I got mine from Oregon Glass Blower. It's worth the extra couple bucks to get one that's straight and true, and that actually lowers the joint an appreciable amount.

Can anyone please explain to me how this RC can be filled to the required level without water finding it's way back through the perc' and flooding up out of the female joint?

Has anyone seen a function vid of this?
It's pretty tempting, but I'd need to know that It definitely functions as intended.

I don't think 14mm and 18mm would have any significant difference is draw resistance, especially with vapes, that already have a lot of it.
Just imagine sticking an EVO into it. The EVO has four 2mm wide holes in its airpath. So it would be responsible for 99% of the draw resistance you experience, no matter if you use a 18mm or 14mm water tool. Maybe a fritted disk perc could make the resistance even a little bigger, but the joint size? I don't think so. Even the 14mm is so much wider than these restrictions in the bamboo.

I personally prefer 18mm. Firstly for the compatibility with my EVO, but that's just a cyclic reason "I already have 18mm so I get more 18mm".
Better reasons for me could be that 18mm is probably more durable and would survive small hits better. And I like the fact, that I can dry 18mm joint with my finger. My finger doesn't fit into 14mm. Also the compatibility argument holds only for male joints. For example all my glass has female inputs, so in my case, the oppositze argument is true, I can convert to 14mm with that smallest adapater.

Also I've ordered that fritted piece and it's estimated to arrive in the end of July. I'll report on it once it gets here. I hope it will be as great as I think it could be.

Hyman Quartz:
ordered - 06-23-2016 01:20
delivered - 07-05-2016 02:300
ordered:
1x Clear (not ground) 14mm male joint Banger 4mm
1x carb cap with straw thingie

Received wrong banger (ground not clear
Received cracked carb cap

over all impressions..
carb cap doesnt fit extremely well, banger is tried and tested but i wanted a clear joint...soo....

what do you guys think of all of those tiny fractures near where the straw hits the carb cap?

upon closer examination... there are lots of black spots inside both items. the banger is of inconsistent thickness and has a blemish in the base of the banger. this is my second hyman order. first was flawless... he can have these back though.
...edit...
They refunded the order.... going to place an order for a matching set from ?

So my package from yingmin did not clear customs for the 3rd time. USPS lady said she thought the last one wasn't even in the bulk shipment and that is why it was never scanned after arrival in LA.
Has anybody else had this much trouble getting a delivery? Should I just cut my losses with this seller? Is there some kind of reason a seller would be doing this intentionally? I have heard of sending invalid tracking codes but that is just to buy some time in China, right?

Am I an asshole if I don't ask for a refund at this point? Seems like others are getting orders from him no problem while I twiddle my thumbs.

Most ive waited is 3 months from Steven.... best to just order a second pipe and not wait for one shipment. They usually show up... and you wouldnt be an asshole for just asking for a refund. The problem is, eventually one will show up at your door, and if you are like me...you will still want it lol.

i just order 2 at a time...makes waiting for them much easier.

I think Los Angeles customs is the culprit :( My last 2 glass orders that went through there have returned to China in the last 2 weeks.

This happened to me when I ordered the Matrix Hydratube from SunshineStore. It also got stuck in Los Angeles ISC customs on June 20. It even shipped super fast from China (2 days to arrive to US). Unfortunately it was returned back to China. I also have a bong from another seller (glassbong_salon) that got caught in Los Angeles customs on June 26th and has frozen. That one shipped in 24 hours from China to Los Angeles: I think maybe Customs is being suspicious of packages that arrive very fast from China and are valued very low, like $5-$10 on the box. I know the sellers are always declaring the value of the item to be lower to avoid any taxes/export fees.

Also ^ with those two items, I had to wait for over 10 days for both the sellers to ship them out with tracking number. After the tracking number was finally sent after a week of purchase, I'm guessing they did 24-48 hour shipping to make up for the lost time. I would try asking these sellers if they're using faster shipping than normal, maybe that is what is alerting customs: a cheaply valued item ($5) getting overnight shipping.

But my hydratube from yingmin came in okay, but it arrived at the San Francisco customs first. That package also arrived fast (6 days from ordering in China, to arriving to my house) Also I talked to yingmin, he says he is going to make a bigger version of the Hydratube :D

eah I'm guessing maybe items that gets shipped via plane gets inspected more thoroughly than items shipped by boat? When did we start getting overnight delivery to the US?

Hey Guys! Haven't dropped in one of my favorite threads in while so I thought I would say hello. I went on a beautiful cruise and the VTC mini & Divine Tribe donut Plus the Milaana along with the PWTA got me through 10 beautiful days abroad!

It was good to get my other vapes and glass back, you know how I like my rotation!
When I got back I had some new toys to play with! 1 was the new 510 Henail from Greenlight that they sent me to review. Well it is MUCH improved over the standard 18650 version when using it with my VTC mini. The top is ceramic instead of PTFE which is much better. And now the nails are ceramic, or quartz and screw in. But the biggest improvement is the bubbler it comes with, it actually works now lol. The first versions were very hit or miss on draw resistance. The new Henail bubblers have 2 slits instead of 2 or 4 holes and draw resistance is only slightly higher (if any) than my PWTA knock off. Plus it fits right on my DT 2.7 atty like a glove! This thing may actually get some use, the case is awesome too!

Second was my new Hazifier! It's the new 18mm bubbler from Haze. It was designed for the Haze but works with anything since it's 18mm female of course. At $160 I guess it doesn't fall under cheap, but it cost me exactly $0 since I won it here on the FC Name the water tool contest. So it falls under the Cheap bubbler category for me!
This thing is so unique! The perc is an inline perc with 5 polished holes. 2 arms bring the vapor up to a pacifier shaped mouthpiece or "Teat" lol! @ataxian you would love the mouthpiece on this!
It actually hits better with the Haze than any bubbler I have and it a nice change for my other ones. I have been rocking the lotus with it lately, flavor is really good from this bubbler.

Doesn't look like it will work too well, but let us know if it does and how it does.

I'd still advise you spend twice as much (and that's very rare for me!) and get what we know works well. Yeah.... It's another $20+, but well worth it IMO. That's less than 2 g's for most of us.

Always nice to save money, but better if you figure out what it will cost first. ;)
