Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Is that, THIS one?
That's the one! Kinda wish it had a matrix perk like the regular one but I'll probably still order one to try out.

With the non-fab recycler I've got the water level right up to the intakes and it's hitting like a dream now with no resistance. Best part is the 5 second vortex slow drain you can watch after the hit is finished.

What about recyclers for dabs? I'm just not a big fan of the ball or looks of the FC-710. Thank you for the suggestion though.
The recycler I linked to would be a good choice if you go that route. Aside from looking cool, the basic idea is it helps to cool the vapour more while preserving flavour as the bubbles pass up the arms in the water and the bubbles then pop into the atmosphere closer to your mouth. If and when you have the extra cash, I do suggest getting the FC-710 regardless of your feelings about it, you just might be surprised. Besides you can't really see it while you're hitting it anyway. I agree it's not the nicest looking one but out of the 5 pieces in my main rotation it's usually the one I end up using the most.

Ive been following this thread for such a long time.. I now theres been so many comments made about the fc710.. but my memory is just so bad.. I really dont like the looks on this fc710 rig but watching you guys talk about it makes me want to order one! ... what is the deal with this thing? If I remember correctly the ball makes it so that you get 'fresh' water in the tube trough the entire draw process? I really wonder whats the deal with this rig, Guess I might just have to order one myself to find out!

Sorry to see about that broken steven FTK :'(

I am having an absolute blast with this thing:

http://www.dhgate.com/product/2015-...x/255741536.html#myaccount_orderdetail-1-null

Might be my favorite set up. Quality is good and the options are many. It's a great way to play with diffusion and sample how much it can effect taste, etc. I'm using the can with the shower perc only and it's perfect!
Thanks for the field report, bro - I want one o' these SO BAD.

It's all notional for me, tho: my 420 giftings sit unused for the usual obvious reason. I have no doubt that - once I'm able to use what I have, I'll love them and pet them (not call them George, tho...).

That said, I think that's a super-cool rig. GLAD you love it!

---

*sigh* totally failed to insert the other post into this one, somehow blowing away the manual post-quote AND failing to get an 'insert quotes' prompt.

So, response lost completely AND still double-posted.

Sorry, y'all - was trying to comment on @cybrguy's D-022 post, and how smokecartel.com has the rig at a perfectly affordable price, even for me. Thanks for the comments on that rig, dude: I almost bought one, but went with a "Biohazard Glass 13 In Showerhead Honeycomb Perc Martini Water Pipe" (from brotherswithglass) instead - largely because I got a little Purr 'sherlock' for free with it. Great to hear your comments as I go about testing my still-brand-new goodies, I'm sure I'll learn a lot, and I'll be cross-referencing everyone's posted experiences.

First glass, first "real" bong ('cept for tiny, useless, water-spitting, bubble-less bubblers & a barely useable acrylic tube). I put "Biohazard" in quotes, because the thing arrived without a mark, a name, or a logo, - unlike the pic on the site, so I guess BWG is selling Chinese.

Water test on the "Bio" was impressive for a first: good draw, easy pull, plenty of bubble-ation, NO DRINKING REQUIRED  Got some tiny perforated titanium discs that fit the stock bowl and my OGB snapper and the Purr like a dream. REALLY looking forward to this!

The Purr mini-hammer/not-really-calabash is...cute. And pink (clear or amber, not happening). It is also TINY, which may be a good or bad thing, I don't know yet - I'll either love it, hate it, make a gift of it, or find its 'special purpose'.

Water-test not real satisfactory: a mouthful of water w/ every pull is guaranteed if I add water even a couple millimeters above the perc slits...and I have the feeling this is gonna be a pain to clean.

and BTW:

HAPPY MAY DAY, EVERYBODY!!!!
SO glad I can come here and have these conversations....

Do you guy's think that multi sectioned piece that @stickstones linked would make a good travel piece? I never like taking glass out of my abode.....I sold most of my glass that I didn't love, and I don't like taking my nice stuff out  .....There are some nice parks around here, with the nice weather, I think something multisectional like that could be a nice travel piece in the right setting.... or will the multiple parts be clanging around in a Packratz or something  and be even more fragile then just one whole piece??

The upside is it's so cheap so I won't mind if it breaks.......I haven't bought China glass in awhile, its a solid investment IMO because I only dab or vape out of them, and am able to sell the glass to my toker friends basically at cost when I get tired of it. And they are super happy because they just aren't familiar with Faberge Eggs or Fritted Discs or anything really .....haven't clued them in on dhgate yet :)

For a travel piece, I highly recommend this one. It's small and made with thick glass and the design means water won't travel back up the joint if you tilt it which is important on the go.

I have this one and like it a lot. I do think that you need to wrap each piece with bubble wrap or newspaper or something so they don't bump into each other.

Just pulled the trigger on this last week! I'm really excited; smaller pieces are my preference now I think. Not that I'm swayed from time to time though..

should i be worried?

my glass has been in and out of my city's customs for the past week. Missed its expected due date and now the tracking has fallen off the radar (I'm not getting any new/more updates)

On the other hand, i ordered a M-M 14m glass adapter and it's tracking stopped at departing china, and that got to me just fine, in under a week.

ordered it like the 14th or so april. USPS lady keeps saying its in customs, but the last kown update was it leaving customs.

Planing a few glass order for me and friends.

That one : Hollow-glass 4mm by glassartist http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/2015-feb-newest-glass-bong-9-quot-inches/247499767.html recommend by @Monsoon is really tempting. I wonder if someone has it and use Lotus with it ?
It might fit but I'm not sure ...

Any other piece advices for a good free air flow kind of D020 like ?

I already have the FC-mod and I love it ! Use the showerhead, the Matrix perc got also broken from a simple hit. I'm waiting for a jhook and new matrix perc to try a jhook-ashcatcher combo cause the diffusion of matrix in the low volume was really good. It took me weeks&messages with Jane to get a jhook made and a matrix perc, but it might be shipped already..

I've had similar issues with USPS. They've claimed wrong address on the package label and I tracked my package bounce around from different locations until finally it was delivered. Funny how they magically figured out my address even though as they claim it had the wrong address. I was told by a friend who works for Fedex that when USPS get international packages they just don't ship them right out. They wait until they have acquired a certain amount then process them. Then they cry foul and keep saying that USPS is going under well as far as I'm concerned they can go F' themselves, I'd rather pay a couple of extra buck and let a competent service (DHL, UPS & Fedex) make my deliveries.
I wouldn't worry too much DrSteez I've had the same message for a week than on the following week it was delivered in a couple of days. Good luck and let us know if everything works out...:peace:

I think the rattle can has a flaw where the water shoots up the mouthpiece..saw a review on a youtube site and the guy mocked it..he didnt understand what it was but it still has the mp flaw.

I've managed to destroy 3 DO-20's over the past few years. I do better with side joints like the FC-711 or the D020--2-W. Can someone recommend a good one that fits that criteria? The one Monsoon recommended looks interesting but I wonder if it's too small to hold up the CFX or solo. I also don't understand what an oil rig is.

If I understand the question, an Oil Rig would be a piece typically designed for use with Concentrates over Flower. Characteristics used to be a Male Joint (not so much now) and smaller in stature (for flavour) than flower piece. For whatever reason, whenever I hear oil rig I always think of the Jerome Baker series of robot pieces lol. I have the "Mind Control" one and really like it.
That being said i hear it now being used as a general term that is applied fairly loosely to any piece that could be used for concentrates, dabbing etc. made from glass.

Wow! I have my original D020 from back in early 2014 when I bought it! It's one of the only glass pieces I kept when moving south.

If you liked the D020-2-W, I suggest you check out the GB-187-S It's one of my favorite pieces

It seems more than a few of Stevenmlz79's FTKs come with this feature:

I thought you all might like to know how Steven and Jane are totally ignoring emails about this. Nothing new though, in past months almost every message reply from them contained some kind of lie. I'm surprised anyone does repeat business with these shysters. They are very unethical and a terrible vendor.

For the record, just from picking it up, the mouthpiece came off clean with barely a touch (no glass pieces besides the two shown). There was a pop/tink sound as if the weld was formed under tension, not cooled properly, etc. Fyi you can also see circular marks frm the clamping apparatus at the top of the funnel, Jane calls them "marks of chucking" and claims every Piece has them (obviously false from all the pics we've seen here).

I think it's time to start smashing defect pieces from Steven and blaming it on shipping.

CCG replied pretty fast to my email about their FTK leaking and I sent them a photo this afternoon. Hard to see but this is the crack in the joint/weld/whatever. I just sent this a little while ago so we'll see how they treat it, so far so good though. My impression so far has been Steven FTK oil piece, CCG is for flowers.

Edit: for some reason this photo won't show up here's the link.

Apparently it won't let me upload images for some reason here is a link: http://imgur.com/Rya7mlw

I've seen a lot of valid constructive criticism for the big three lately (CCG/Kathy/Steven). In some ways I wonder if the increasing popularity they are enjoying here, Reddit, and other places has caused an unforeseen spike in demand and the quality issues are somehow linked with trying to keep up. I've dealt with Steven more than the other 2 but have bought from all of them. I've never had experiences like people have described the last few months. For myself I think I shall take a break from buying from DHG until some of things clear up a little.
I would also say mistakes will happen, but when vendors shut down communication and quit responding...that's completely unacceptable. Especially toward people here that have went above and beyond to sing the praises of some of these folks.
