Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I recently noticed a wanted ad for a 9mm+ thick glass piece in the classifieds and it made me think of all the cool 7mm+ pieces i've seen at my local head shops. THICK GLASS indeed! Love the thickness, the size and feel of the heavier weight, and much harder to break (except for @ataxian ofcourse)...

Is there such thing as cheap china glass that is thicker and beefier than the present (5mm?) that is so abundant on dhgate? Haven't really searched, just curious if anything stands out...i'd be willing to pay a premium for it obviously...maybe 25% or so.

I think I saw some bongs that were thicker than that, like 9 mm. So I just went back to the page I have kept open on the site since many weeks ago (page 32 of that search, fuck starting again so I just never closed the tab), and within one page I found this:
https://m.dhgate.com/product/12-inc...lass/393167178.html#s33-19-1;searl|3692527053

9 mm bong. So it didnt seem to hard to find a thick glass bong.
Personally, I think you should kit out your vape room like a padded cell, maybe serve 2 necessary purposes at the same time! ;)

:rofl:Good one bro! hahahaha.... especially for those huge dabs!

But seriously nice find man, that actually looks like a decent piece! Looks like there are many "bong" style... I guess bubbler style is more difficult to blow to 9mm.

It's not just for breakage I just like the look and feel of the quality thick glass...the hefty weight rocks.

I just try to vape mostly in my bed on my memory foam bed. Where it's nice and safe. Pieces can sit up and if they fall it's a nice foamy landing. My carpet is pretty well padded too, but if I were to do it myself I'd double up

As for cleaning, it's again glass. It's easy to clean almost no matter what. Iso bath in a bag with salt and you will get it clean. Wouldn't worry on that front. A bent neck isn't in anyway harder to clean. You simply wrap the opening with kitchen wrap, rubber band them tight, have some iso and salt in your piece and shake away. A 5 gallon of simple green cleaner is $20. Cleaning costs very very little and is super easy. Do you not current own glass? This seems like an odd concern of trying to find glass that would be "easier to clean". Unless you're looking for a piece you can literally put a brush down, you're fine....

As for how often? Depends on you I vape 3-4 times a day, and I clean not that often my pieces stay clean. Vapor is by nature quite clean so you don't get too much buildup.

Is that shit safe? I've mentioned this before but was told that it's too dangerous because it may leave a film or some shit? I guess you could ISO after... I dunno, I bought a big purple thing of HD SG but was too afraid to use it. I just use 99% ISO and it works for me.

I wanted to reply to these posts since this came up while doing additional research on Simple Green on Page 2 of my results.

I currently don't recommend Simple Green on the basis that it just hasn't really removed resin the way ISO has. Despite multiple cleanings at full strength. Without the abrasive power of SALT it's just not as good as iso/salt in my testing.

Edit:When I used simple green with salt the salt disintegrated (I'm sure someone is saying "DUH!!!!" right now) If there is an abrasive that's safe for glass that you can use with simple green I would definitely give it another shot.

I haven't noticed any film or shit after usage, but considering 99% ISO + SALT is more convenient for most people to get anyway (You go to convenience stores and grocery stores at some point), I don't see any reason to use Simple Green at this time.

Iso + Salt > Simple Green in my testing.

Simple green works.
I use a cacade pellet for most of my water pipes, hydrotube and bubbler.

PBW I used and ACOLONOX (mis-spelleded) they worked great however CASCADE is not bad at all?

Some hate my strains however they work?

If $ is tight = SPRAY SIMPLE GREEN and a teaspoon of CASCADE and fill with RO water.

I wash all my glass often.

PERPECTIVE

@biohacker GSC is very easy.
GOD'S GIFT in the purple JARZ.
I will try to be CIVILIZED one day!
ROSIN is cheap and my MOD @ 38 watts is getting it done in a GOON TANK.

Maybe because you wash your glass often?

All of my stuff in my testing was quite dirty. I'm not saying Simple Green didn't clean it. It just didn't remove the hard water stains or the resin build up.

I'll try the cascade with the simple green+water though and see if that helps. I'm open to trying to get it to work but so far it seems that without an abrasive (like the cascade) it wouldn't work well. I have a lot of cascade so I'll add that to my current mixture and see if it gets the resin build up around the downstem and other areas.

I'll always just stick to 99% ISO....does the trick every time, and for anything difficult, just add some coarse salt. Lots of hot water rinsing, and i'm confident it's safe. With SG or other chemical detergents, I just don't trust that all residue and film have been removed.

@ataxian Did you buy the SOLO2 on 4/20 with the insane sales?

I don't buy thing just because of some sell?

I need 1 vaporizer, and 1 back up vaporizer.

See you have backups. I still need an SSV though at lesat. That's why I'm not buying a third Minivap.

Have you seen the SILICONE BonG's?
Too bad the mouthpiece is so big!

It may be small however I'm medicated beyond belief!

I have, but I don't do silicone...remember I don't touch silicone tubing? And I like big flared mouthpieces as uncivilized as you think they might be!

I'm sober beyond belief!!! I feel more CIVILIZED than ever!
SAD!
I am CIVILIZED with CANNABIS?
For three decades I was SOBER (how lame?)

With AUTO-IMMUNE disease CANNABIS is awesome! Safer than MILK?

Sometimes I have to carpet bomb!

CASCADE + SIMPLE GREEN + BAKING SODA +
VINEGAR + Water 80f = SHAKE and let sit.

See what work's for you?

What I do works for me!

Normally:

SIMPLY GREEN SPRAY + CASCADE PELLETT + H2O = 15min or longer?

I rinse with RO water and Citrus juice.
We have limes and my neighbor has lemons.

Keep your glass clean!
The experience is worth it!

R U EXPERIENCED?

Ya I hadn't tried the cascade yet. Once I try your methods I'll report back.

Didn't realize you added baking soda and vinegar to the mix too I'll have to pick up. Some baking soda.

Cleaning us important so gotta do my research into finding an easy way to clean. Pbw is great but may not be for everyone

HI @ataxian, my friend - hope you are well. There seem to be as many approaches to cleaning class as there are vaporists.

I'm mostly with @t-dub on this. That is, I use PBW for glass used for herb vaping. Works brilliantly and I just cleaned a bunch last night.

For oil rigs, where I get a line of reclaim (really just condensed vapor) at the water line, I will use a bit of ISO as the PBW does not seem as effective as putting this stuff in solution and then follow with a PBW wash just to get it sparkling clean.

Be well.

Baking soda and acid in one solution? Does this make chemical sense?

I'm very happy with PBW.

Dunno? I didn't try them all together because of this. I tried the simple green and cascade first. I'll be rinsing tonight it's soaked for days and been shaken a lot. Still some resin stuck on the downstem but the cascade really seems to help clean it all up.

one particular piece left a whitish haze that would never ever come off.

That's when I quite using PBW, nothing seamed to remove the haze. I think I used too much also.

For me it's Cranberry extract + bottled water for preventive maintenance (2-4 drops) and Mean Green for the daily rinse. Keeps my glass spotless, no shaking, and is very cheap.
