Just saw Batman v Superman. I am conflicted.

It was not as bad as some reviews led me to believe it would be. But neither was it what I'd call a good movie. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was beyond awesome, gave me chills she was so cool; Batfleck was great; seeing parademons and a huge Omega was amazing.

But Snyder & Co were trying to do to much at once. And I feel bad for Cavill- will he ever get to be a version of Superman who isn’t all grim?

And man, if they fuck up Darkseid when he finally appears Ima hunt down Zack Snyder and kick him in the nuts.

Long-ass day at Amazicon. First appearance of WonderStrangePoolWoman at a con. Here I is enthroned as Empress of the Klingons.
Entered a cosplay competition for the 1st time. Not really surprisingly, won Most Original (it ain't like there are other Wonder Woman/Strange/Deadpool mashups around, especially with a Bea Arthur pantied crotch).

I dug the new captain america. I've always really disliked the civil war story line so I went into it a little biased, but I still ended up liking it. I could nitpick on some stuff, but I'm just glad it was so entertaining.

News from Awesomecon. John Barrowman and his sister are writing a new Torchwood comic book, where we'll be told how Captain Jack turns into the Face of Boe. Also, he says any rumors about his return to Doctor Who are untrue. He could be lying, but he tends to say 'no comment' when he's under a nondisclosure agreement.

Also saw Kevin Smith, who says he is likely directing another episode of The Flash next season.

And have some cosplay pics. Ran into a Francis when I was in my WorfPool gear. Ran into a Fry & Bender while WonderStrangePoolWoman. And picked up gear for a Captain PeggyPool costume.

That's awesome news, I've always wanted to find out more about that. It's too bad it won't be on a dr who or torchwood episode though. You and Bender look great. I'm going to have to remember that Fry one, that looks easy.

Premiered Captain PeggyPool (Captain America, Peggy Carter, Deadpool) at a con last weekend. Performed a lovely dance to Careless Whisper during the costume show.

Technically me and HeMan Deadpool make 4 characters- Deadpool, HeMan, Wonder Woman, Doctor Strange. Or maybe six - those four plus the resultant HeManPool and WonderStrangePoolWoman.

Ha ha, I totally missed Bea Arthur's face on there. What an amazing detail to add, very Deadpool. I actually missed the red/black crocs too, another great detail.

I can't believe I missed the dr strange cloak, it fits so well it just didn't register in my brain, so much red. I think I was distracted by he-man's wig. Oh and those thighs! I kept wondering if his leg muscles are fake.

The cloak really does look natural with that whole get up, don't it? I usually have an Eye of Agamotto with it too but my damn chain for it broke that morning.

Though HeManPool was quite muscular, I'm pretty sure he padded his thighs.

On the subject of actual comic books- DEAR LORD, just finished reading Geoff John's Green Lantern run, including Blackest Night, which may be the best crossover ever written. And I'm a Marvel fan saying this. If you haven'd done so, go read his Lantern starting with Green Lantern Rebirth. It is GLORIOUS.

Got me so hyped I'm working on my first non-Deadpool cosplay in decades- a Klingon Red Lantern. Mask is done. Have a Red Lantern and ring. Working on a lighted Red Lantern symbol for my chest and a glowing red batleth (which is easily the most work).
