Yes it was custom made to my specifications by a professional glass blower.

I am going to not say who made the first two for me and give you the name of another who is making two more for me for less. I do encourage all to wait until I have received and inspected them before ordering. I have no reason to expect a problem but.. just saying. :) They should be here in a day or two.

Sam at http://glassblowersdirect.com/ offers them for 39.95 plus tax and shipping. It was 94.88 for the two.

I have a D020 on the way from aliexpress. I was advised to go for an ash catcher and j hook combo, can someone please tell me which I should order to go with the D020 please

Yeah. I was chatting with the toro seller last night a bit. He has no finished pieces, he was saying 15-20 days to start finishing them as they "just started production". I was trying to get a discount on shipping but he only budged $2 unless I bought 2. I then asked him if he had any pictures of a finished unit he could send me. He never responded. I would definitely want to see his "version" before considering on pulling the trigger!

Like I was saying shop around. These are mainly used in labs so quality glass shouldn't be hard to find. The ebay link was simply the first google result I found.

Went ahead and ordered a D020 from Sunshinestore. Hope this one works out!! I couldn't wait till May for arrival to LHS :ko:

Question: My Solo is arriving in a couple of days and I specifically ordered the D020 to pair with it. Do I need a "GonG" to make it work?

Need? No. Would it make like a lot easier? Probably. You can fit a Solo stem in a 14mm female joint. Id pit some silicone or something over the end to get a proper seal and prevent cracks.

Another use for the Claisen that @Caligula referenced. I had Andy at Colie glass make this gridded upline custom to fit the cloud directly or with a Claisen. The silicone ball on top makes an easy to pull stopper and seals instantly when you start hitting it. Plus I don't have a glass female stopper...and may not get one. Hits like a champ and bubbles to the top if you want it to. Interchangeable mouthpieces was the selling point for me. I like putting a jhook on top and watching the water show.

I had also asked the seller which colors are available for the piece and he said he has green and blue. All the more reason to wait and see if he at some point uses or is willing to send pictures of his finished version!

Toro rip-off or not it looks like it would be a cool piece to rip on! Saw what I believe is the original on aqualabtechnologies.com for $770.

Whats going on with those pre-order deals. Next we will see a kickstarter for a Goldstein knock off. I'd say don't support such sellers. If they can't even produce a prototype before they set up a product page thats kind of lazy and shady.
