Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Yes, that's exactly right, the Dewar joint was recessed, but that was not the problem, the joint itself was oval due to (my guess) too much heat when doing the weld.
Pictures won't really show much, but I shot a video and sent it to Yingmin, on the video I was blowing into the mouthpiece while holding the bowl in the joint and dish soap around it, and you could see bubbles all around, every time I blew on it. It was a bad seal, and as far as I'm concerned I'm the only person who has received one with this particular problem, so I shouldn't be worried about it if I were you, my replacement was really well made and I can't believe the small amount of money I paid for such a great piece of glass.

If you mean a link to the video, it was shot with my Iphone and I email it to him. I confess I'm not computer literate, If anybody PM me with instructions on how to post it, I'll have no problem.
Link so I can buy whatever your talking about?

Wholesale - new come glass ash catch with honey comb percolator 18.8mm with two clip

Less than $30

awh shame it isn't 18mm. some cheap hydratubes for the cloud would be awesome XD

Agreed. As a glassblower, I still realize the need for lower end glass, and an affordable 19mm hydratube is definitely something the market is hurting for. Give Kathy a month and maybe we'll see one. The presence of the 14mm hydratube means they have a factory with knowledgeable workers, and there's zero reason why the couldn't do the same thing in a 19mm setup. Some American or European glassworker probably got paid in lobster and hookers to divulge all these techniques, but that's another story.

That being said, I hardly use my Hydratubes and much prefer a tabletop bubbler. :2c:

Seperate question for you guys, from someone who hasn't looked at this thread in about 1/4 of a year: how many points of diffusion does the D020-D offer? It's hard to tell from the photographs.

Ok here is a video of the DO-Q. I have broken my no video rule by doing this. I hope it is helpful. Also, in regards to a few questions being asked it is taller than the DO-20 but much smaller than something like a GB-186. The glass is thick enough. It looks strong. It does not take much to get it going. There is a small delay while the tornado forms but it only requires a smooth pull similar to the other D0-20 series. Actually, the neck and can look the same as the Do-20-T

First time poster, long time lurker. Thanks so much for the wealth of knowledge and the simply awesome vids.

Just thought I'd throw this in the mix. My LHS has lots of DHgate pieces. Last night I stopped by to find knockoff Hamm Exo-diffys for 89.99. That is typically what they charge for dhgate's 20.00-30.00 pieces.
Keep your eyes peeled!

if you dont mind me asking what exactly is wrong with that particular piece or what would have been more ideal or realistic compared to the advertising picture? not that im worried but based of most the replies I have read, I ordered mine a couple days ago as well.. Made a bit of an effort to try and sweet talk promising a great review if the piece I got was up to par with how it was advertised. I merely got a "dont worry my friend, order now i find a good one for u" I read a few spots on this forum that one of the issues was that the joint that holds the bowl, or the dwarr joint, whatever its called can be a bit lower then expected as far as suction. Hoping it all turns out okay tho, should post pictures on your free time.

Still havent seen any tracking info although it does say shipped, really excited and I would be lying if I said I wasnt expecting a superb quality piece for the price, I am real good at taking care of my things so I'd like to think I'll have this for many years to come. If it is as advertised and not like a big mac with the photoshop edit; ill definitely recommend and buy again.

Anyone know where the cheapest places to guy glass adapters are? Haha cheap bastards I know, some are on a way smaller budget then most so dont judge assholes ^^

@xEsoteric92 calling people "assholes" on this forum isn't going to fly. Please reacquaint yourself with our rules, especially the "Be Nice" section.

@Mr. Gweilo 420 - Thanks for all your guidance on the Tornado! Just for kicks & giggles, can you make us a vid that shows the tornado action just like in the video link attached below? I think by lowering your water level a little bit, the initial chug should help to make it more controllable overall. Thanks again!!!

Nice vid and pics :D judging from the vid that appears to be a 18mm joint. I would guess playing with the water level will help fine tune the tornado action, it does get a bit turbulent once you get it going strong. It is a fun looking piece, and different than my others, so I look forward to playing around with this one.

Agreed , you can see right at the beginning of his inhale .
The Perfect tornado was forming , then it looked like @Mr. Gweilo 420
chugged too fast or the water level needed adjusting .
