Diameter of the base is 4" and the can is 65mm. It's 8" tall so yup, super bottom heavy piece that pairs perfectly with my 14mm female gong and enano / perfect enail piece for sure.
Agreed, the regular tree percs with open ended arms are bunk and don't function at all. I have a showerhead to regular tree perc straight tube and only like it because the tree is worked (and reinforced so it won't break), diffusion wise it's pointless and adds a lot of drag. The "shrub" style perc is a drastic change and has a unique hit that I find more enjoyable then most of my favorite percs (showerhead, gridded inline, matrix), doesn't stack as much as those but diffuses as smoothly and has better flavor.
Indeed. Traditional tree percs have to be perfectly level to function properly, which often isn't even possible when you're hitting it off of a desk, and especially isn't if it's being passed around. And the chug introduced by multiple trees is too damn high, imo. Shrubs are more durable and have a better function all around, they make lots of little bubbles instead of just letting big chuggy bubbles out of one side.
I need to pick up one of these yingmin rigs:

I was looking at a similar one a while back but didn't want it to say Roor, when it so clearly isn't remotely related to them.
Also, I don't really want to associate myself with their brand, as I see it as yet another excuse (really, the original excuse I guess) to sell ignorant people overpriced glass. Though it looks like they've actually restructured their pricing now that there are a billion better blowers out there. Still ~500 for a straight tube is insanity as far as I'm concerned.
As for DHG sellers putting Roor labels on pieces that don't look remotely like Roors, why? I mean, if you're going to go the counterfeit route, at least slap a Toro tag (or the tag of whoever the design was taken from originally) on there, that would at least be a bit more believable. All those counterfeit logos do is make me look elsewhere though, I'm on DHG because I don't like paying for a brand name. /rant
Have some cool news for anyone interested in getting a female d-cycler. I've been checking out this
d-cycler with a wigwag slapped on it from Ephan. We had some trouble communicating at first, but I sent him this photo and he said he's down. I think I'm going to order one this week or next and will let you all know how it goes. Sounds like he'd also be willing to do 18mm joints and standard female d-cyclers without the wigwag, though you might need to photoshop an image to convey what you want to him.
Mannn. There are way too many promising pieces out there at the moment. The matrix pillar looks amazing, as do the new vids for Steven's straight fab and taurus clones.
And it's all so affordable when you consider what American manufacturers are charging for more or less the same rigs! Also, I'm really tempted by these
wigwag honey buckets, but the manufacturers still haven't gotten the memo that borosilicate != good nail material.
Back in the day
we had no choice but to risk hot borosilicate in our laps, but those days are long gone, and I'm sure not looking to bring them back. Also, if they're making a worked honey bucket, I think it only makes sense to offer a matching worked ofz cap. Just my
. Still, I'd be very happy to buy one of these (or 2 if necessary) provided I could find a good quartz or titanium swing arm to replace the boro one.
Has anyone seen any vendors actually selling these titanium swing arms, or are they just click bait?
I asked CCG if they could source titanium or quartz arms and they said no, at least for now.
Anyone know if these Hyman
swing arms would fit the new CCG worked buckets?
