I've tested it with water and the action is acceptable from what I can tell. I really can't be bothered packing up and sending back a $40 bubbler. What if I tell him I will keep it and pay him $20 for 189. That sounds fair to me. I have not opened a Paypal dispute as yet. I have a feeling it will be unnecessary. Maybe he sells lighters and I can learn how to do dabs.

All you need is a $30 quartz nail, a simple $15 creme brûlée torch from walmart, and concentrate. Looks like a sweet piece anyway, a shame it was not what you were looking for.

Yingmin seems like a stand up dude though, and thankfully he is eager to win all the FC business that Kathy appears to be dropping the ball on. I am sure you two will come to an agreement of sorts.;)

Every rig I've ever seen that had a male fitting never deterred me I just thought I'll have to use an adapter for that. I keep adapters since getting into glass because some of my pieces that have female fittings I still have to use adapters on due to Vaporizer to position or angle of connection. ADAPT THAT GUY MR. G 420

I thought you were talking to me for a moment. I second your push on Gweilo to get a decent set of adapters, especially a GAS sufferer :evil:. They are no big deal once you get a couple configurations you can set up almost any type of vape.

And also you can combine GLASS!!!:rockon::science: All sorts of different pieces I combine 3 different pieces that come together to form VOLTRON thanks to 2 male to male adapters

Depending on the vaporizer you use, a bit of silicone might just be all you need to connect to that 189. That is a bummer though, is the joint the only difference? Or is the perc/body different too?

Here's the post summarizing the popular GB pieces

188 is the honeycomb with a male, the 189 is the turbine with a female.

@jambandphan03 - bummer about the changing recycler and tracking # issue...the pendant piece I ordered is showing up on the china tracking sites, so I'm gonna hold out a bit longer and see how it goes....but I'm also hoping to see those pendant rigs or similar ones show up from Yingmin soon too, as he stated something to that effect earlier in the thread. Guess we'll see how it plays out.

I got the, it's taking a few days to show up in shipping response from Kathy. I'm just gonna have to wait it out I guess. Thats the nice thing about these low cost purchases, its not a huge loss if something goes wrong. Not really worth stressing over. Maybe I'll end up with 2 cool recyclers??

Just sent a message to sunshine store about my D020-D so we'll see how that goes. I asked for a partial credit on my next order and not a full refund as I dont feel the defect warrants a full refund.

I'll post some pics/slomo videos soon so you guys can see. It's really not THAT bad, but the chip is on the top of one of the slits so it does effect the functionality.

That's the thing, I REALLY like mine too! It's my most used piece now despite the defect. But I've got a G18 coming in today that may knock it from its pedestal...

Note the date. Got this the day after placing my order. Still hasn't changed. I've emailed her several times. Lots of excuses...bad storms in May...then, bad storms in April.... then package is in system on way to you....the last two responses have been package is in US and should be delivered soon (a week ago). No tracking I can find indicates anything other than what you see above. This is her rep. My piece was only $18 so not that big a deal. More of a trial ballon to see if her mode of operation had changed.

Hey everyone I have been reading for the last couple months, got myself a E-nano and D020 and I am in love. I have been combusting for the last 14 years and have had GAS for the last decade and this cheap pipe thread has really gotten the monkey off my back. I cannot wait to hear back about the 189 and some of these recyclers when you guys actually receive them. It has been so hard to resist ordering them. Has anyone successfully removed the RooR logo?
Also there was some talk of a custom FC creation, is that just a pipe dream or is this an actual possibility?

I haven't checked DHGate lately, but it looks like we are now down to mine and Mister G's 189's after Mr. Gweilo 420 received the wrong unit. I highly recommend the 187 though. I'm running an enano as well as a D020 and I keep reaching for the 187 over the D020.

The D020 is great, but I'm finding the cans on these GB lines allow for greater volume if desired.

I will definitely post a review of the 189 when I get it.

If anyone has any suggestions on removing the logo, I'll give it a try. I remember seeing a safety razor and some kind of citrus compound being recommended earlier in the thread.

My D020-W's came today. Unfortunately have a little work to do that I need to keep a clear mind for. :|

Did clean them both up so all will be ready to go later.

First impressions? Welds look a little better than my D020's. Both look a little rough where the mouthpiece connects to the can, but no cracks and both are totally airtight. The diffusers are slightly different heights from bottom of can, but they have to be next to each other to really notice. Surprised how much they look alike. I got 3 D020's at same time before. They were all noticeably different, especially sitting next to each other.

My only gripe is with the size of the mouthpiece hole. Have seen others mention it, and not too worried about it in use. Kind of like a channeled airflow sometimes, so not really a problem. But, one of mine has a REALLY small hole. Smaller than the inside the bowl hole on most of my old glass smoking spoons. The bitch (so far) is with cleaning. Takes forever to pour the water out! I always do at least 10 clear rinses after alcohol, and seemed like it took forever. On the better one, not too bad. About 10-20 seconds to dump water after full fill. The one with the smaller hole took more like 45 seconds. Don't think I'll have too much trouble deciding which one will stay at my girlfriend's!:lol:

Will see how they perform later (at least the more open one) and report back.

I've been interested in the D020-W and after hearing the complaints about the small mouthpiece hole, I wonder how hard it would be wrap some sandpaper around a tapered object and try to gradually sand the hole larger/wider. Anyone want to risk it?
