Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I did get quite a reduction whennordering 3pieces. Add them to your cart, proceed to checkout and stop when asked to pay. Then send them, in this case Mike, a message to ask for combined shipping.

The piece mentioned above did pass by somewhere before in this thread and got good reviews. It is smaller then it looks in the pictures, is what I remember from it.

I'm a machinist and I buy titanium occasionally, it is not that expensive, it retails around $35.00/lb. so wholesale has to sell for less, and you can make at least five nails or more with a pound.
Having said that, I don't know if the Chinese are using pure titanium, if you ever want to take the risk it is very easy to find out the purity of it, just find a large recycling plant in your neighborhood and they'll tell you whether it is pure or not, they should have hand held equipment for that.
And about G2 being superior to the other three pure grades, don't buy into the hype, all four grades are good, there's less than 1% difference between them, so my question is this: what makes G2 better than G1, if purity is a factor them G1 should be a better choice, don't you think?
Don't have to answer the question, this should be asked in a different forum, just wanted to state my opinion.
The info i've read says other grades contain Aluminum and Vanadium in amounts significant enough to pose a health risk if heated enough. I've also read the Chinese are using Ti from surplus Russian aircraft, and that
it is not grade 2.

Grades 1,2,3,4 have the same elements in different quantities, they are the only ones considered pure, none of them have aluminum nor vanadium, which is mostly used in the steel industry as a strengthener (vanadium).
All the pure titaniums have impurities in them in the form of gasses that are safe for consumption, like Oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen, and also small amounts of iron and carbon, all safe.
Grades 5 and up are the ones with unsafe metals, and I know of at least one USA manufacturer using it (Cosmic).
All pure grades are safe and are not that expensive to buy, and since China's labor is so cheap I don't see why can't they produce pure Ti nails at a reasonable price.

I'd really like to know your thoughts concerning the different nails. Do any of them work better/worse than another? Someone mentioned the center tube height as a problem, but you do not find it so? The 12 hole - does it provide an advantage? It has a lot of material, and is large, so it should retain heat well. How about for small dabs, any winners there?

Also, my order from Kathy has reached the US (ordered on the 7th). Considering their holiday on Monday, that's pretty good. Hoping to get it this week

I will give you more info and my thoughts on this tonight when I get home from work.

Good to know! Thank you for sharing that info. I knew ti was cheap but not that cheap :)

Thank you for the tip about the recycling plant. I am assuming you are referring to them having an XRF laser gun ?

I went to get a $15 china nail tested using gas chromatography and the place wanted $115 per nail, plus they had to cut up the nail to test a flat piece so I politely declined and decided to only buy brand name since China TI is still a mystery to me.

Anyone have any experience with this guy? http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/wp-1095-two-functions-hand-blown-glass-vase/177109410.html

Seems like it could be fun, and I really like how it looks. I'm just not convinced that the $50 ($25 shipping) is worth it.

I have that one but mine was from thickqualityglass and it is much larger. It pulls really nicely but for $75 I would go with the gb-194. That pieces is amazing!

It is funny to me. All too often people say China/Chinese products are too cheap to be using quality materials... and skepticism grows of their products.

Ironic how the reaction is rarely "Holy Shit, I cannot believe how much Corporate America is screwing me on XXX."

Is it simply an American assumption that there is added value to paying more?

Yes, you are right about XRF, and they will check the nail for free, that's what they do all day long to separate all different metals, so the hand held XRF is always with them.

I remember finding a piece on Aliex a while back with an upside down tree perc, I wonder if that was what they were trying to attempt, the tubes were not angled at the sides like the sprinkler version, it just appeared as if they installed the tree perc upside down.

Haha awww fail, ya I've seen those mistakes too and wonder if it's intentional.

Exactly... I'm trusting the glass is decent enough to use for the price, why not the titanium? And who knows if all these "USA" branded nails are actually made in the US? They could easily be old recycled titanium we sent to China and they send us back a nail. I like spending my money for buying herb and not for spending it all on a piece of glass to use it out of.

Just a guess, but as we have heard in the news, some Chinese manufacturers are unscrupulous, and use the whatever they can get their hands on, regardless of the consequences.

To some extent, yes, I have seen that with other items as well. To each his own of course. Sometimes people have just never tried the better Chinese made stuff, and dismiss it out of hand.

See above. It certainly could be made from quality materials, as Mestizo mentioned, but apparently is not, as we see reports of Chinese Ti nails corroding, and behaving differently than known grade 2. Newvape is a great example of a company offering lower prices on documented grade2 nails, for a reasonable price.

That is true, and I have never bought a Chinese Ti nail because I make my own, but if I didn't have the abilities to do that, I'll buy one and have it tested, for that price I'll risk it, of course I would not use it until I was 100 % sure it was pure.

Chaque jour est une chance

Hey,
I've got a similar glass filter, bought on AliExpress because of cheaper shipping costs (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/glass-Pinnacle-Pro-Vaporizer-Vaporblunt-Vapor-blunt/1859868738.html). Dont pay attention to the pictures, the slits on the "anti-splashback" are the same than on your link in reality.
It works ok, but it's so small that I would rather a bigger water filter. (I'm using it with a solo).
I bought it for 13$ (3 weeks ago) maybe you can try to negociate with the seller. He's been raising his price almost every week from there (13 then 15, then 18$).

Can we assume ceramic is safer?

I am not sure the safety factor is much to worry over.

The nominal amounts of by-products ---caused specifically from your nail and not other factors like your material--- that might possibly be consumed really can't quantified as posing any real threat... yet; time will tell.

The sad part, is there probably have not been any studies into the subject.

When you say ceramic, the first thing that comes to mind are the white color ceramic nails being sold online of which few people know what they are made of.
Ceramic is a word used to describe several compounds that have very little relationship with each other, for example: Macor makes ceramic which it shatters with heat and has borosilicate as one of the ingredients, Alumina on the other hand is heat resistant and is made out of aluminum oxide (very strong by the way), Greenleaf makes ceramic tool cutters with tungsten in them that become harder with heat, all three are called ceramic but there's almost no relationship with each other.
As far as safety goes, I haven't studied the subject because I don't even know what's on the nails being sold out there for the purpose of dabbing.
I also saw the picture if the titanium nail above that you want to buy, I'll say go ahead and I'll tell you where to go to have it test it for free, if you want, you are in So Cali right?

I would get a new nail however I'm freaked out?

I have a pile of glass ones I use however the dome is stupid.
A dome less makes the most sense?

You say get this one I posted and have it tested at a recycling center?
I'm in the OC!
