Hi! So glad I found this forum, I just joined!
My two cents, apologies for length. More like my ten cents.
I have owned two cloud pens now (only because I lost the first one, due to it's double-edged-sword of a size... small enough for a pocket, small enough to lose haha) and just love them!!
Granted it is my first concentrate vape but here are my pros and cons so far.
Pros:
-Discreet size and appearance. I put mine in my bra since my jeans pockets tend to be shallow and I can't sit down without it slipping out. I am sure man-sized pockets would be more than adequate though. It has a sleek sexy look to it, and to the untrained or unaware eye it looks like some sort of those e-cigs (and not worth a second glance). And it comes in fun pretty colors! (I've had matte silver and matte black. It also looks like it comes in red, blue, green, white, baby pink, and chrome silver. I really want the red one!)
-The two I've had have seemed to have long battery lives so far, I only have to charge it every few days unless I'm using it a lot.
-The charging cable is a USB to wall socket plug, so I can charge at my computer or any wall outlet
-The fact that it's battery heated, not butane or other methods. No filling, no waiting for it to heat up.
-I'm sure it's the same for all concentrate vapes but a little wax goes a long way, so I feel it's more economical than flowers. Not to mention a lot cleaner/neater, without grinding shavings or ABV to deal with.
-The replaceable cart, both for normal use as well as repair. If you have several of them and dedicate one strain to one cart it's great to be able to switch between strains without mixing effects (I don't like any sativa effects at bedtime and keep a dedicated heavy indica cart for that reason). Also nice to quickly change different concentrate types. Cheap (well cheaper than buying a new pen), easy to remove (I can usually pull it with my fingers, or gently use pliers with cloth wrapped around them), and makes me feel less guilty if I ruin one by overloading it or break the coil by shoving wax in too hard.
-They also sell replaceable batteries (the whole bottom part), in all the colors. Would be fun to mix and match the battery and the mouthpiece for a new look.
-Even if it runs a little hot and produces a nice big cloud of vape the outside never feels super warm to the touch. No way to burn anything, unless it's down in the cart chamber area.
-Like someone else mentioned earlier in the thread, there's virtually little to no learning curve. But please learn from my mistakes: I broke the coil once by being too rough when I was trying to scrape the wax off the sides and down into the center. I also once broke it by using too much of a too gooey wax. But luckily those were both just the cartridge part that broke, got new ones easily for I think maybe $10 each from local dispensaries. Other than that it's pretty simple to master. Just bush button, inhale!
-The price tag. It looks like it goes usually from $60-$75 online or in shops (except for the expo deals which seem to be even cheaper), and with so many replaceable parts one can rebuild it as parts die or break; or, at that price, it may be an affordable "semi-disposable" option for many.
Cons:
-Although it comes in a nice sturdy box, it doesn't come with any detailed instructions, tips, or cleaning/storing instructions. Their website doesn't either.*
-Charging cord is kind of short (esp. if plugged in while using)
-My first charging cable's outer coating separated from the ends, leaving wires exposed a little (not like copper showing, just the red coating on the wire). It works just fine, who knows maybe I tugged it somehow but I feel it should be a teeny bit more sturdy. Haven't used the new power cord yet so hopefully they've fixed that issue already.
*After finding no cleaning instructions on their website, it was my resulting google search for the Cloud that led me to this thread, and persuaded me to join. So glad I did, thanks for all the great info and tips!
TL : DR
I have used nothing but the Cloud for a while now. My other vaporizers lie in the closet, lonely and unused. I just prefer the cleaner wax over messy flowers. I really adore the Cloud's size, simplicity, looks, and parts replace-ability. A sturdier charger/cable would be nice but other than that I would highly recommend the Cloud to anyone. For the price it was worth finding out for me
