Huh? I thought you bought a bunch of the Klein pieces from China. You are getting rid of then all?

And yes it starts with 1 piece then you get more. They're useful for different things as well. I use some pieces for flavor, some to get messed up, others I use while watching TV or lying down depending on the angle I'm looking at and the most comfortable way to use my vape in conjunction with glass.

I'd say for me, I'd need about 4-5 good Chinese pieces if I wanted to be completely content. I've got 2 I like now, and at least 2 I've got my eye on.

No, I don't count the Hemping pieces as my "Cheap Chinese" stuff. They are really nice actually. I only kept one of each color klein anyway and those will always stay in the collection. I was just getting rid of my "Clone" stuff since I usually use either my genuine Hydratubes or US made scientific bubblers with my vapes. And either Hemping or US heady glass for my enail and dabs. So I am just giving away or selling most of the clear Chinese rigs.

Okay, had a donated bubbler so had to begin my collection...I mentioned the other one I ordered and I am pumped.

This was cheap, and I liked the design well enough to get moving. Right now I have a Yocan Torch (dnail next year) so just need a boost into cilvilized (peace out @ataxian !) vaping...

Looked to be American company, etc. in Sacramento CA (Oh, and I don't shill for anyone, get kickbacks, etc. You know. Stupid sh*t.)

Anyway wouldn't mind any thoughts (or none is fine, there are probably seven trillion percs under $50)

I usually like a more scientific look (like I love this in clear: https://www.420elite.com/products/zaf-duel-honeycomb-9-arm-tree-percolator-water-pipe), but...even though it was a bit artisan, I found that surprised me - given what I had been looking at in that price range. (I'm a noob, certainly no world glass traveler here!) Also, I prefer a sidecar, and felt it let me split the difference.

First off, you are *way* out of my league - so this is like a little leaguer walking up to a professional baseball player. But you asked!

I agree with @Hogni - it seems artisan to a painful point, *but* I know some people really dig ceramic-ey looking stuff. (I don't personally, with a few exceptions)

And yet after that I'm about to go artsy fartsy here...!

It didn't "speak to me". It gave me no "Hey cool look at that". My eyes felt it was..."busy", trying to "say" too many things.

Of course this thread is about affordability and quality first, but I can't do it without "form" as well, just me.

(Of course, the way things tend to go for me... this is probably a piece by a famous person and I am about to get my arse kicked for that opinion, so...to the bunker!!) :D

I have custom pieces that where more than cheap?

Cheap Glass is good since I break it so much!
I think there's a trend for more expensive pieces.

Breaking glass is what I do $2,000 or $20?

And I honestly think inexpensive is relative.

Since I am still on my Yocan Torch, that has kept some $ free to get some glass. (This is per the $ boss, aka my awesome wife)

I have a dnail in my sights sometime this Spring - I could have had it before then, but decided to go glass shopping for a few months - the only piece I currently have is a 4" tall single-perc cheap borisilicate (donated).

I had too many problems getting my cc to go through on dhgate (they said I need to call my bank on the one and cc company on the other and open int'l transactions, wife didn't like that idea), so I started searching only US/NA companies.

So I did have to "up" my level of cheap a bit. Like my original desire for "affordable" and "I like it" was a Mobius Matrix. I liked it because of the "form", it would do what I wanted, and I like a sidecar. But it runs around $75 cheapest here, I got the esposito and a second backup Yocan Torch for that.

(So there's my "cover" for what ataxian *knows* is my "Look, something shiny I gotta have it!" streak...)

D020 or D020-D from DHGate Sunshine Store. Great pieces to start off with. Some complain the D020 is a bit to small for their liking, but I find it pairs well w/ my Vapcap. I believe it also has a little less diffusion than the D020-D for dabbing. Really can't go wrong w/ either. Maggot Brain is my favorite Funkadelic album!

Edit to add: I recently order several of these from various vendors and none came with a 14/18 converter. One vendor only sent a flower bowl, but the rest all sent 1 bowl, 1 nail, one globe, and one 18mm M to 18mm M for the nail/globe.

When you're viewing an item it shows the sellers name in the center of the page. It'll say "sold by xxxxx"

To find a seller just enter their name in the search bar at the top. If you're on a page for a product when searching for a store, be sure to click "On dhgate" and not "In this store"

The ice cream portion is a carb cap.

You heat the nail portion, wait for it to cool slightly until its hot-warm and then hit it while placing your dab on top. Once most of the dab is in the nail, you cover with the ice cream cone, stem down into the nail and continue to hit it while alternating between lightly cutting off airflow and letting it through with your finger on the carb hole.
