Aw, you guys are lifesavers!! I have had my cloud pen for about seven months now, and, til recently, the only thing I didn't like about it was that it leaked when I was traveling, which is pretty defeatist. I broke the wire in the cart and really didn't want to go through cloud. Now I'm gonna get the Atmos carts, and I will be happy once again.
I was one of those who received an apple like package with no information on use or cleaning. I work in a dispensary and purchased it through a wax vendor who had an extra one on her. I contacted them via facebook and they seemed cool, said they would mail out an information card, etc. I was pleased with the customer service but -Never happened. They contacted me four months? later and said they had the info up on their website. Their tone had seemed to change, but I was pleasantly happy they had contacted me; felt like they still cared. I checked the website and found that I had been taking proper care of my utensil, and that was great...then the battery died like two days later.
And that's when the whole fucking thing changed and after reading through this thread and seeing the bullshit posts they put up, I thought I'd share
my experience with cloudvapes.com
They have a lifetime warranty, which I can assume is because it has a watch battery operating it, and they don't want you to know it's probably easily replaced by using a special tool equivalent to a paperclip. But that's just sarcastic speculation on my part, and frankly I don't mind spending $10 every seven months to keep it up; cheaper than buying a new one. I was told via facebook that replacement takes apprx 2-3 days after receiving the defective part. I filled out the RMA, printed it out, mailed it in with tracking, and waited. The next day I received a scripted response from someone who clearly didn't understand ...anything. I'm in the same area, so I expected a pretty quick turn around. A week later, I'm writing them back wondering where is my effin battery?! Two seconds later, my bf walks in with it. They sent it, not to the address specified on the RMA, but to the origin address from the shipping information. So I sent them another message wondering what was the fucking point of the RMA? And maybe they should specify actual practices on their website. So later I receive a response, again, from someone who had the mental acuity of space rock. I'm a pretty chill person most times, and I understand they've blown up and are probably way over capacity, and, obviously, ability, but I have my limits.
I was so mad at them, but so excited to have my pen back that, while I was cleaning it, I TOTALLY BROKE THE STUPID WIRE!! I did NOT want to have to go back through them to get a replacement.
So, thanks again.
tl;dr: it's a love hate cloud relationship, shitty c/s but with a lifetime warranty, can mix parts -it's all the same, thanks fuckcombustion
I agree that it shouldn't however every single pen that I've tried had vapor coming out of a clean, brand new pen. There is always something in those filaments, which will go away if you take enough hits (the cannacig took at least 100 hits to clear out whatever was in there).
That entire filament technology is worthless if you're trying to use wax or flowers. Maybe the liquid gold stuff works, but I've never tried it.
Pretty sure they cover it in glycerin, which is totally harmless, but helps to protect the integrity of the cart. Kind of like greasing a pan.
If you want to share your vaporizing experience with friends/roommates frequently then I would recommend you buying a plug in vaporizer by Vapor bros or by Volcano that way you don't burn out you vape pen.
I've had no problems with large bowls or sharing and battery life with good care. Once you have more smoke than vape, it's time to clean, no matter how much reclaim you have. Though you could prolly still put it on flowers, if you want to conserve. Then if you find you're too heavy handed to scrape, just use alcohol and burn off what you can't dissolve.
