The real one and the fake one are the same thing other than the differences you posted above, same for the microG. One isn't better than the other, they are all Ovale Elipse E-Cigs with cloud/GPen branding and different color button lights. There are no "good" reviews because everyone's breaks a few weeks after using it. The sad part is that some people buy it and get stuck buying replacement atomizers for $25 rather than a pen designed for concentrates with a legit warranty because they don't have the money to keep buying new pens. I'd say any good review was posted before two weeks of use.

I just recommend to you do NOT buy it from Ebay there are great websites with reviews selling cloud pens ... I got mine from epuffstore.com 6 months ago still works like ROCK .. their cloud pen is just 29 bucks!

I'm interested in trying out the Cloud. I purchased an Atmos Thermo W from my LHS and after about a week the battery melted at the contacts and the atomizer actually split in half down the sides. Recieved a warranty replacement(which actually cost me like 25 bucks or so, I forget) and that did the same thing. I hear the batteries on the Cloud are actually stronger and better made and are less resistant to that problem, anyone know if that's true?

I also wonder if the atomizer bursting was a result of oil falling deep into the atomizer, as a result it also leaked out of the breathing holes?

One more thing, anyone familiar with the trade in policy? It still costs $35 as opposed to $60 so if it takes a few weeks to turn the whole thing around, I'd almost rather just purchase it full price, ya know? Just curious. Thanks.

All the batteries are the same, theyre probably all manufactured at the same facility somewhere in china and then sent off to all the companies selling them...even if you get a working battery with no issues, like @DubCRider mentioned, the coils only last a few weeks tops. Although i am intrigued by the medgrade cloudpenz coil. Bigger deeper bowl and a Ti coil, but its most likely grade5 Ti which i would pass on. my advice would for a cheaper more reliable alternative Dabbler, Dr. Dabbler, or the Kiss cartridge with an ophos from w9tech

Those are great prices too, but one of these pens ebay is fine too. These companies are notorious for horrible customer service so its not like your gaining anything buying from an actual store. My buddy got a microG off ebay for 20$ less than on that website, the coils still lasted they same amount of time as mine did bought directly from microG and his batteries are still going where as mine both died out on me and were ineligable for a replacement due to time

I already have a Dabbler, although it is definitely not cheaper than the Cloud! But I really loved the Thermo W honestly and if the Cloud was a beefed up version I would definitely be all over it. Maybe I should just do the trade in after all just to try it out.

I do have a Volcano Lavatube if I can ever find a good 510 cartridge for my QWISO

Could be many reasons for the price drop and still be legit, they could also be knock offs.

All these cheaper pens, atmos, cloud, gpens etc... Are all made at one to a couple factories in china and then rebranded for whatever company. Its not that hard for someone to find the factory and purchase a bulk supply, eliminating the middle man and therefor reducing the cost.

They all have crappy warranties and poor customer service anyway, so ebays not that bad of an option. Id feel much better wasting $60 on a crappy product than $160 even if that means no warranty with it.

We're in the midst (or worse, just the beginning) of a move by many half assed companies to convert e-cigs to herb vaporizers. It's going to be a huge mess and probably do more harm than good for the vape movement. IMO even a lot of the models that actually work with mj won't hold up and/or be cost effective over time.

A good way to put it imo. That's why we don't carry them. To get a real (actual vapor) hit off a pen sized battery is going to take a lot more figuring out. Although, if you don't mind a very small hit, it is possible.

Did you ever have any luck with the cloud? I am thinking of buying one but I only use dry herb. Is this vape good for that?

Don't. It's garbage. It won't vape herb. Just combust. Save your money and buy a better vape that you will actually be happy with. Plenty of options On here. Just look around and read the reviews.

I picked up one of these a few days ago after trying a buddies briefly and thinking it was ok. I am pretty disappointed but I probably should have read here before buying it. Here is what I think is the problem with it.

When you very first fill up the little oil-pit the pen seems to hit very nicely for a while. I got several nice hits. But then I noticed the taste was getting really bad and burnt. I took off the top and lit the coil to watch. Its pretty clear that due to the design, the oil is actually retreating *AWAY* from the heating element and fiber wick and sticking to the furthest/coldest part of the little chamber. The same thing that makes it easy for us to remove oil from a warm dabber is at play here.

It will still vape the oil even though it is pretty far from the coil but only when the coil gets glowing red hot. At that point its just burning the crap out of whatever residue happens to be left in the fibers and it is vaping the actual oil by indirect heat. That seems like a really bad way to go IMO as the thing only hits clean when the oil-pit is full to the brim. The rest of the time who knows what crazy level of oxides those glowing coils put off. Even when I practically fill the entire chamber it seems to inconveniently empty directly around the coil first and then just taste terrible shortly after.

Somebody needs to build a pen that actually has a cartridge designed to reflow the oil to the heating element automatically. Like with a secondary heating source.

I had some luck heating the metal rim of the cloud oil-pit with a torch from far away and then watching the oil go back down into the bottom area.

So are there any other pens besides the Omicron that actually work reliably? I had the Omi before and did not like it either. Seemed way too difficult to use with shatter IMO.
