I actually really like the slitted perc, it's a bit like the CCG D-Cycler perc and is fairly effortless use!

So on the topic of refunds I ordered 2 fc 187s seperately and the first came with a hole on the weld for the mouthpiece and the second had a crack going around half of the weld that can be felt from the outside of the glass. I contacted him about the first one with the hole and he offered a 5 percent off which I thought was a lititle low but I never responded since I wasn't sure if I would even want to order any more from him. But the second one I actually didon't notice the crack until after using and still haven't contacted steven because I've just been too lazy tbh. So my question to other members is do you think thsee two faulty welds should give me more than 5 or 10 percent to maybe 20 25 percent or perhaps if you think a replacement with my next order is a reasonable request? I'm looking at the FC 1000 for my next order

Since you are already planning on the FC 1000 you should ask for him to send a replacement with your next order @wildything . Just make sure to tell him that you are a member of FC and provide evidence of the problem

A replacement is more than a reasonable request. Contact him about the second, and there should be no issues. Two broken pieces is definitely more than enough reason to get a single replacement. I'm surprised he only offered 5%.

I know for example smokecartel would give you 20% discount on a damaged rig. 5% is really low considering american vendors will give you 20%....but the 20% is probably = to 5% chinese cause of the low prices they have less margin of profit perhaps...I don't know...I bet he would give you more if he could...

All seem really decent on price and can't beat the quality...I have rigs from other sellers and they aren't even close to this level....I will be saving my money for more of stevens for sure...Just need some good ash catchers...anyone have good luck with ash catchers off there?

Steven sends out a large volume of products that are not quite right. His prices are quite a bit more than the likes of Sunshine Store. The guy seems to think he is doing you a favour by sending you a functional piece. His QC record is very low imo.

I am one for two with Steven. FC-187 is great, FC-UFO v1 had stress cracks. The FC-UFO functions so he called it a quality piece. They have offered to send me a replacement for it, but I must break it and send them a picture prior to them shipping a new one. While I know this is, at times, a common request... I am leery that the next one could be worse.

Although they are almost the same piece THEY ARE NOT THE SAME PIECE!!
I don't recall who bought which design forth, and honestly at this point don't care. I do recall much debate over the two pieces. I never EVER liked this design, no disrespect intended to the designer. It just wasn't for me. I made damn sure to be careful when ordering to not mix it up. And I'd like to say the one he sent with the mouthpiece off the top gets splashback when clearing. I'm sure the one I actually ordered doesn't do that. My Damn EVO is all in my face thanks to the mouthpiece hovering over the tube. I've done enough trial and error with glass to know what not to buy at this point, and I'd have never bought this piece because it doesn't fit the vape I bought it for. I could tell that looking at it in pics from China, I didn't need to get it all the way here to figure that out!! ON top of that I ordered 2pieces at the same time. I got a tracking number and assumed both had been mailed at the same time. So i get the package not only is it the wrong piece, it's an incomplete order!! NO STRAIGHT FAB!!! As i'm complaining to him in an email, I get a tracking number for the straight fab. How did I not get informed it would be two separate orders over a week apart? I'm beyond pissed! So after contacting Steve he offered a 30-40% refund, which he never specified which. I told him that's not reasonable because ITS NOT WHAT I ORDERED!! I don't want a partial refund i want what i ordered. He laughed it off literally with a "he he he",and recommended i keep the piece he sent since its in "high qualtity" and take a 30-40% refund. Then he informed me it was midnight in China and he had a very big customer coming to his shop tomorrow so he had to go. I'm honestly cool with his remedy since the piece i got does work, but to be honest I don't like this design its just ugly compared to the one i ordered. Overall at least Steve tried to somewhat remedy the problem. I would've sent it back but I'm afraid shipping would be more than i paid for the piece and shipping. Oh well

My initial thoughts were this is unacceptable. I honestly just don't care for the hassle because I'm battling a bug. Yesterday i had more fight over the issue. Today I'm just too weak

I've had great luck with the showered recycler ash catcher from kathy! Honestly the only one that looks even remotely worth it...

The disparity between when DHGate says an item has been shipped and when the tracking # indicates the item has been actually accepted is starting to really annoy me. Anyone?

My fc-186 has said shipped on dhgate since 5/21 and the tracking number says accepted 6/1

I like where this idea is going and the simplicity of it. Perhaps steven could make a prototype to test the function. But why not make a vortex functioning recycler with the matrix or stereo matrix perc. I'm thinking a kliein or d cycler look

While o think it's nice that steven allowed fc members to choose from the 2 different style mouthpieces, I also think it's unacceptable for them to send the exact model you were trying to avoid. I had a problem when I made a change to an order over the phone with a head shop that was sending me a glass piece. I asked for a 18 to 18mm downstem and 18mm bowl instead of the standard 14 18mm downstem and 14mm bowl so that I could use this pice with my Evo without any adapters. So they sent me the standard downstem and bowl. I called them when I got it and he was very apologetic sicne it was his fault and he sent me the downstem and bowl I wanTed witbout even asking for the others Sent back. Now even thought these items were just the accessories they valued probably about 50 to 60 if bought seperately. So yea I would want a replacement for the actaul item you ordered and hopefully they will step up their shipping game lol

He should make it with the aesthetics of the new Mobius stuff. Hell he should make the binary matrix.

Was a couple towns away this afternoon running some errands and stopped into the local head shop. Lots of glass; I was impressed. As I worked my way around the counter the guy was unboxing Chinese bubblers, straight from dhgate I'm sure 'cause I recognized a lot of what he had from seeing it here. Didn't have prices for them yet, but from what he suggested, there will be around a x3 mark up (he was guessing around between 85 and 100 for D020 models. It will be a tough decision: go check it out directly, make sure it's a good piece and buy it then and there (no shipping / delivery worries) or save the $ and a) wait and b) be nervous about the condition of the piece once it arrives.

Just to chime in on returns on bad orders, I ordered some high quality expensive vitamins a week ago. My kids have been using them for years and I've always bought them directly from the manufacturer. This time I balked and bought them at a different site with free shipping which saved me $10. When they arrived it was obvious that the quality control was off; the capsules weren't sealed as completely as the are when buying directly from the manufacturer. So I called. Man, the customer service was as apolgetic as could be and two-dayed us a new batch at no charge. In fact, they offered to refund 50% of the original batch, which I declined. Don't want to steal from them. Just want what I ordered. That's how good businesses succeed. Not by hook or by crook…
