that will work with bubble.
I find thermos tech messier than blasting... but to each their own. im sure there are some that would think the inverse of my opinion. Thanks a lot @Bouldorado, now the vac process seems less alien. Another big question is to use or not the thermos tech. I see less probable problems with the thermos tek. But I remember @farscaper prefering by far blasting. As of today, wich way is favored?
Good intro guide @Bouldorado
Am I mistaken in my understanding that pump oil/oil fumes can't be pulled from a 2-stage pump ? I thought <scary, lol> that the vac was created from a different area separate from the pumps oil (2nd stage)

Remember guys, that -29.5"hg depends on the barometric pressure/climate of where you're at
Also remember that -29.5"hg is appropriate in Colorado for purging butane. Anyone using a vac on other solvents will need different pressure inside the chamber (again depending on the above variables at the given location).
