2) Some customers receive damaged or broken units. It´s a sad customer experience, we can imagine that! We do every unit with love and the same Person who builds the unit, also does the packaging. For us it´s also a really sad experience, especially for the artist. We pack every unit so that you could throw it from 3 meters onto concrete floor or kick it like a football. UPS obviously does even harder, below a photo of what is possible, the package arrived wet and completely damaged. We will improve our packaging in future so we can make it even safer. And maybe waterproof ...

3) If whatever goes wrong... give us a chance to correct it and talk to us about your issue. Working with ceramics is very special, the clay and the glaze are "living products" they sometimes behave differently due to the same conditions as before.
I hope that you find a better packing solution than just layer and layer of bubble wrap, because that is not working. I was so heartbroken to have that gorgeous Ancient Berserker arrive with that crack running around where the heater met the rest of the body. Maybe some cut foam inserts for more support and immobilization? Along with something that goes in the chamber between heater and body to remove as much possible stress at that weak point as possible?

That vape was a piece of art. For it to show up cracked after that 2 month wait was a punch in the gut.

Whatever packing solution Collyland can come up with has got to play nice with customs. Customs is very good at unboxing, but not as good at re-boxing the devices the careful way they were packed/shipped by Daniel and the rest of the team. I am sure most of the damage is happening during or after the customs process, and it is a tough one to figure out with devices that need care in handling and packing, but are begging to be inspected because they defy the normal order of things -- ceramic vases with removable chambers and wires coming out are on the shortlist even if they aren't identifiable as vaporizers.

About your ancient beserker -- so sorry, that was a real beauty for sure. ;(

Yes indeed, customs is a problem. The bubble wrap looses stability if you re-use it. Some customs eployees just seem to hate cannabis related products and they do a shitty repacking job by purpose. Nevertheless it is our problem and we will have to deal with it.
We had another case where the FDA told UPS to destroy our parcel because it contains "drug paraphernalia" :freak:

Perhaps shipping it in a box not covered in images of Marijuana leaves might be a good start?

any mini's or oabs in the pipeline? I'm looking to cop but want something small as I don't have a lot of space and a few more vapes to fit in :)

currently not. during winter season we don´t produce oab´s at all. due to the high humidity the clay needs much longer to get dry compared to the vapbong shape. also no mini´s for at least next 3-4 months.

I understand you're busy with full units, but do you foresee ever producing bongs again? I would love to get one some day.

It will take a while because we are indeed very busy producing the vaporizers but some day there will be a special series of dabbing-bongs. Of course they are also suitable for "regular" bong use. Please don´t ask me to schedule

I'm lucky enough to own a VB and an OAB and during this transition period I'd like to offer some feedback: the ball dish could use improvement.

Its design seems like an afterthought and both of mine are so wobbly it doesn't give me a sense of confidence setting the ball down. There's no right way to sit the two together so that the dish and bowl are flat or secure.

I realize it's a minor thing but I still think it's important since either of my Collyland vapes would be useless if I broke the ball.

I'm not looking for any user suggestions about keeping everything safe; I'm just saying one of the admittedly minor parts that comes included with every Collyland piece is a bit of a weak solution, matching glaze notwithstanding.

Fwiw, I tried holding the ball in it but ran into the same. Since it's really a funnel I only use mine to load now. I have a low-sided, flat bottomed wooden bowl/tray thingy I set the ball in.

This thing excels as a loader: I use it to hand-break buds into and to load just about every bowl and brick I own!

Edit: O'Connell: we need a Vapbong tray with a spot for ball, vape, and loader!

Yeah, it is not a ball dish, this:

I wouldn't try to put the ball bowl in the dish, it's not designed for that, it is only designed to be a loading funnel for the ball bowl (and it works for loading other vapes I have too). I agree it would be nice if they all sat level and didn't wobble on the table, but some are that way because they are rounded so that the dish can serve better as a funnel...

Yeah I don't think that the dish was designed to hold the ball... but I do agree, if the dish could be improved to hold the ball better, it could double function as a funnel/ball holder. Or ship them with 2 separate ones, a ball holder and the funnel.

My dish is difficult to use as a funnel because it has the cobblestone glaze. Little bits and shit get stuck in the cracks, its much easier for me to just scoop out of my grinder and into the ball. Personally I think I would have liked to get a smooth dish instead of the cobblestone because of this. That said, I realize I still can, but I've settled into my scoop-into-ball I probably would never use the dish anyway

It was designed as a filling cup only. Some people have shaky hands because of a disease and with this "tool" it´s easier to load the herb chamber.
You can also store a weighed amount of herbs on the cup if you go by weight

Well that certainly explains the hole! I don't recall it ever being called anything but a dish so I'm glad I brought it up

Oh yeah I pretty much am always calling it the loading funnel dish, or loading dish here, just "dish" alone is not descriptive at all lol

Something like a baoding balls case would be cool but my guess is the Collyland balls are bigger

Balls too big to fit mine. Bummed as it was almost perfect.

Dry hits!
After a cleaning session of vinegar and baking soda, I
usually take some dry hits with a used Keurig filter
stuffed into the downstem.
Smooth, effortless pulls without all the chugs and water vibrations.
I love hitting it wet and that's how I usually do it, but wake and bake
dry hits, like now, are novel and effective.

I've always used cranberry extract in my water which I dump after two days.
