No all the other slits are fine, its just the placement of the chip on this one causes only that slit to fire.

I appreciate everyones input here, makes me feel better / justified in contacting sunshine. My one concern is that I already completed the order / released the funds, but sunshine seems reasonable so I don't think there should be a problem.

They still have a bad rating you could give for what it's worth. And yeah Sunshinestore may be reasonable (might be worth mentioning you are a member here since we mention it so often to them).

I'm interested to know how much that recessed joint interferes with the LOTUS. I'm sure it negates the ability to leave in the stir stick, but does it make the WPA too, or almost too short without an extender? And the extender may make to torch too close...

Would anyone else who owns a d020-w tell me if the percs on the right side where the MP is fire first and more often? I just noticed this and thought it was just the way the air is getting pulled, but then i noticed that the slit that had a chunk out of it is the one firing the most. Im pissed.

It's hard to tell from the pics but it really does look like the slits do not go all the way through the perc.
Especially after looking at the vid.! That's a real bummer. Be the squeaky wheel!

It's just the angle of the shot. The others are fine. I can take another pic, but it's not worth doing.

I really hope I didn't just start a movement of unhappy customers... I'm afraid if everyone starts complaining that the price of pieces will have to go up to compensate for the increased rate of customer rejection.

Your right the prices will increase. Too bad you couldn't settle this directly with them. I'm sure they would have cared for you. It was fun while it lasted.

@alltoreup this looks awesome. For some reason I can only view photos with your link though. Can someone please provide a link where I can buy this now. I've got GAS pretty bad and this is just what I need.
I just don't understand why the mouthpiece connects to the can so low. If it was up higher I would be the guinea pig and place an order right now

Try it now. I fixed the link in my post. I don't know that anyone has ordered from this seller yet, so keep that in mind (someone may chime in that has)

I don't think you will. I think you have a legit complaint beyond a mere cosmetic chip or defect like most have had. It's not even use able right now IMO because it's been reduced to a 1 slit perc with potential if inhaling glass chips.

Hire a Quality Assurance Inspector and set up a Quality Process Controls Program.
That's what the Japanese did.

Now I'm done.

Why would you invest in a factory without Quality Assurance?

Did the operator use a old blade?
Should they change the blades more often?

Set up a QA program!

The operator was most likely afraid to report his screw up.
Or the Supervisor just let it go?

Most companies will pay 2% more to have QA associated with their products!

Hey, I think we're all right there with you on that one. Historically, 2% doesn't seem to happen though.
Once good quality is assured, the price goes up significantly. Usually a US retailer steps in. Not that the Chinese can't make good stuff, their approach to commerce is: copy (as cheaply as possible), and let the buyer beware :\ Witness the melamine in milk incident.
